Yandy Diaz 1B | TB
Rays' Yandy Diaz: Productive weekend series
Diaz went 1-for-4 with a double and an RBI on Sunday against the Orioles.
Diaz had a strong weekend series thanks to some timely hits. Across the three games, he went just 3-for-11 but drove in four runs and also worked two free passes. Diaz has gone just 7-for-44 across his last 13 starts, though he's striking out at only a 10.6 percent clip in that span, meaning his numbers should start to tick back up.

Pirates' Rowdy Tellez: Snaps out of slump
Tellez went 3-for-4 with a two-RBI double and two RBI singles during Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Blue Jays.
Tellez hadn't logged an RBI since May 5 and had driven in three batters since April 4. He bested that total just on Sunday, plating all four of the Pirates' runs and reaching safely in four of his five plate appearances. Prior to Sunday's contest, Tellez had generated four hits in 40 at-bats with one walk.

Spencer Torkelson 1B | DET
Tigers' Spencer Torkelson: Heading to Triple-A
The Tigers are expected to option Torkelson to Triple-A Toledo on Monday, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Torkelson was held out of the lineup for two of the Tigers' last three games after struggling to a .201/.266/.330 slash line with four home runs, 18 RBI and 24 runs scored over 229 plate appearances in 54 games this season. The first baseman will look to hit the reset button with Toledo before potentially returning to Detroit's major-league roster down the road. In the meantime, Justyn-Henry Malloy is set to be called up from Triple-A to replace Torkelson on the 26-man active roster.

Freddie Freeman 1B | LAD
Dodgers' Freddie Freeman: Homer, steal in win
Freeman went 1-for-1 with a solo home run, three walks, two RBI, one stolen base and two runs scored in Sunday's 4-0 win over the Rockies.
Freeman went yard in the first inning and added a sacrifice fly in the eighth. The three walks he drew Sunday matched his total of free passes from his previous 13 games. Freeman's at a 13.4 percent walk rate on the year to go along with an equally impressive 16.0 percent strikeout rate. The first baseman has a .293/.399/.477 slash line with seven homers, 35 RBI, 35 runs scored, two steals, 16 doubles and two triples over 61 contests. While his numbers are down pretty much across the board, Freeman remains one of the most consistent hitters in baseball in the heart of a powerful lineup.

Trenton Brooks DH | SD
Giants' Trenton Brooks: Taking seat against lefty
Brooks is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Yankees.
Though he'll take a seat while southpaw Nestor Cortes takes the hill for the Yankees, the lefty-hitting Brooks appears to have settled into the strong side of a platoon at first base with the right-handed-hitting Wilmer Flores. Brooks has started in the Giants' last three matchups against righties and has gone 1-for-6 with two walks and two runs in four games overall since he was called up from Triple-A Sacramento on Tuesday following LaMonte Wade's (hamstring) placement on the injured list.

White Sox's Andrew Vaughn: Out Sunday with finger injury
Vaughn (finger) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Brewers.
Vaughn will be on the bench for a third game in a row with a sprained left ring finger. Gavin Sheets will fill in at first base for Vaughn on Sunday.

Rockies' Elehuris Montero: Taking seat Sunday
Montero is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Dodgers, Luke Zahlmann of The Denver Gazette reports.

Michael Busch 3B | CHC
Cubs' Michael Busch: On bench versus lefty
Busch is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Reds.
It's the third straight game on the bench for the 26-year-old, and this time it comes as lefty Nick Lodolo takes the mound for the Reds. Busch had a hot start to the campaign with a 1.062 OPS in his first 19 contests, but he has a .186/.292/.314 slash line and 38.3 percent strikeout rate in his past 35 games. Patrick Wisdom will start at first base Sunday for the Cubs.
