Tellez is not starting Game 2 of Saturday's doubleheader against the Pirates.

Tellez went 1-for-3 and scored a run in the lopsided loss Saturday afternoon. Jace Peterson will play first base and bat seventh in the nightcap.

Rizzo (illness) is feeling much better and could resume baseball activities Monday, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

Rizzo has been out since Sunday after testing positive for COVID-19. It remains unclear exactly when he'll return, but the Yankees don't believe he'll require much time to build back up to full strength once he's cleared to practice.

Diaz (thumb) will be on the bench for Saturday's game against the Twins, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.

Diaz left Friday's game with a sprained left thumb. His X-rays were negative, but he remains sore, so he'll miss at least one start. Joey Wendle starts at third base in his absence.

Walker is not starting Saturday's game against the Padres.

Walker has gone hitless in each of his last four starts; however, he has drawn four walks in that span. Asdrubal Cabrera is starting at first base Saturday, with Drew Ellis playing third base.

Vaughn will sit Saturday against the Yankees.

Vaughn has been on a roll lately, hitting .338/.427/.538 over his last 20 games. He'll sit Saturday, with Eloy Jimenez starting in left field and Jake Lamb serving as the designated hitter.

Mountcastle (concussion) has made progress in recent days and will begin baseball activities Sunday, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Mountcastle has already missed the required seven days while on the concussion injured list, but he's not quite ready to return. The Orioles appear optimistic that he'll be back soon, though exactly when that will happen remains unclear.

O'Hearn will not be in the lineup for Saturday's game against St. Louis.

O'Hearn hasn't done much to justify regular at-bats this season, hitting a modest .235/.266/.422. Hunter Dozier will be the designated hitter Saturday, with Whit Merrifield starting in right field.

Hoskins (groin) had a cortisone injection Friday and still expects to be activated during next week's series in Arizona, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.

Hoskins has been dealing with a strained groin since late July and was finally placed on the injured list Aug. 10. His exact return date should become clear when the Phillies travel to Arizona for the series starting Tuesday.

Bohm is on the bench for Saturday's game against the Reds.

Make it four of the last five games that Bohm has failed to make the starting lineup, probably due in part to his defensive woes and .200 average with 10 strikeouts in his last 10 contests. Ronald Torreyes is playing third base and batting seventh Saturday.

Tellez (knee) is batting fifth and playing first base in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Pirates.

The 26-year-old was limited the past few days by right knee discomfort, but he's back in action Saturday afternoon. Tellez has gone 8-for-28 with a home run and six RBI since the beginning of August.
