  • Padres' Jake Cronenworth: Two doubles, homer in win

Cronenworth went 3-for-4 with two doubles, a home run and three RBI during Tuesday's 8-5 win against the Angels.

The 29-year-old found plenty of success versus Shohei Ohtani, including his eighth home run of the season. Cronenworth struggled to a .557 OPS in June, but he's gone 8-for-20 with three doubles, a home run, seven RBI and three runs over his past six games.

  • Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero: Clubs go-ahead homer

Guerrero went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and an additional run scored in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the White Sox.

Guerrero restored the Blue Jays' lead with an eighth-inning blast for the final runs of the game. He's gone 11-for-37 (.297) with four homers and 12 RBI over his last 10 games. The first baseman has just 13 homers and a .455 slugging percentage in what's been a down power year, but he's batting a steady .277 with 54 RBI, 39 runs scored, four stolen bases and 18 doubles through 83 contests. Guerrero's recent play suggests his power may be coming around again.

  • Garrett Cooper 1B | ATL

Marlins' Garrett Cooper: Homers in win

Cooper went 3-for-5 with a home run and three RBI in Tuesday's 15-2 victory over the Cardinals.

Cooper extended Miami's lead to 4-0 with a solo homer off Adam Wainwright in the third inning, his 11th of the year, before driving in two more runs with a base hit in the seventh. The 32-year-old first baseman has swung the bat well recently, going 20-for-58 (.325) with a .958 OPS over his last 15 contests. Overall, Cooper's slashing .255/.300/.436 with 39 RBI and 22 runs scored through 260 plate appearances this season.

  • Josh Naylor 1B | SEA

Guardians' Josh Naylor: Absent from Tuesday's lineup

Naylor (wrist) is not in the lineup for Tuesday's contest versus Atlanta.

Naylor injured his right wrist during Monday's loss to Atlanta. The results of the imaging on the wrist have not been revealed, but the first baseman will need at least one day of rest. Josh Bell will be at first base Tuesday, with Jose Ramirez occupying the designated hitter spot and Tyler Freeman handling third base.

  • Ty France 1B | SD

Mariners' Ty France: Scratched from Tuesday's lineup

France was scratched from the Mariners' lineup Tuesday, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

France didn't play Monday after getting banged up on a collision with the Rays' Isaac Paredes on Sunday. The Mariners had contended that he was fine, but while it's not clear exactly what injury he's dealing with, he's evidently still sore. Jarred Kelenic has replaced France in the lineup and Mike Ford will move to first base.

  • Matthew Batten 3B | ATL

Padres' Matthew Batten: Recalled from El Paso

San Diego recalled Batten from Triple-A El Paso on Tuesday.

Batten is 28 years old and has appeared in only 15 major-league games, but he can play all around the diamond defensively while offering good speed off the bench.

  • Spencer Steer 1B | CIN

Reds' Spencer Steer: Tallies four hits in win

Steer went 4-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored in Tuesday's 8-4 victory over the Nationals.

Steer has been a force in Cincinnati of late, going 16-for-36 (.444) with four home runs in his last 10 games. He's now slashing .292./381/.505 with 14 homers, 51 RBI, 44 runs scored and nine steals through 354 plate appearances in his first full MLB season. Steer's shifted from first base to left field with Joey Votto returning to the Reds' lineup, but it's clearly not impacted his production at the plate. The 25-year-old Steer looks to be a legitimate multi-category fantasy producer.

  • Padres' Jake Cronenworth: Knocks in three runs Monday

Cronenworth went 2-for-3 with three RBI in a 10-3 win against the Angels on Monday.

Cronenworth notched an RBI single in the fourth inning, a sacrifice fly in the sixth and another RBI single in the seventh. His three RBI were as many as he had tallied over his previous 18 contests combined. The infielder slashed just .214/.271/.286 over 26 games in June, but he's started July on a better foot, going 3-for-8 with four RBI through three contests.

  • Joey Votto 1B | TOR

Reds' Joey Votto: Taking seat Tuesday

Votto is not in the lineup for Tuesday's contest versus the Nationals.

Votto broke a string of six games without a hit when he homered in Monday's win over the Nats, but he'll take a seat on Independence Day. Kevin Newman is playing first base and leading off.

  • Nick Pratto 1B | TEX

Royals' Nick Pratto: Goes deep Monday

Pratto went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and an additional RBI against Minnesota in Monday's loss.

Pratto tied the scored twice in the contest, notching an RBI single in the third inning and launching a solo shot to right field in the eighth. The first baseman batted out of the No. 3 hole in the order following a pair of games during which he hit cleanup. Pratto served as Kansas City's leadoff hitter for much of June, so he could see more opportunities to drive in runs if his move to the middle of the order remains in place. He's been only moderately productive on the season, slashing .261/.349/.415 with six homers, 26 RBI, 27 runs and one stolen base over 238 plate appearances.
