Reds starting pitcher Mat Latos (knee, forearm) and first baseman Joey Votto (quadriceps) have left their rehab assignments with Triple-A Louisville, the Reds' minor-league affiliate posted on Twitter Tuesday. It could be an indication both players are set to come off the disabled list.

Reds first baseman Joey Votto began his minor-league rehab assignment Sunday with Triple-A Louisville.
Votto played the field and singled in the seventh inning. He was lifted for a pinch runner in the seventh, ending his first game back since landing on the disabled list with a knee injury. He finished 1 for 3 with a strikeout. -

Votto is taking part in his first rehab game since he went on the disabled list with a knee injury. It's unclear how many games Votto will need in the minors before he's ready to return.

Joey Votto heading out on rehab assignment
Reds first baseman Joey Votto will head out on a rehab assignment, according to MLB.com.
Votto will travel to meet Triple-A Louisville Saturday, and play in his first rehab game Sunday. He's been out since May 15 due to a knee injury. Votto was hitting .257 over 136 at-bats prior to the issue.
Manager Bryan Price would not say how many games Votto will need before he's ready to return, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer.

Anthony Rizzo walks Cubs off with two-run shot
Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo came up with a couple of big hits for the Cubs, and practically carried them to a 5-3 extra-innings win over the Marlins.
Rizzo drove in four runs, and he did so with two swings. He put the Cubs up 3-0 with a two-run double in the eighth inning, and then ended a stalemate with his two-run homer in the 13th, a walkoff shot to win it.
Rizzo went 2 for 6 in the game, to raise his average to .276. He ranks ninth in the National League with an .894 OPS, and has 12 home runs and 33 RBI in 57 games.

Joey Votto impresses during batting practice Friday
Reds first baseman Joey Votto turned in an impressive performance during batting practice Friday, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer.
While the team has yet to re-evaluate his injury, it's a good sign Votto performed well during part of his workout. Teammates apparently look notice of his batting practice, admiring a long home run to right. Votto has been sidelined with a knee issue, and could be close to a return.

Reds first baseman Joey Votto will go through another full workout Friday, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer.
Votto was able to get through a workout Thursday, and the team will see how he can handle two days of work. He'll be re-evaluated Friday night. Votto is attempting to come back from a knee issue. He hit .257/.410/.449 in 136 at-bats prior to the injury.

Justin Bour, Jacob Realmuto impress in debuts
The Marlins got big performances out of two rookies Thursday against the Rays, as catcher Jacob Realmuto and first baseman Justin Bour combined for four hits in their respective major-league debuts in an 11-6 win.
Realmuto stood out, despite batting eighth in his first game. He drove in three runs with a 2-for-4 game, with one RBI single in the fourth and another in the sixth inning. Bour batted ahead of him and drove in one run of his own, while finishing the game 2 for 5.

Joey Votto gets in some work Thursday
Reds first baseman Joey Votto was able to get through fielding drills Thursday, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer.
Votto also took batting practice. He will get in some work with the major-league club before he's activated. Votto will likely need a short rehab stint in order to shake off the rust after his layoff. The club has not yet announced dates for a possible rehab stint.

Donovan Solano clubs first home run in win Wednesday
Marlins infielder Donovan Solano went 1 for 4 with a three-run home run in his team's 5-4 win over the Rays Wednesday.
Solano's third-inning blast was his first home run of the season and put his team up for good Wednesday. He was making his first start since April 22 after serving as a pinch hitter and defensive replacement all through May. Solano has hit .231/.268/.308 with six RBI in 39 at-bats.
