Solano is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rangers.

Solano had started four of the last five games, all against right-handers, but he'll head to the bench against Jack Leiter. Though the Mariners have mostly used Solano on the short side of a platoon at first base this season, he's been getting more opportunities lately while slashing a robust .419/.457/.651 over his last 13 contests. Once his bat inevitably cools down, Solano's playing time will taper off, but he could poach starts from a slumping Jorge Polanco (.503 OPS since the beginning of May).

Toro is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Blue Jays, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.

Toro started the first two games of the series and will take a seat Sunday after going 2-for-3 with two walks, a stolen base, two RBI and two runs in Saturday's contest. The 28-year-old was slumping at the plate prior to that performance with a .174/.224/.261 slash line in his previous 14 games. Romy Gonzalez is stepping in at first base.

Sogard will start at second base and bat ninth in Sunday's game against the Blue Jays.

Since being called up from Triple-A Worcester on Friday to cover for Marcelo Mayer (personal), Sogard has started all three games of the series with Toronto. After going 2-for-6 with a double, a walk, an RBI and a run in the first two contests, Sogard will get the nod again at the keystone over David Hamilton. The Red Sox will likely send an infielder back to the minors once Mayer is reinstated, but Sogard could end up sticking around over Hamilton or Nate Eaton, both of whom have minor-league options remaining.

Toro went 2-for-3 with two walks, two RBI, two runs scored and a stolen base in Saturday's 15-1 win over Toronto.

Toro was one of eight members of the starting lineup to record multiple hits and one of five with multiple RBI in a stat-padding day at Fenway Park. The stolen base was his first of the year. He's been scuffling with a .176 batting average over the previous 15 games, but with an unsettled situation at first base and Alex Bregman (quadriceps) and Marcelo Mayer (bereavement) currently unavailable for duty at third base, there's still paths to playing time for Toro despite the offensive downturn.

Gonzalez went 3-for-5 with a double and a two-run home run during Saturday's 15-1 win over Toronto.

Gonzalez tied a season high with three hits for the third time this year and added to the blowout in the seventh inning, when he took Mason Fluharty deep to center field for a 446-foot, two-run home run. Gonzalez got the start at first base Saturday, but his versatility to play at the keystone and the hot corner should allow him to see at least semi-consistent playing time, especially with Kristian Campbell at Triple-A Worcester.

Aranda went 1-for-4 with a walk and a two-run home run in Saturday's 11-3 rout of the Orioles.

The 27-year-old wasted no time getting to Zach Eflin (back), crushing a fastball 467 feet to right field in the first inning. Aranda has gone yard in back-to-back games to reach 10 homers on the season and extend his hitting streak to 13 games, a stretch in which he's batting .385 (20-for-52) with four doubles, two home runs, seven RBI and nine runs.

Pasquantino went 2-for-5 with a home run, a double, five RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's 9-5 win over the Dodgers.

Pasquantino crushed a three-run homer in the fifth inning and later added a two-run double in the seventh. The first baseman is riding a modest six-game hit streak and has hit safely in eight of his last nine games, a stretch that's included four extra-base hits and eight RBI. For the season, he's slashing .283/.333/.422 with 12 home runs, 47 RBI, 33 runs scored and one stolen base across 345 plate appearances.

Kurtz went 1-for-4 with a walk, a three-run home run and a second run scored in Saturday's 7-0 win over the Yankees.

The rookie slugger took Clarke Schmidt deep in the sixth inning to break open a tight 1-0 contest. Kurtz has been crushing the ball since returning from a hip issue earlier in June, and over his last 13 games he's batting .327 (16-for-49) with seven homers and 15 RBI.

Toro went 0-for-4 in Friday's 9-0 loss to Toronto.

Toro was a nice story earlier this month, but the corner infielder has been in a prolonged slump. After Friday's 0-fer, he's batting .138 (4-for-29) with one extra-base hit and zero RBI over the last nine games. He and Romy Gonzalez continue to serve as a band-aid at first base, but with Kristian Campbell getting starts at first base for Triple-A Worcester, a better option could emerge soon.

Schanuel went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run and a double in Friday's 15-9 loss to the Nationals.

Schanuel has tapped into a bit of power lately, going 13-for-49 (.265) with four homers and three doubles over his last 11 games. The first baseman isn't known for his slugging, and it's unclear if he'll be able to sustain his recent success over a longer stretch. For the season, he's at seven homers, 32 RBI, 40 runs scored, three stolen bases, 16 doubles, one triple and a .276/.364/.413 slash line across 78 games.
