  • Nate Lowe 1B | CIN

Rangers' Nathaniel Lowe: Sitting out Wednesday

Lowe is not in the starting lineup Wednesday against the Mariners.

Lowe will get a day off after he went 8-for-27 with two homers, two doubles, four RBI and three runs scored over six games since the All-Star break. Elier Hernandez will take over at first base and bat ninth in the series finale.

  • Alex Kirilloff LF | MIN

Twins' Alex Kirilloff: Hitting streak ends

Kirilloff went 0-for-4 in Tuesday's 7-6 loss to the Brewers.

The empty showing at the plate ended a nine-game hitting streak for Kirilloff, who produced a .344/.417/.375 slash line during that stretch. Kirilloff should be a solid source of batting average while he continues to hold down an everyday role in the corner outfield, but he hasn't yet tapped into the power that some might have expected from him based on what he did at Triple-A St. Paul earlier this season (.641 slugging percentage). With Max Kepler (toe) on the bench for the second day in a row in Wednesday's series finale with Milwaukee, Kirilloff will slide over from left field to start in right while serving as the Twins' No. 6 hitter, according to Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press.

  • Nick Pratto 1B | TEX

    Royals' Nick Pratto: Sitting Wednesday

Pratto will sit Wednesday against the Angels, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

Pratto will get a breather after he went 0-for-4 with three walks and a hit-by-pitch in the first two contests of the series. Ryan O'Hearn will take over at first base and bat fifth versus Los Angeles.

  • Royals' Vinnie Pasquantino: On bench Wednesday

Pasquantino is not in the starting lineup Wednesday versus the Angels, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

Pasquantino will get a breather after he went 2-for-7 with a double, a run scored and two walks over the first two games of the series. Andrew Benintendi will slide into the designated hitter spot while Kyle Isbel enters the lineup in left field and bats seventh in the series finale.

  • Josh Naylor 1B | SEA

Guardians' Josh Naylor: Steals base in win

Naylor went 2-for-5 with a double, an RBI, a stolen base and a run scored in Tuesday's 8-3 win over the Red Sox.

Naylor has four multi-hit efforts in his last seven games. He's gone 10-for-28 (.357) in that span. The 25-year-old has also stolen multiple bases in a season for the first time in his four-year major-league career -- he was on the back end of a double-steal with Jose Ramirez in the fourth inning. Naylor has earned steady playing time with a .280/.332/.500 slash line, 13 home runs, 52 RBI, 31 runs scored and 15 doubles through 68 contests this year.

  • Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero: Launches two-run homer

Guerrero went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's win over the Cardinals.

Guerrero took Andre Pallante deep for a two-run shot in the bottom of the first inning, scoring teammate George Springer. The homer was his 21st of the year and third in the month of July. Guerrero now owns a seven-game hit streak, batting .452 with a home run, three doubles, six RBI and eight runs over that stretch. On the season, the 23-year-old is batting .279 with 21 homers, 62 RBI and 55 runs over 369 at-bats in 96 games.

  • Yuli Gurriel DH | SD

Astros' Yuli Gurriel: Not starting Tuesday

Gurriel is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Athletics.

Gurriel has a .528 OPS in five games since the All-Star break and will head to the bench for Tuesday's contest. J.J. Matijevic will take over at first base and bat seventh for the Astros.

  • Luke Raley RF | SEA

Rays' Luke Raley: Tallies two doubles

Raley went 2-for-3 with two doubles and a walk Monday against the Orioles.

Raley made his third consecutive start and has been in the lineup for three of Tampa Bay's first four games coming out of the All-Star break. He's made the case for more consistent playing time in the Rays' depleted outfield by reaching base six times and collecting two RBI across 12 plate appearances in that limited span.

  • Nate Lowe 1B | CIN

Rangers' Nathaniel Lowe: Goes yard again Monday

Lowe went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a double in Monday's 4-3 loss to the Mariners.

Lowe has gone 7-for-23 (.304) with two homers and two doubles in five games since the All-Star break. The first baseman's ninth-inning blast got the Rangers within a run Monday, but they couldn't find the tying run. He's emerged as a reliable power bat in the middle of the order, slashing .272/.322/.444 with 14 homers, 41 RBI, 44 runs scored, 15 doubles and a stolen base through 90 contests.

  • Ty France 1B | SD

Mariners' Ty France: Goes deep in three-hit game

France went 3-for-3 with a solo home run, a hit-by-pitch and two total runs scored in Monday's 4-3 win over the Rangers.

France accounted for the Mariners' lone extra-base hit in the contest when he took Glenn Otto deep in the fifth inning. Since the All-Star break, France has gone 6-for-15 (.400) with two homers. The infielder is up to 13 long balls, 51 RBI, 38 runs scored, 18 doubles and a stellar .312/.382/.485 slash line in 83 contests.
