  • Carlos Santana 1B | ARI

Indians' Carlos Santana: Drives in three

Santana went 3-for-4 with three RBI in a 6-5 loss to the Yankees on Saturday.

Santana recorded his fifth multi-hit game out of his last seven contests. The 33-year-old singled in each of his first three at-bats, driving in two runs in the first and one more in the fifth. Santana has an excellent .293/.414/.551 slash line with 29 homers and 78 RBI in 434 at-bats.

  • Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero Jr.: Exits early Saturday

Guerrero exited Saturday's game against the Mariners in the top of the third inning with an undisclosed injury, Mike Wilner of Sportsnet 590 The Fan reports.

Brandon Drury replaced him at third base. It is unclear what the reason was for his removal, but it was likely some sort of injury.

  • Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero Jr.: Delivers 14th long ball of 2019

Guerrero went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Friday's win over Seattle.

Guerrero launched a two-run homer in the third inning on a low, inside pitch that seemed closer to his shins than the plate to give his club a 5-2 lead, and Toronto never looked back. The 20-year-old slugger's last home run dated back to Aug. 1, so perhaps Friday night's performance is a sign that he's found his power stroke once again. After crushing six homers in the month of May, he's left the yard just eight times since.

  • Luke Voit 1B | NYM

Yankees' Luke Voit: Nearing rehab assignment

Voit (abdomen) will join Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Monday for workouts and could begin his rehab assignment Thursday, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

Voit has been hitting, fielding grounders and running the bases, so he appears to be in the final stages of his rehab work. The 28-year-old has been sidelined with a sports hernia since July 30 and will likely need a handful of games in the minors to get back up to speed, but a return before the end of August still seems possible.

  • Rowdy Tellez 1B | ATL

Blue Jays' Rowdy Tellez: Out of lineup Friday

Tellez is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Mariners.

Tellez was recalled from Triple-A Buffalo on Tuesday and is expected to receive more playing time than first-base counterpart Justin Smoak, but Tellez is on the bench Friday with lefty Wade LeBlanc set to work as Seattle's primary pitcher. Tellez has a .228/.283/.434 slash line with 13 doubles, 14 home runs and 40 RBI in 79 major-league games this season.

  • LaMonte Wade 1B | CHW

Twins' LaMonte Wade: Starting rehab assignment

Wade (thumb) is scheduled to begin a rehab assignment this weekend, Brandon Warne of ZoneCoverage.com reports.

Wade was supposed to start playing in the Gulf Coast League, but due to rain he'll instead begin the rehab stint with Low-A Cedar Rapids or Double-A Pensacola. The 25-year-old has been out with a dislocated right thumb since early July and figures to require a decent number of games in the minors to get back up to speed.

  • Jose Abreu 1B | HOU

White Sox's Jose Abreu: Homers twice in loss

Abreu went 2-for-4 with a pair of home runs and three RBI in Thursday's 8-7 loss to the White Sox.

Abreu launched a two-run home run in the fourth inning to even the score at 2-2 and extend his hitting streak to six games. He then added a solo shot in the seventh. Overall this season, the 32-year-old is batting .278/.318/.497 and leads the White Sox in home runs (26), RBI (89) and hits (133).

  • Carlos Santana 1B | ARI

Indians' Carlos Santana: Cranks two more homers in win

Santana went 3-for-5 with a pair of home runs, a double, four runs scored, three RBI and a walk in the Indians' 19-5 blowout victory over the Yankees on Thursday.

Santana continued his recent tear at the dish in this contest, cranking two more long balls to five him five in his last five games. He's also driven in 10 runs and scored 11 over that stretch, building on what has already been a superb campaign. The 33-year-old now sports a spectacular .290/.413/.553 slash line to go along with 29 homers and 75 RBI across 518 plate appearances.

  • Matt Olson 1B | ATL

Athletics' Matt Olson: Homers twice in win

Olson went 2-for-4 with a pair of home runs and four RBI in Thursday's 7-6 win over the Astros.

Olson's three-run home run off Aaron Sanchez in the fourth inning marked his fifth three-run homer of the season. The 25-year-old continued to show off his ability to generate power with a solo long ball in the sixth, once again off Sanchez. Olson is now slashing .262/.343/.542 with 25 long balls, 58 RBI and 45 runs scored,

  • Kole Calhoun 1B | CLE

Angels' Kole Calhoun: On bench Thursday

Calhoun is not in the lineup for Thursday's game against the White Sox.

The 31-year-old will get a breather Thursday while riding a five-game hit streak that includes one home run and eight runs. Brian Goodwin will start in right field, leading off.
