Bryce Harper 1B | PHI
Phillies' Bryce Harper: Belts 29th homer
Harper went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 5-1 win over the Brewers.
He took Frankie Montas deep in the sixth inning to break open a 1-1 tie, putting Harper one long ball short of his fifth career 30-homer campaign. The veteran slugger has been heating up with the playoffs looming, and over the last 11 games Harper is slashing .386/.426/.727 with six doubles, three homers, seven runs and eight RBI.

Eric Wagaman 1B | LAA
Angels' Eric Wagaman: Homers again Tuesday
Wagaman went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and two RBI in Tuesday's win over the White Sox.
Wagaman homered for the second straight night and now has five extra-base hits in seven games since being called up from Triple-A Salt Lake. The 27-year-old has started six straight games and has upped his batting average to .292 with at least a hit in four consecutive games.

Triston Casas 1B | BOS
Red Sox's Triston Casas: Cracks first September homer
Casas went 1-for-2 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 8-3 loss to the Rays.
Casas gave Boston an early lead with his ninth home run of the season in the second inning. It was the first homer in 59 at-bats for Casas, who last went deep Aug. 25, when he was Boston's regular cleanup hitter. These days, Casas is batting down in the order -- sixth, seventh or eighth over the last 11 contests -- and he routinely sits against left-handers.

Vladimir Guerrero 1B | TOR
Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero: Rips three hits in loss
Guerrero went 3-for-5 with a double, one RBI and two runs scored in Tuesday's 13-8 loss to the Rangers.
Guerrero has hit safely in nine of his 12 games in September, but this was just his second multi-hit effort of the month. He had seven such games over the last 11 contests of August. The first baseman is slashing .322/.397/.545 with 28 home runs, 97 RBI, 94 runs scored and two stolen bases over 148 games this season, and he still has time to chase down his third 30-homer campaign.

Christian Walker 1B | ARI
Diamondbacks' Christian Walker: Clubs homer in loss
Walker went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 8-2 loss to the Rockies.
Walker's eighth-inning blast cut the deficit to four runs before the Rockies fired back with two more runs of their own. The first baseman has gone 11-for-38 (.289) with three homers and eight RBI over 12 contests since he returned from an oblique injury. It's shaping up to be a strong end of the year for the 33-year-old, who is slashing .257/.344/.487 with 26 homers, 79 RBI, 66 runs scored, 23 doubles and two stolen bases over 119 contests.

Paul Goldschmidt 1B | STL
Cardinals' Paul Goldschmidt: Reaches 10 steals
Goldschmidt went 0-for-2 with a walk and a stolen base in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Pirates.
Goldschmidt was held hitless for his fourth game in a row, but he was able to draw a walk for the fourth time in eight contests. The first baseman's steal was his 10th of the year -- he's reached double digits in three of the last four seasons and a total of eight times in his 14-year career. Goldschmidt has added a mediocre .244/.303/.410 slash line with 21 home runs, 59 RBI and 63 runs scored through 144 contests in what's been the worst season of his career by many metrics.

Pete Alonso 1B | NYM
Mets' Pete Alonso: Homers, plates five in win
Alonso went 3-for-5 with a three-run home run, a two-run single, a double and an additional run scored in Tuesday's 10-1 victory over Washington.
The Mets first baseman entered this game on a cold spell, hitting just .213 (10-for-47) in 14 September games, and left having doubled his RBI total on the month. Alonso drove in his first pair of runs with single in third inning before adding a three-run homer to his ledger in the eighth. Perhaps this performance will bust the free-agent-to-be out of his September swoon. Alonso is now slashing .244/.330/.472 with 33 homers, 31 doubles, 86 RBI and 87 runs scored across 649 plate appearances this season.

Padres' Luis Arraez: Back in action Tuesday
Arraez (lower body) is back in the lineup for Tuesday's game versus the Astros.
Arraez departed Monday's series opener after suffering the injury on a play at the plate during the fifth inning, but he won't end up missing additional time. The 27-year-old went 2-for-4 with a double and a strikeout prior to exiting the contest, which ended a 30-game streak without being punched out.

Jonathan Singleton 1B | HOU
Astros' Jon Singleton: Back in action
Singleton (illness) is starting at first base and batting sixth Tuesday in San Diego, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Ryan Mountcastle 1B | BAL
Orioles' Ryan Mountcastle: Nearing rehab assignment
Orioles general manager Mike Elias said Tuesday that Mountcastle (wrist) is expected to begin a rehab assignment by the end of the week and could return from the 10-day injured list before the end of the regular season, Jacob Calvin Meyer of The Baltimore Sun reports.
The 27-year-old has been sidelined since Aug. 22 due to a sprained left wrist, but he's on the cusp of returning to game action. The Orioles begin their final road trip of the regular season next Tuesday against the Yankees, and Mountcastle should rejoin the big club at some point during that six-game stretch after getting some at-bats in the minors.
