Nate Lowe 1B | CIN
Rangers' Nathaniel Lowe: Goes yard again
Lowe went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Angels.
The Rangers had only two hits in the contest, with Lowe's seventh-inning blast accounting for their run production. The first baseman has an extra-base hit in three of the last four games. He's up to a .302/.355/.497 slash line with 27 homers, 76 RBI, 72 runs scored and three triples through 152 contests in a breakout campaign.

Jose Abreu 1B | HOU
White Sox's Jose Abreu: Absent from Saturday's lineup
Abreu isn't starting Saturday against the Padres.
Abreu went 4-for-14 with two doubles, two RBI and a strikeout over the last four games, but he'll be out of the lineup for the second time in less than a week. Andrew Vaughn will take over at first base and bat sixth.

Yandy Diaz 1B | TB
Rays' Yandy Diaz: Not in Saturday's lineup
Diaz will sit Saturday against the Astros, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.
The Rays clinched a spot in the playoffs Friday and will sit a handful of starters a day later. Diaz may have been bound for the bench regardless of Friday's result, however, as that game was his first one back in the lineup after a 10-day absence due to shoulder issues. Jonathan Aranda starts at third base Saturday.

Yuli Gurriel DH | SD
Astros' Yuli Gurriel: Knocks in two
Gurriel went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI on Friday against the Rays.
Gurriel tallied two separate RBI knocks, including a single in the fourth inning and a double in the final frame. Despite hitting just .200 across his last 10 games, Gurriel has managed seven RBI in that span. He's maintained a .240/.286/.359 line across 567 plate appearances for the season.

Yandy Diaz 1B | TB
Rays' Yandy Diaz: Three hits in return
Diaz went 3-for-4 with a double, a walk, two RBI and two runs scored Friday against the Astros.
Diaz returned to the starting lineup for the first time since Sept. 19, though he was limited to duties as the designated hitter. He put together a strong performance, highlighted by a two-run double in the sixth inning. Though he's offered little power production, Diaz has managed to get on base at a .402 clip this season while also hitting .296 across 555 plate appearances.

Yandy Diaz 1B | TB
Rays' Yandy Diaz: Good to go
Diaz (shoulder) will bat leadoff and serve as the designated hitter Friday against the Astros, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.
Shoulder soreness has kept Diaz out of the starting lineup since Sept. 19, and he made just one appearance off the bench during that time. He won't take the field just yet but is evidently healthy enough to hit.

Kole Calhoun 1B | CLE
Rangers' Kole Calhoun: Makes contribution off bench
Calhoun hit an RBI single and stole a base in Thursday's 10-9 extra-innings loss to the Mariners.
Calhoun pinch hit for Mark Mathias in the 10th inning and briefly put the Rangers ahead 8-7. The RBI single was Calhoun's first hit since Sept. 12, a slump which has seen him lose hold of an everyday role on a team far out of contention. The outfielder now has a .201/.261/.338 slash line with 12 home runs, three steals, 48 RBI and 36 runs scored through 120 contests in 2022.

Nate Lowe 1B | CIN
Rangers' Nathaniel Lowe: Hits solo shot in loss
Lowe went 1-for-6 with a solo home run in Thursday's 10-9 loss to the Mariners in extra innings.
Lowe didn't have a great game, but he was able to get the Rangers within a run with his seventh-inning blast. He'd gone 10 games without a homer, batting .263 with just two RBI and three runs scored in that span. The first baseman is up to 26 long balls on the year while adding 74 RBI, 71 runs scored, two stolen bases, 26 doubles, three triples and a .304/.357/.496 slash line through 150 contests.

Carlos Santana 1B | ARI
Mariners' Carlos Santana: Heads to bench Thursday
Santana is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Rangers.
Santana started the past 17 games and posted an .804 OPS with seven home runs and 15 RBI during that stretch, though he's 2-for-25 over Seattle's last seven contests. Jesse Winker will serve as the designated hitter Thursday after sitting out a couple games with a wrist issue.
