  • Colt Keith 3B | DET

    Tigers' Colt Keith: Sitting Sunday

Keith (knee) is out of the starting lineup for Sunday's series finale against the Brewers.

Keith was removed in the third inning of Saturday's 5-4 loss after colliding with Akil Baddoo in right field. With the Tigers slated for an off day Monday, Keith will have some additional rest before Detroit opens its series with Washington on Tuesday. The 22-year-old second baseman said prior to Sunday's game that he isn't dealing with structural damage to his left knee, and he doesn't expect to need a stint on the injured list, per Jason Beck of MLB.com. With Keith sitting Sunday, Andy Ibanez will start at second base and bat eighth against Brewers right-hander Bryse Wilson.

  • Marcus Semien 2B | NYM

Rangers' Marcus Semien: Scores lone run

Semien went 0-for-3 with a walk and a run scored in Saturday's 3-1 loss to San Francisco.

Semien, who had a seven-game hit streak halted, walked to lead off the bottom of the first inning and scored on a sacrifice fly. He leads the Rangers with 46 runs scored, which ranks tied for ninth in MLB.

  • Luis Rengifo 2B | MIL

Angels' Luis Rengifo: Reaches 15-steal mark

Rengifo went 0-for-4 with a walk and a stolen base in Saturday's 6-1 loss to the Astros.

Rengifo is one of 11 players to reach 15 steals so far this season, though he's also been caught five times. He's gone 0-for-8 over the last two games after opening June with a five-game hitting streak. The infielder is slashing .312/.361/.447 with four home runs, 18 RBI and 24 runs scored over 48 contests as one of the top hitters in the Angels' lineup.

  • Jose Altuve 2B | HOU

Astros' Jose Altuve: Notches steal Saturday

Altuve went 2-for-5 with one RBI, a stolen base and one run scored in Saturday's 6-1 win over the Angels.

Altuve has been steady but not outstanding over his last 15 games, going 17-for-61 (.279) with two steals, four RBI and five runs scored in that span. He hasn't homered since May 20, taking a bit of the wind out of his sails after a strong start to the year in the power department. Overall, the second baseman is slashing .288/.340/.436 with nine homers, nine steals, 22 RBI and 37 runs scored over 64 contests.

  • Adam Frazier 2B | LAA

Royals' Adam Frazier: Homers, scores twice

Frazier went 2-for-2 with a home run, a double and two runs scored in Saturday's win over the Mariners.

The utility player got extra-base hits in both of his at-bats Saturday, homering in the second and then hitting a leadoff double in the fifth. He was later pulled for pinch hitter Hunter Renfroe in the sixth after the Mariners brought in lefty Kirby Snead. It was Frazier's first multi-hit effort since May 25 and just his second homer of the year. He's been stuck in a part-time role for the most part this season and his line of .227/.322/.320 leaves room for improvement.

  • Colt Keith 3B | DET

Tigers' Colt Keith: Dealing with knee soreness

Keith was removed from Saturday's game against Milwaukee with left knee discomfort, Cody Stavenhagen of The Athletic reports.

Keith and Akil Baddoo collided in right field while running at full speed, but Keith took the brunt of it and was removed from the contest during the third inning. Considering Keith was able to walk off the field without any assistance, it seems like he avoided a major injury. Still, the Tigers will likely continue to evaluate him throughout Saturday evening. Detroit will finish its three-game series against the Brewers on Sunday ahead of a team off day.

  • Kyren Paris SS | LAA

Angels' Kyren Paris: Sent down to Salt Lake

Paris was optioned to Triple-A Salt Lake on Saturday.

Paris was called up May 9 to assist in the Angels' infield after Brandon Drury (hamstring) was placed on the injured list. Paris struggled in 58 plate appearances, batting .118 with a 29.3 percent strikeout rate and will hand his spot on the active roster to Michael Stefanic.

  • Angels' Michael Stefanic: Called up by Halos

Stefanic was recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake on Saturday.

Stefanic spent the first two months of the season on the injured list with a strained left quad but was activated in late May and assigned to Triple-A. At Salt Lake, he slashed .333/.431/.426 in 54 plate appearances and will now replace Kyren Paris on the Angels' active roster. Stefanic should mix in at second base until Brandon Drury (hamstring) returns from the IL.

  • Colt Keith 3B | DET

Tigers' Colt Keith: Removed from game after collision

Keith was removed from Saturday's game against the Brewers in the third inning after colliding with Akil Baddoo while tracking down a flyball, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.

Keith was running full speed toward the foul line in right field and collided with Akil Baddoo as the ball dropped. The second baseman looked to be grabbing at his left leg before walking back to the dugout unassisted. Zach McKinstry replaced Keith at second base.

  • Angels' Brandon Drury: Slated for rehab stint next week

Drury (hamstring) has responded well to recent baseball activities and is likely to head out on a rehab assignment during the week of June 10, per MLB.com.

Drury hasn't played since injuring his left hamstring May 8, but he recently progressed to running and participating in full baseball activities, including taking groundballs and hitting on the field. The veteran infielder hasn't had any setbacks while taking part in that work and thus appears just about ready to head out on a rehab stint. It's unclear how many minor-league games Drury will play in, but it appears he could be back with the Angels by the end of next week.
