Santana went 3-for-5 with an RBI single, a solo home run and an additional run scored in Tuesday's win over San Diego.
Santana put the Pirates ahead 4-3 with a home run off Reiss Knehr to lead off the third inning, his seventh of the season. Santana would drive in a second run with an RBI single in the sixth. It's the first multi-hit game since June 17 for the veteran first baseman -- he'd gone 4-for-27 (.148) over his previous seven contests. Overall, Santana is slashing .233/.316/.380 with 39 RBI, 32 runs scored and six stolen bases through 294 plate appearances this season.

Lowe went 2-for-3 with two walks, an RBI and two runs in Tuesday's 8-3 win versus the Tigers.
The 27-year-old hasn't hit a homer since June 13 but extended his on-base streak to 13 games Tuesday, and he's batting .362 with a 13:9 BB:K during that span. Lowe earned his first Silver Slugger last year with an .850 OPS, and he's pushing for his first All-Star nod this season with a .280/.374/.433 slash line, 21 doubles, eight home runs, 42 RBI and 52 runs in 356 plate appearances.

Spencer Torkelson 1B | DET
Tigers' Spencer Torkelson: Pops ninth home run
Torkelson went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 8-3 loss to the Rangers.
Torkelson had the only extra-base hit for the Tigers, delivering his ninth long ball of the season in the eighth inning. The 23-year-old has now surpassed his home run total from his 2022 rookie campaign in 33 fewer games, which is a promising sign for his power development. He's still struggling to make consistent contact, however, with a .218 batting average.

Wilmer Flores 1B | SF
Giants' Wilmer Flores: Back from IL
The Giants reinstated Flores (foot) from the 10-day injured list Tuesday, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
San Francisco sent infielder Isan Diaz back to Triple-A Sacramento to clear room on the 26-man active roster for Flores, who spent the minimum amount of time on the shelf due to the left foot contusion. Now that he's healthy again, Flores should step back into a short-side platoon role in the Giants infield.

Jared Young 1B | NYM
Cubs' Jared Young: Selected from Iowa
The Cubs selected Young from Triple-A Iowa on Tuesday, Paul Sullivan of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Young has been outstanding in Triple-A this season, slashing .333/.431/.619 with 13 homers and 45 RBI through 205 plate appearances. He's recorded a hit in all but three of his games since the start of June and will now look to carry his momentum into the majors. With the Cubs searching for answers at first base, it's possible Young sees a good amount of playing time early on.

Brewers' Rowdy Tellez: Sitting versus lefty
Tellez isn't in the Brewers' lineup Tuesday against the Mets.
Tellez has been in a major slump lately, slashing just .167/.207/.231 since the beginning of June. He'll retreat to the bench against lefty David Peterson, shifting Owen Miller to first base, Luis Urias to second, Brian Anderson to third and opening a spot for Blake Perkins to start in right field while batting leadoff.

Padres' Jake Cronenworth: Sitting Tuesday
Cronenworth isn't in the Padres' lineup Tuesday versus Pittsburgh.
Cronenworth is slashing just .188/.245/.229 over the past 14 days, so he'll get a rare day off Tuesday to regroup. Brandon Dixon will take Cronenworth's place at first base and bat eighth.

O'Hearn is out of the lineup again Tuesday versus the Reds.
