Vinnie Pasquantino 1B | KC
Royals' Vinnie Pasquantino: Slugs another homer
Pasquantino went 3-for-4 with a solo home run, a double, two RBI and two runs scored in Sunday's 4-0 win over the Dodgers.
Pasquantino factored in on three of the Royals' scoring plays as they avoided a sweep. His eighth-inning homer was his fourth in his last six games, and his seventh of the campaign. The first baseman has added 12 RBI, 16 runs scored and six doubles while slashing .260/.341/.440 through 170 plate appearances. He appears to have a near-everyday role between first base and designated hitter, and considering he slugged .574 through 242 games in the minors in his career, the power shouldn't come as much of a surprise.

Josh Naylor 1B | SEA
Guardians' Josh Naylor: Breather in Game 1
Naylor is not in the starting lineup for Game 1 of Monday's doubleheader with the Tigers.
Naylor will get a day off after he went 5-for-13 with a solo homer, a double and three RBI over the three-game series with the Blue Jays. Owen Miller will take over at first base and bat sixth in Game 1.

Rowdy Tellez 1B | ATL
Brewers' Rowdy Tellez: Hits solo home run
Tellez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's loss to the Cardinals.
Tellez launched a ninth-inning solo homer, but it was too little, too late with the Brewers down 6-2. It was his fourth home run this month and his 24th of the year. Although he has picked up nine hits this month, Tellez's batting average has only improved one point to .237 since the start of August thanks in part to his eight strikeouts.

Nate Lowe 1B | CIN
Rangers' Nathaniel Lowe: Pads lead in win
Lowe went 2-for-3 with a walk, a double, an RBI, a run scored and a stolen base in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Mariners.
One batter after Adolis Garcia knocked in the go-ahead run with two out in the seventh inning, Lowe gave Texas a cushion by doubling him in. The first baseman is more aggressive in 2022, increasing his swing and first-pitch swing percentage. That's resulted in fewer walks but higher average, slugging and OPS. Lowe's been swinging a strong bat since the break, slashing .348/.394/.576 with 12 extra-base hits, 11 RBI and 10 runs scored over the last 24 games.

Freddie Freeman 1B | LAD
Dodgers' Freddie Freeman: Steals 10th base
Freeman went 0-for-4 with a stolen base in a 4-0 loss Sunday in Kansas City.
Freeman reached on an error and stole second base in the eighth inning. It was his 10th steal in 12 tries this season, tying his career high for stolen bases in a season. Since the beginning of July, he's posted a .352/.422/.570 line with six homers and an 18:16 BB:K in 38 games.

Christian Walker 1B | HOU
Diamondbacks' Christian Walker: Slugs three extra-base hits
Walker went 4-for-5 with a home run, two doubles, a run and four RBI in a 7-4 victory over Colorado on Sunday.
Walker opened the scoring with an RBI double in the first inning, connected on a 460-foot three run home run in the third, singled in the fifth and doubled again in the ninth for his first four-hit game of the season. The outburst comes on the heels of him reaching base four times Tuesday, and the 31-year-old is 10-for-21 with three walks across his last six games. The long ball was Walker's 27th and pulls him into a tie with Anthony Rizzo for eighth most in MLB.

Michael Toglia 1B | COL
Rockies' Michael Toglia: Headed to Albuquerque
Toglia was promoted to Triple-A Albuquerque on Aug. 10.
Toglia spent the entire season with Double-A Hartford, and he managed to maintain a .347 wOBA and 114 wRC+ across 420 plate appearances. He also struck out at a 30.2 percent clip, which will be something to monitor as he continues to progress through the upper levels of the minor leagues and into the majors. After playing exclusively at first base in 2021, Toglia has played a handful of games in right field -- a move that could accelerate his path to Colorado.

Yuli Gurriel DH | SD
Astros' Yuli Gurriel: Takes seat Sunday
Gurriel is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Athletics.
Gurriel is 6-for-12 with a double, an RBI and four runs over the past three games but will head to the bench Sunday. Trey Mancini will step in at first base and bat sixth in the series finale versus Oakland.

Nick Pratto 1B | TEX
Royals' Nick Pratto: Out of Sunday's lineup
Pratto is not in the lineup for Sunday's game versus the Dodgers, Joel Goldberg of Bally Sports Kansas City reports.
Pratto started the last nine games and will receive a day off after posting a .789 OPS with two home runs, four RBI and seven runs during that span. MJ Melendez will work in left field while Brent Rooker serves as the designated hitter in Sunday's series finale.

Ryan Mountcastle 1B | BAL
Orioles' Ryan Mountcastle: Set to sit with hand issue
Mountcastle (hand) isn't expected to be in the lineup Sunday against the Rays due to a left hand injury, Rich Dubroff of BaltimoreBaseball.com reports.
The 24-year-old was struck by a pitch on the left hand during the ninth inning of Saturday's victory and is dealing with some soreness and swelling. It doesn't sound as though the injury is a serious concern, so Mountcastle should be considered day-to-day for the time being.
