Donovan Solano 1B | TEX
Reds' Donovan Solano: Goes yard in win
Solano went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk in Saturday's 7-5 win over the Brewers.
Solano has slumped a bit lately, going 5-for-27 (.185) in his last eight contests. His homer Saturday was his first since July 22, but the Reds' lack of better options has kept the versatile infielder in the lineup. For the season, he's slashing .299/.357/.444 with three homers, 14 RBI, 12 runs scored and eight doubles in 35 contests. Jose Barrero's promotion has pushed Kyle Farmer to third base full time, but it appears Solano will maintain his fair share of playing time as the designated hitter.

Joey Votto 1B | TOR
Reds' Joey Votto: Lifts 11th homer
Votto went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and two walks in Saturday's 7-5 win over the Brewers.
Votto is now 10-for-29 (.345) over his last nine games, hitting safely in eight of them in one of his longest hot stretches of the year. He's collected three of his 11 homers this year in that span. The 38-year-old's surge has lifted his slash line to .224/.341/.406, but all of those would be career-worst marks for a full season. He's added 39 RBI, 30 runs scored, 17 doubles and one triple through 82 contests.

Pete Alonso 1B | BAL
Mets' Pete Alonso: Four hits across twin bill
Alonso went 3-for-8 with two RBI, a run scored and a walk across both games of Saturday's doubleheader versus Atlanta.
Alonso was more involved in the nightcap, going 3-for-4. He's hit safely in seven of his last eight games, going 12-for-32 (.375) in that span to get his season average back up to .283 through 107 contests, its highest point since July 1. The first baseman has added a .910 OPS, 29 home runs, 93 RBI, 63 runs scored, two stolen bases and 20 doubles this year.

Bobby Dalbec 1B | CHW
Red Sox's Bobby Dalbec: Slugs 11th homer
Dalbec went 1-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in Saturday's 5-4 loss to the Royals.
Dalbec has hit safely in three of his four games in August, but the presence of Eric Hosmer on the roster likely means he'll see less playing time down the stretch. This was Dalbec's first homer since he swatted two versus the Guardians on July 27. The corner infielder is up to 11 long balls this season while adding 32 RBI, 32 runs scored, two stolen bases and a mediocre .205/.280/.369 slash line through 300 plate appearances.

Nick Pratto 1B | TEX
Royals' Nick Pratto: Delivers game-winning hit
Pratto went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 5-4 win over the Red Sox.
Pratto walked it off in the ninth inning with a two-out solo shot off Red Sox reliever Garrett Whitlock. After beginning his major-league career with three multi-hit efforts in his first five games, Pratto's cooled off noticeably. Saturday's homer made this just the second time the first baseman has hit safely in consecutive contests this year. He's slashing .196/.313/.393 with two long balls, five RBI, four runs scored, a triple and three doubles through 67 plate appearances. Despite the growing pains, the Royals are likely to give the 23-year-old an extended audition in a lost season for the team.

Anthony Rizzo 1B | NYY
Yankees' Anthony Rizzo: Unlikely to play Sunday
Rizzo (back) is unlikely to play Sunday against the Cardinals, according to Brendan Kuty of The Newark Star-Ledger.
Rizzo did not rule out taking the field Sunday, but when asked if he would play, he responded, "realistically probably not." Rizzo's status will be known for sure when the Yankees release their starting lineup for Sunday's contest.

Rowdy Tellez 1B | ATL
Brewers' Rowdy Tellez: Takes seat Saturday
Tellez is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Reds.
Tellez mashed a homer in the series opener, his 22nd of the season, but he will sit Saturday in favor of Keston Hiura with lefty Nick Lodolo due up for Cincinnati. The 27-year-old Tellez has a .644 OPS against left-handed pitching this season.

Anthony Rizzo 1B | NYY
Yankees' Anthony Rizzo: Remains out
Rizzo (back) remains on the bench Saturday against St. Louis.
Rizzo was scratched from Friday's lineup due to lower-back tightness and evidently needs at least one more day to recover. DJ LeMahieu will handle first base in his absence.
-
Yandy Diaz 1B | TB
Rays' Yandy Diaz: Heads to bench
Diaz will sit Saturday against the Tigers, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Diaz has gone hitless in his last four games but still owns a strong .280/.393/.389 slash line overall. Yu Chang will get the start at third base Saturday.

Elehuris Montero 1B | COL
Rockies' Elehuris Montero: Tallies first career RBI
Montero went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBI and a run scored Friday against the Diamondbacks.
Montero has started each of the last four games, manning a combination of first and third base. He's collected five hits across 14 at-bats in that span -- three of which went for extra bases -- and he managed the first RBI of his career on a two-run single in the sixth inning Friday. Montero has been in the majors sporadically throughout the season and has maintained a .229/.260/.333 line across 50 plate appearances.
