Ryan Mountcastle 1B | BAL
Orioles' Ryan Mountcastle: Bows out of starting nine
Mountcastle is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Yankees.
Mountcastle will head to the bench for the series finale after he started each of the last five games while going 5-for-15 with a pair of solo home runs, three walks and two additional runs. With Mountcastle taking a seat, Adley Rutschman will get a day off behind the plate and serve as the Orioles' designated hitter.

Matt Olson 1B | ATL
Braves' Matt Olson: Homers twice in win
Olson went 2-for-4 with two homers and five RBI in Sunday's 8-6 win over the Brewers.
Olson gave Atlanta a 5-3 lead in the third inning with a three-run homer off Colin Rea before putting his team ahead 8-6 with a two-run, 431-foot blast in the eighth. Olson is now 7-for-19 (.368) with three long balls over his last five games. He's up to 35 homers on the season, four shy of Shohei Ohtani for the league lead. The 29-year-old Olson is now slashing .259/.361/.584 with a league-leading 88 RBI and 79 runs scored across 460 plate appearances this season.

LaMonte Wade 1B | CHW
Giants' LaMonte Wade: Still sitting Sunday
Wade (back) is not in the lineup for Sunday's game versus the Red Sox, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
The 29-year-old will sit for the third straight game due to back tightness, though he may have been on the bench regardless with lefty Brennan Bernardino starting for Boston, but it's worth noting that Bernardino is only serving as an opener. It's unclear if Wade will be available off the bench, and he should continue to be considered day-to-day.

Triston Casas 1B | BOS
Red Sox's Triston Casas: Gets day off
Casas is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants.
The Giants are using a left-hander (Scott Alexander) as their opening pitcher, and while the lefty-hitting Casas will bow out of the lineup to begin game, it wouldn't be surprising if Casas came off the bench once right-handed primary pitcher Ross Stripling is summoned from the San Francisco bullpen. Though he went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts in Saturday's 3-2 loss, Casas had been on fire beforehand, slashing .455/.547/1.045 over the prior 14 games.

Gabriel Arias SS | CLE
Guardians' Gabriel Arias: Emerges as primary shortstop
Arias will start at shortstop and bat eighth in Sunday's game against the White Sox, Andre Knott of Bally Sports Ohio reports.
In the wake of Amed Rosario getting dealt to the Dodgers on Wednesday, Arias has seemingly stepped in as the Guardians' preferred option at shortstop. He's now started in four of the five games since the Rosario trade, with Tyler Freeman getting the nod at shortstop in the other contest. Arias has gone 4-for-10 with a double, a walk and a stolen base over his prior three starts and should continue to sit atop the depth chart while he's turning in productive at-bats.

Alex Kirilloff LF | MIN
Twins' Alex Kirilloff: Hits IL with shoulder injury
The Twins placed Kirilloff on the 10-day injured list Sunday with a right shoulder strain.
According to Audra Martin of Bally Sports North, Kirilloff had been bothered by the shoulder for the past week and even sat out Wednesday's 8-7 loss to the Mariners because of the issue. After a team off day Thursday, Kirilloff returned to the lineup for the first two games of the Twins' series in Kansas City, but he didn't come out of Saturday's 10-7 loss feeling well and will now be deactivated as a result, per Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com. Manager Rocco Baldelli is optimistic that Kirilloff will avoid a long-term absence, but with a little over two months left in the regular season, fantasy managers in redraft leagues may be best off cutting ties with the 25-year-old in favor of a healthier option on the waiver wire. While Kirilloff is on the shelf, the Twins will likely turn to Donovan Solano and Joey Gallo to pick up most of the starts at first base.

Triston Casas 1B | BOS
Red Sox's Triston Casas: Moved to cleanup
Casas batted fourth and went 0-for-4 in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Giants.
The ridiculously hot Casas, who had a six-game hitting streak snapped in the loss, batted cleanup for the third time this season and the first time since consecutive games in April. The first baseman hit four home runs during his six-game streak. Prior to Saturday, Casas led MLB in on-base percentage (.568), slugging percentage (1.139) and OPS (1.707), was tied for the lead in homers (seven) and second in batting average (.472) since the All-Star break.

Kevin Padlo 1B | LAD
Angels' Kevin Padlo: Gets call back to majors
The Angels selected Padlo's contract from Triple-A Salt Lake on Sunday.
Padlo is back with the Angels for the second time this season after he was previously with the big club for a five-day stretch in June before being designated for assignment and outrighted off the 40-man roster. He'll be joining the Halos this time around as a replacement on the active roster for outfielder Taylor Ward (face), who was placed on the 10-day injured list. Padlo is likely to serve as a depth option at either corner-infield spot while rookie Trey Cabbage picks up more work in the outfield in the wake of Ward's move to the IL.

Andrew Vaughn 1B | MIL
White Sox's Andrew Vaughn: Ends homerless streak
Vaughn went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk Saturday against the Guardians.
Vaughn managed to clear the fences for the first time in 21 games when he took Logan Allen deep in the sixth inning. He still found ways to be productive in that span, tallying five extra-base hits, seven runs scored and 11 RBI. Vaughn had surprisingly sat both Thursday and Friday in favor of Yasmani Grandal and Gavin Sheets, so his playing time will be worth monitoring in the short term.

Wilmer Flores 1B | SF
Giants' Wilmer Flores: Racks up three hits
Flores went 3-for-5 with a double and an RBI in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Red Sox.
Flores has knocked an extra-base hit in four of his last six games. He's put together a strong July, going 28-for-71 (.394) over 21 contests with five home runs and nine RBI. While he's not an everyday player, Flores continues to provide steady cover around the infield for the Giants. He's up to a .297/.357/.534 slash line with 13 homers, 33 RBI, 32 runs scored and 16 doubles through 76 games.
