Walker went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Friday's 10-9 loss to the Mets.

Walker hit the second of a back-to-back home runs in the ninth inning -- he followed Joc Pederson's three-run blast -- but they weren't enough to erase Arizona's five-run deficit. The home run was Walker's team-leading 11th to go along with a team-high 34 RBI. He's hit safely in eight of nine games, going 11-for-35 with six extra-base hits (three homers), four RBI and six runs scored.

France went 3-for-3 with a solo home run, a two-run double and a walk in Friday's 5-4 win over the Angels.

France ended up a triple shy of the cycle, but he hasn't legged out a three-bagger since 2022. The infielder went 14-for-39 (.359) with three homers and nine RBI over his last 12 games in May, making him one of the Mariners' hotter hitters. For the year, France has a .260/.325/.411 slash line, seven homers, 24 RBI, 18 runs scored and eight doubles over 55 contests while seeing a starting role at first base.

Arraez went 4-for-5 with two RBI and three runs scored in Friday's victory over Kansas City.

Arraez was ever himself, lacing four singles for his fourth four-hit night with San Diego since joining the team May 4. Overall, it is the 27-year-old's fifth four-hit game of the season, as he had one in Miami too. He also managed to collect his ninth and 10th RBI as a Padre with a two-run RBI knock in the eighth inning. Arraez sports a .342/.380/.413 slash line in 256 total plate appearances with 35 runs and 15 RBI.

Schanuel was scratched from the Angels' lineup ahead of Friday's game against the Mariners due to left thumb soreness.

Schanuel was originally set to start at first base and bat in the leadoff spot Friday, but thumb problems will prevent him from doing so. Willie Calhoun will cover first base in Schanuel's place, moving Matt Thaiss into the DH spot while batting seventh.

Brooks is starting at first base and batting ninth in Friday's series opener against the Yankees.

Brooks will make his second major-league start since being selected from Triple-A Sacramento on Tuesday. He's gone 0-for-3 across his two outings with the Giants, and he'll look for his first hit in the majors Friday against Yankees right-hander Marcus Stroman.

Hoskins will serve as the designated hitter and bat sixth in Friday's game against the White Sox.

Hoskins has been out since May 13 due to a right hamstring strain, and he'll jump back into the lineup after being activated off the injured list Friday. He'll face off against White Sox right-hander Erick Fedde.

The Brewers optioned Miller to Triple-A Nashville on Friday.

Miller was recalled from Nashville earlier in May to provide depth as Rhys Hoskins (hamstring) headed to the injured list. Now that Hoskins is back, Miller will be pushed back to Triple-A. The 27-year-old infielder has slashed .185/.185/.222 across 27 big-league plate appearances this season, but he figures to be on the shortlist for a return to Milwaukee should the Brewers run into more depth issues.

The Brewers reinstated Hoskins (hamstring) from the injured list Friday.

Hoskins has been on the injured list since he strained his right hamstring during a game against Pittsburgh on May 13. He was originally expected to come off the IL during Milwaukee's upcoming road series in Philadelphia, but the slugging first baseman will instead return a few days early without playing in any rehab games. Hoskins should immediately return to a near-everyday role for the Brewers, though he may see more action as a DH as he gets his hamstring used to playing in games again. Owen Miller was optioned to Triple-A Nashville in a corresponding move.

Vaughn is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Brewers.

Vaughn will get a day off Friday after appearing in seven straight contests for the White Sox. Instead, Gavin Sheets will play first base and bat cleanup.

Torkelson is out of the lineup for Friday's game against Boston.

Torkelson will take a day to clear his head after getting three hits in his last 20 at-bats. The 24-year-old first baseman will cede duties to Gio Urshela, who will bat seventh and get his inaugural start at first base this year.
