Andrew Vaughn 1B | MIL
White Sox's Andrew Vaughn: Homers, drives in four
Vaughn went 2-for-4 with a home run, a double and four RBI Wednesday against the Royals.
Vaughn did the majority of his damage on a three-run homer in the seventh inning, his fourth long ball of the season. Four frames earlier he had recorded an RBI double. Vaughn entered the game with at least one hit in three of his last four games, though this was his first multi-knock effort since April 13. Through 52 plate appearances, Vaughn is hitting .298/.365/.617, and he should be locked into near everyday playing time in the absence of Eloy Jimenez (hamstring).

Ryan Mountcastle 1B | BAL
Orioles' Ryan Mountcastle: Dealing with neck stiffness
Mountcastle was scratched from Wednesday's lineup against the Yankees with neck stiffness but could be available off the bench, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
Mountcastle was originally penciled in at designated hitter, but the neck issue will prevent him from starting Wednesday. The injury doesn't appear to be a serious concern since he may be available off the bench, so the 24-year-old could be back in the lineup within a day or two.

Gabriel Arias SS | CLE
Guardians' Gabriel Arias: Back at Triple-A
Arias has gone 2-for-18 with a home run and a walk in four starts for Triple-A Columbus since returning to the affiliate's lineup Saturday.
Arias was summoned from Triple-A to make his MLB debut last week, with Cleveland designating him as its 29th man for its April 20 doubleheader with the White Sox. He started in both ends of the twin bill, going 1-for-8 with two runs and an RBI.

Anthony Rizzo 1B | NYY
Yankees' Anthony Rizzo: Three homers in win
Rizzo went 3-for-4 with three home runs, a walk, four runs scored and six RBI in a 12-8 win Tuesday over Baltimore.
Rizzo homered off Jordan Lyles in the third and fifth innings and capped off his career night with a long ball off lefty Alexander Wells in the eighth. It was the first three-homer game of his career. The first baseman now leads all of baseball with eight home runs, half of those coming in the last two contests. With a .283/.411/.733 batting line this year, Rizzo is looking more like the player that hit .284/.388/.513 from 2014 to 2019 than the one that hit .240/.343/.432 the last two seasons.

Josh Naylor 1B | SEA
Guardians' Josh Naylor: On bench versus lefty
Naylor is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Angels.
Naylor has started against left-handed pitching twice previously this season but won't due so Tuesday with Patrick Sandoval pitching for the Halos. Oscar Mercado will man right field for Cleveland.

Yuli Gurriel DH | SD
Astros' Yuli Gurriel: Tallies rare stolen base
Gurriel went 2-for-4 with a double, a stolen base and a run scored Monday against the Rangers.
Gurriel helped manufacture offense for Houston in the sixth inning. He reached base with a two-out single and proceeded to steal second base before coming around to score on a Kyle Tucker single. Though Gurriel shouldn't be counted on to provide stolen bases throughout the season, he has started to heat up at the plate, collecting three doubles and three runs scored combined across his last two games.

Kole Calhoun 1B | CLE
Rangers' Kole Calhoun: Remains out of lineup
Calhoun isn't starting Monday's game against the Astros.

Yandy Diaz 1B | TB
Rays' Yandy Diaz: Leaves yard for first time in 2022
Diaz went 1-for-2 with a solo home run, a walk and an additional run in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Red Sox.
Fresh off being reinstated from the COVID-19 injured list, Diaz put the finishing touches on Sunday's win with the seventh-inning long ball off lefty Jake Diekman. The home run was the first of the season for Diaz, who has produced only three extra-base hits through 51 plate appearances.
