The Reds acquired France and cash considerations from the Mariners on Monday in exchange for catcher Andruw Salcedo.

France had been designated for assignment by Seattle after managing a .662 OPS through 88 games. However, he's landed in about as good of a situation as possible, with hitter-friendly Great American Ball Park representing his new home park and regular at-bats seemingly available for the taking. France is under team control for 2025, but even if he finishes the 2024 campaign on a high note, he'll be a non-tender candidate this offseason.

Tellez (back) entered Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks as a pinch hitter and went 1-for-1 with a double.

Tellez was out of the lineup Sunday with a back issue, so it was a positive sign that he was able to enter the game in the ninth inning. He should still be considered day-to-day, but Tellez will have the chance to return to the lineup Monday against the Astros.

Alonso went 2-for-4 with a double and a two-run home run in Sunday's loss to Atlanta.

His eighth-inning shot off Jimmy Herget ended a combined shutout bid for the Atlanta staff, but it was the only offense the Mets could muster. Alonso is up to 21 homers on the season, but he's struggling to supply consistent production -- through 24 games in July he's slashing just .239/.300/.424 with nine RBI.

Bauers went 2-for-3 with a two-run homer, a triple, a walk and two runs scored in Sunday's win over Miami.

Bauers put the Brewers on top early with a two-run shot in the first inning. He later tripled and scored in the fifth. Bauers snapped a 16-game homerless drought with his first long ball since June 26, which was also his last extra-base hit. He's now slashing .226/.333/.412 with 19 extra-base hits and 35 RBI through 76 games.

Guerrero went 1-for-3 with a home run and two RBI on Sunday against the Rangers.

Guerrero's blast with one out in the third was his 19th of the season and sixth over the last 10 games, a stretch during which he's collected at least one hit in each contest. Guerrero, who added an RBI sacrifice fly in the first, is batting .472 over his 10-game hitting streak with six homers, three doubles, 10 RBI and 12 runs scored.

Toglia went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Giants.

Toglia has two homers over his last three games after going seven contests without a long ball following his three-homer game July 14. The 25-year-old continues to be an excellent power source with 18 homers and a .512 slugging percentage over 61 contests this season. He's added 39 RBI, 34 runs scored and four stolen bases, but he's hitting just .215 and striking out at a 32.3 percent rate, which puts a cap on his upside.

Mountcastle went 2-for-5 with four RBI and one run scored in Sunday's win against San Diego.

Interestingly, Mountcastle did not log an extra-base hit, instead plating four runners on a pair of two-run singles. The 27-year-old hasn't homered since July 6, but he has been productive for fantasy managers as part of a potent Orioles offense. The first baseman owns a .270 average with 12 home runs, 50 RBI and 46 runs scored in 96 games played this season.

Goldschmidt went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 4-3 win over the Nationals.

Goldschmidt homered off Dylan Floro in the ninth inning to give the Cardinals a walk-off win. This was Goldschmidt's second homer in three games during the weekend series versus Washington. The first baseman is up to 16 long balls this year, five of which he's hit over 21 contests in July. For the season, he's slashing .230/.288/.388 with 41 RBI, 50 runs scored, six stolen bases and 16 doubles over 101 games.

Olsen went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run Sunday against the Mets.

Olson's fourth-inning blast was his 15th of the season and plated three. After going nearly three weeks without a homer, Olson went deep Sunday for the second consecutive day. He now holds a modest five-game hitting streak, batting 7-for-20 (.350) during that stretch.

Smith will sit Sunday against the Yankees, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.

Smith will head to the bench with left-hander Carlos Rodon on the mound. Romy Gonzalez will take over at first base and bat sixth versus New York.
