Bour did not make the Giants' Opening Day roster and will head to minor-league camp as expected, Maria Guardado of MLB.com reports.

After spending 2020 in Japan, Bour was not a part of big-league spring training. He'll serve as organizational depth at first base. The 32-year-old shouldn't be expected to see much time in the majors this year.

Santana will start at first base and bat third in Thursday's season opener versus the Rangers.

For now, fantasy managers are probably best off ruling him out for all of April.

Hoskins finished Grapefruit League play with a .205/.295/.333 slash line to go with three extra-base hits (one home run, two doubles) and two stolen bases in 39 at-bats.

Hoskins was cleared for full activities early in spring training after undergoing Tommy John surgery last fall, but he largely struggled to regain the power he had displayed prior to the operation. The 27-year-old should gradually return to form once the surgery is further in the rear-view mirror, but his fantasy managers may want to temper expectations for him in the initial weeks of the season. That said, Hoskins' strong eye at the plate will help prop up his on-base percentage even if his early returns in the slugging department are lean, and his placement in the upper half of the lineup alongside the likes of Bryce Harper, Andrew McCutchen and J.T. Realmuto should present him with plenty of run-scoring and run-producing chances.

White went 5-for-11 with a double, a home run, four RBI, two walks, a stolen base and three runs over his five final Cactus League games.

White put together a couple of distinct hot streaks during the exhibition slate, helping him to an impressive 16 RBI over 19 games. The slugging first baseman's ability to overcome an abysmal start to Cactus League play certainly offers some encouragement, as does the fact that he struck out a modest 10 times across 54 plate appearances after doing so at a 41.6 percent rate as a rookie in 2020.

Rather than playing service-time games with Vaughn by stashing him at the alternate training site for the first few weeks of the season, the White Sox will add the 22-year-old prospect to the roster to ensure it has the best lineup possible heading into Opening Day. With Eloy Jimenez expected to miss most of the season with a pectoral injury, Vaughn has been given more work in left field late in spring training, despite the fact that he's spent the entirety of his professional career at first base. If the White Sox aren't comfortable using Vaughn in the outfield on an everyday basis, he'll still have a path to a regular lineup spot at designated hitter.
