  • Ty France 1B | SD

Mariners' Ty France: Not starting, getting wrist checked

France is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Astros while he receives an MRI for his sore left wrist, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Though France was able to play the entirety of Saturday's 5-4 win, he tweaked his wrist again on a swing in his final at-bat after first suffering the injury in Tuesday's 5-4 win over the Rangers. After sitting out Wednesday, France proceeded to start in each of the Mariners' last three games while going 3-for-11 with a double. The Mariners still apparently have some concern about France's ability to play through the injury, so the MRI will determine the club's next course of action for the All-Star first baseman. At this time, a stint on the injured list hasn't been ruled out for France, who can be considered day-to-day heading into Monday's series opener with the Yankees.

  • Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero: Notches second stolen base

Guerrero went 1-for-2 with a walk, a stolen base and two runs in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Tigers.

Guerrero is now up to two stolen bases on the season, both of which have come within the past week. Since the beginning of July, Guerrero has left the yard just three times, but he hasn't been too much of a disappointment for fantasy managers, considering he's hitting .340 with 16 runs and 16 RBI in addition to two steals on the month. Guerrero will be in the lineup once again for Sunday's series finale with Detroit, manning first base and batting second.

  • Alex Kirilloff LF | MIN

Twins' Alex Kirilloff: Exits with wrist injury

Kirilloff exited Saturday's game with right wrist soreness Saturday against the Padres, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.

Kirilloff exited the game in the seventh inning, with Mark Contreras taking his place in right field. There are no details about the severity of the injury, though Kirilloff has a history of wrist injuries -- he was forced to the injured list with inflammation in the same wrist earlier this season -- which makes this news more concerning.

  • Orioles' Ryan Mountcastle: Dealing with injury

Manager Brandon Hyde said that Mountcastle isn't starting Saturday against the Reds since the first baseman is "banged up," Andy Kostka of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Hyde didn't elaborate much on the nature of Mountcastle's injury, only saying that the 25-year-old is dealing with "bumps and bruises." However, Hyde hopes that Mountcastle will be available off the bench Saturday, so it doesn't seem like the issue is particularly serious.

  • Carlos Santana 1B | ARI

Mariners' Carlos Santana: Absent from Saturday's lineup

Santana isn't starting Saturday against the Astros.

Santana will head to the bench after he hit .050 with a double, three RBI and three strikeouts over the last five games. Ty France is starting at first base while Kyle Lewis serves as the designated hitter.

  • Orioles' Ryan Mountcastle: Not starting Saturday

Mountcastle isn't starting Saturday against the Reds, Rich Dubroff of BaltimoreBaseball.com reports.

Mountcastle has hit just .065 with three RBI and a run over eight games since the All-Star break, and he'll have a chance to reset Saturday. Trey Mancini is shifting to first base while Terrin Vavra serves as the designated hitter.

  • Josh Naylor 1B | SEA

Guardians' Josh Naylor: Scratched with right ankle soreness

Naylor was scratched from Saturday's lineup against the Rays due to right ankle soreness, Zack Meisel of The Athletic reports.

Naylor sat out Friday against Tampa Bay and is apparently dealing with an ankle injury that will keep him out of the lineup for a second consecutive game. Whether he's available off the bench remains to be seen, but Owen Miller will take his place at first base and bat cleanup.

  • Nick Pratto 1B | TEX

Royals' Nick Pratto: Retreats to bench

Pratto isn't starting Saturday against the Yankees, Joel Goldberg of Bally Sports Kansas City reports.

Pratto started the last two games and went 1-for-6 with a triple, two walks and three strikeouts. Vinnie Pasquantino will man first base while Maikel Garcia stays in the lineup at shortstop for a third straight game.

  • Anthony Rizzo 1B | NYY

Yankees' Anthony Rizzo: Not starting Saturday

Rizzo isn't in the lineup Saturday against the Royals.

Rizzo started the last seven games and slashed .240/.387/.520 with two homers, a double, five runs, two RBI, two walks and three strikeouts. He'll get a breather while Aaron Judge serves as the designated hitter with Aaron Hicks starting in center field.

  • Kole Calhoun 1B | CLE

Rangers' Kole Calhoun: Out against southpaw

Calhoun is not in Friday's lineup against the Angels.

Calhoun heads to the bench with lefty Patrick Sandoval on the hill for the Halos. Elier Hernandez will start in left field and bat seventh.
