Lowe went 3-for-4 with two home runs, four RBI, three runs and one strikeout in Friday's win against the Red Sox.

Lowe had struggled to generate much production over his first 17 plate appearances this year, but he was dominant as the designated hitter Friday. He hit home runs in the sixth and seventh innings to provide the Rays with insurance in the 11-1 win. Despite his strong performance Friday, he should continue to serve in a depth role unless he can perform well on a more consistent basis.

Voit went 3-for-4 with two home runs and six RBI during a 10-1 win over the Orioles in the second game of Friday's doubleheader.

The Yanks were already winning 4-1 when Voit got to work, crushing a pair of three-run shots off Asher Wojciechowski in the fourth and fifth innings. With the performance, the 29-year-old moved back into a tie with Mike Trout for the major-league homer lead at 16, and Voit's .285/.353/.629 slash line through 41 games comes with 36 RBI -- putting him in the top 10 in the majors in that category as well -- and 32 runs.

Votto went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk in Friday's 3-1 win over the Cardinals.

Votto put the Reds on the board with a big blast to right field off Cardinals starter Adam Wainwright in the first inning. It was Votto's first homer in nine games, and his seventh of the year. The first baseman has slashed .219/.335/.409 with 14 RBI and 22 runs scored in 39 contests this season.

Beaty was optioned to the alternate training site Friday, Jorge Castillo of the Los Angeles Times reports.

The 27-year-old earned a spot on the Opening Day roster and has a .638 OPS with two homers in 54 plate appearances. Beaty will head to the alternate site to stay fresh in hopes of rejoining the Dodgers for the final stretch of the season.

Freeman went 2-for-4 with two two-run home runs in Thursday's 7-6 win over the Nationals.

After tallying a homer and six RBI in Wednesday's blowout win over Miami, Freeman picked up right where he left off Thursday. The first baseman's pair of two run-shots brought him to 10 long balls and a major-league leading 42 RBI on the campaign. The 30-year-old is hitting at a robust .333/.450/.635 clip.

Diaz continues to feel soreness in his right hamstring, but there remains hope he'll be available to return before the end of the regular season, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.

Diaz remains without an official timetable for his return, and the goal of having him back on the field before the start of the postseason seems a bit optimistic. Manager Kevin Cash did allude to the fact Diaz's issue has a certain degree of severity, remarking Thursday "there was a significant sign in there [of a serious strain] when he got checked out by the doctors."

Olson went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer and a walk in Thursday's 3-1 win over the Astros.

Jose Urquidy kept Oakland's offense quiet through five innings, but Olson was able to take the right-hander deep for a two-run shot to give the A's a 2-1 lead in the sixth. It marked the first baseman's 12th long ball on the campaign. Despite hitting just .194 so far, Olson has been able to reach base at a .320 clip while providing plenty of power in the middle of the Athletics' lineup.

Flores went 2-for-4 with a solo home run during Thursday's loss to the Padres.

Flores got the Giants on the board with a solo shot off Chris Paddack in the second inning. It was the 29-year-old's team-leading ninth long ball of the season. He is slashing .296/.341/.546.

Goldschmidt went 1-for-2 with a walk, a solo home run and a second run scored during a 12-2 win over the Tigers in the first game of Thursday's doubleheader.

The blast extended his hitting streak to six games, although Goldschmidt saw it snapped in the nightcap when he went 0-for-3 with a walk. The veteran slugger is slashing .325/.459/.513 through 37 games on the year with five homers and 15 RBI.

Dalbec went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Thursday against the Rays.

Dalbec took Josh Fleming deep in the fifth inning for his sixth home run of the season. He's now homered in five consecutive starts, with the only downside being four have been solo shots. Dalbec has struck out in an alarming 49 percent of his 39 plate appearances to this point, though his .750 slugging percentage is offsetting all those whiffs at the moment.
