Freddie Freeman 1B | LAD
Dodgers' Freddie Freeman: Goes deep Monday
Freeman went 1-for-4 with a solo home run against the Marlins in Monday's 6-3 win.
Though his long ball didn't travel nearly as far, Freeman followed Shohei Ohtani in the first inning Monday as the pair slugged back-to-back homers. Freeman has yet to fully flex his power this season -- he has just three homers through 167 plate appearances -- but he's been otherwise productive, as usual, with a .292/.407/.445 slash line, 21 RBI, 18 runs and a stolen base. The veteran first baseman is also tied for seventh in the league with 10 doubles and tied for fifth with 24 walks.

Bryce Harper DH | PHI
Phillies' Bryce Harper: Slugs another three-run homer
Harper went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run during Monday's 6-1 win over the Giants.
Harper tagged Mason Black for a three-run home run in the sixth inning, marking the first baseman's second straight game with a three-run shot. In his last 11 games, Harper is batting .250 with four homers and has showcased quality plate discipline, drawing 13 walks and striking out 11 times.

Jake Burger 3B | TEX
Marlins' Jake Burger: Back from IL
Burger (oblique) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list prior to Monday's game against the Dodgers, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
As anticipated, Burger is back with the big club after missing the last few weeks rehabbing from a left intercostal strain. He was a big piece of the Marlins' offense before landing on the IL, recording three homers, 15 RBI and eight runs scored over his first 16 games of the 2024 season.

Pete Alonso 1B | BAL
Mets' Pete Alonso: Getting first day off
Alonso is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Cardinals, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.
He'll take a seat for the first time all season after recently falling into a 1-for-28 drought at the plate that has brought his slash line down to .206/.295/.420. DJ Stewart will draw the start at first base Monday, but Alonso should be back in the lineup Tuesday.

Tyler Black 2B | MIL
Brewers' Tyler Black: Filling bench role Monday
Black is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Royals.
After being called up from Triple-A Nashville last Tuesday, Black worked in a reserve role for his MLB debut that day but proceeded to start at first base or designated hitter in each of the Brewers' subsequent four contests. Black went 2-for-15 with seven strikeouts over those four starts, but the Brewers will likely give him some more time to right the ship as an everyday player, at least against right-handed pitching. The lefty-hitting Black will hit the bench against Royals southpaw Cole Ragans on Monday.

Rowdy Tellez 1B | TEX
Pirates' Rowdy Tellez: Sitting against southpaw
Tellez is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Angels.
As he usually does, the lefty-hitting Tellez will retreat to the bench while the opposition brings a lefty (Tyler Anderson) to the hill. Connor Joe will replace Tellez at first base and will bat cleanup.

Jake Burger 3B | TEX
Marlins' Jake Burger: Expected to return Monday
Burger (oblique) joined the Marlins in Los Angeles and is expected to be activated from the 10-day injured list ahead of Monday's series opener versus the Dodgers, Kevin Barral of FishonFirst.com reports.
On the shelf since April 15 with a left intercostal strain, Burger looks to have checked out fine after completing the final phase of his recovery process this past week, when he joined Triple-A Jacksonville for a rehab assignment. He played in three games for Jacksonville, going 3-for-11 with two runs, two walks and one RBI in addition to playing nine innings at first base and 18 innings at third base. Once activated, Burger should immediately settle back in as the Marlins' everyday option at the hot corner, resulting in Vidal Brujan and Emmanuel Rivera losing out on playing time.

Bryce Harper DH | PHI
Phillies' Bryce Harper: Clubs three-run homer in win
Harper went 1-for-4 with a three-run homer in Sunday's 5-4 win over the Giants.
Harper had the big hit of the evening, tagging Logan Webb for a three-run shot to center in the third to put the Phillies up 4-1. It was his first extra-base knock since April 29 and his third long ball since returning from the paternity list April 25. Though he hasn't been hitting a ton lately, Harper has still been a tough out at the plate, as Sunday was the first game he hadn't been walked since April 26. Over his last 10 games, Harper is slashing .219/.444/.531 with seven RBI, seven runs and a 13:10 BB:K in 45 plate appearances.

Donovan Solano 1B | TEX
Padres' Donovan Solano: Contract selected by Friars
The Padres selected Solano's contract from Triple-A El Paso on Sunday.
The 36-year-old joined San Diego on a minor-league deal in mid-April and will join the big club after he posted an .847 OPS in 12 games with El Paso. Solano isn't likely to see significant playing time, especially following the Padres' acquisition of Luis Arraez.

Jake Bauers RF | MIL
Brewers' Jake Bauers: Losing work to Tyler Black
Bauers is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cubs.
The lefty-hitting Bauers is on the bench against a right-handed starting pitcher (Javier Assad) for the second day in a row. With prospect Tyler Black recently getting a call-up from Triple-A Nashville and quickly moving into a regular role, Bauers' time as an everyday player versus right-handed pitching has seemingly come to an end.
