Abreu is managing leg soreness and will be limited to serving as the designated hitter in Wednesday's game against the Blue Jays, though he could instead be held out of the lineup, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.

Abreu went 2-for-6 with a run scored and never exited Tuesday's contest, but manager Tony La Russa did consider replacing him with a pinch runner during the 12th inning. It doesn't appear to be a serious injury, but the veteran slugger won't play the field in Wednesday's series finale, and he could receive a full day off if the soreness remains bothersome.

Kirilloff will start at first base and bat seventh in Tuesday's game against the Guardians.

Kirilloff will pick up his third consecutive start at first base after he went a combined 2-for-9 with two doubles, two RBI and a run in the final two contests of Minnesota's weekend series in Arizona. While Jorge Polanco (back) is on the injured list, Luis Arraez is expected to fill in as the Twins' primary second baseman, paving the way for Kirilloff to get a trial as the team's top first baseman. The lefty-hitting Kirilloff is likely to occupy the strong side of a platoon with the righty-hitting Jose Miranda.

The Rays recalled Aranda from Triple-A Durham on Tuesday.

Aranda joins the 26-man active roster as a replacement for outfielder Manuel Margot (knee), who was placed on the 10-day injured list Tuesday along with fellow outfielder Kevin Kiermaier (hip). Since he had seen work at three infield spots (third base, second base and first base) this season, Aranda won't be a candidate to directly replace either Kiermaier or Margot in the Rays' regular lineup, but the versatile Vidal Brujan could begin seeing more work in the outfield to facilitate playing time for Aranda. The 24-year-old slashed .310/.386/.512 with 11 home runs and three stolen bases in 280 plate appearances for Durham prior to receiving his first big-league call-up.

Raley was called up from Triple-A Durham on Tuesday.

Raley is set to make his season debut with the Rays after being recalled from Triple-A on Tuesday. He'll fill one of the roster spots that were left when Manuel Margot (knee) and Kevin Kiermaier (hip) were placed on the 10-day injured list. The outfielder has produced a .299/.374/.575 slash line with seven homers, 25 RBI, 14 runs and two stolen based over 87 at-bats with Durham this season.

Vaughn went 4-for-4 with a home run, a double, two total runs and two total RBI in a victory versus the Blue Jays on Monday.

Vaughn didn't waste any time making his mark on the contest, belting a run-scoring double in the first inning. He followed with three additional hits, including a solo homer in the fourth. This was Vaughn's third four-hit performance of the campaign, and he's slashing an impressive .389/.444/.500 with 10 runs, nine RBI and an 8:10 BB:K over 17 games in June.

Rizzo went 2-for-4 with a solo home run Monday in a 4-2 win over the Rays.

Rizzo gave the Yankees an early lead, going deep to right field in the first inning. He added a sixth-inning single but struck out in his other two at-bats. Rizzo appears to have regained his power stroke, smashing four home runs and driving in eight runs over his past five games.

Torkelson went 2-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI in Monday's loss to the Red Sox.

That's three straight multi-hit efforts for Torkelson, which has pushed his season batting average from .178 up to .198. It's still a rough number overall for the rookie, but fantasy managers are at least seeing signs that the 2020 No. 1 overall pick is starting to figure things out at the plate. Torkelson's fantasy stock should continue to climb as he gains confidence at the MLB level.

Santana isn't in the lineup for Monday's game against the Angels.

Santana will get a breather after he went 1-for-5 with three walks over the last two games. Hunter Dozier is shifting to first base while Kyle Isbel draws the start in right field.

Rizzo went 1-for-2 with a solo home run Sunday in a loss to the Blue Jays.

Rizzo was initially given the day off, but he came in to pinch hit for Kyle Higashioka in the eighth inning and lined a solo homer to right field. He received another at-bat in the ninth but grounded out to end the game. Rizzo has gone deep in three of his past four games and is batting .545 (6-for-11) with seven RBI and a stolen base over that stretch.

The Mariners recalled Padlo from Triple-A Tacoma on Monday.

With Seattle needing to reduce its pitching staff to 13 men ahead of Monday's MLB-imposed deadline, Padlo will join the big club as a replacement for reliever Roenis Elias, who was designated for assignment. Padlo will give Seattle a righty-hitting option off the bench, but he may not even receive a look as a short-side platoon player while he's up with the big club.
