Guillorme will hit eighth and play second base Thursday against the Royals.

The Angels acquired Guillorme Thursday and he'll immediately be set for his debut with the team. With Brandon Drury (hamstring) landing on the injured list, Guillorme could be in line for regular playing time in the short term.

Frazier isn't in the Royals' lineup for Thursday's game versus the Angels.

The lefty-hitting Frazier will take a seat as Reid Detmers prepares to start on the hill Thursday for the Halos. His absence will allow Nelson Velazquez to serve as the Royals' DH while batting fifth.

Schuemann went 3-for-7 with a double, two walks and two runs during Wednesday's doubleheader against the Rangers.

Schuemann did the majority of his damage in the nightcap, when he got on base thrice via a pair of singles and a walk and came around to score twice. The rookie has now reached safely in five consecutive games, a stretch during which he 's lifted his batting average and on-base percentage to .216 and .348, respectively.

The Angels acquired Guillorme from Atlanta on Thursday in exchange for cash considerations or a player to be named later, Justin Toscano of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

After joining Atlanta on a one-year, $1.1 million deal in January, Guillorme had received limited usage through the first month and a half of the season, logging just 21 plate appearances while seeing action in 10 of the team's 34 games. The infielder should be in store for more playing time with the Angels, who currently have three infielders on the injured list (Anthony Rendon, Miguel Sano and Michael Stefanic) and another two who are day-to-day (Brandon Drury and Luis Rengifo). A glove-first player with a career 93 wRC+ and just five home runs and four stolen bases over 345 MLB games, Guillorme won't make for an especially appealing fantasy option even if he falls into regular at-bats in Anaheim.

Semien went a combined 6-for-10 with a solo home run and three additional runs scored in Wednesday's doubleheader split with Oakland.

Semien, who had identical 3-for-5 lines in each end of the doubleheader, homered for a second straight game in the matinee. It's been a productive two days for Semien, who had four hits and a homer Tuesday; the second baseman raised his average 38 points after going 10-for-15 over the last three games. The surge has lifted his slash line to .286/.333/.476 with seven homers, 28 RBI and 31 runs through 39 contests.

Keith went 1-for-4 with a run scored and two RBI in Wednesday's 5-4, 10-inning loss to the Guardians.

It's not a huge stat line but it is a small step forward for Keith, who's batting just .162 with a .414 OPS this season. The rookie now has hits in consecutive games, which is the first time he's done that since the middle of April. Keith may endure some more struggles as he gets used to the MLB level, though he's a talented prospect and should figure things out at some point.

Lopez is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rays.

Lopez recently overcame a sore adductor and started at second base in the first two contests of the series in Tampa, going 2-for-7 at the plate. The White Sox haven't indicated that Lopez suffered a setback with the injury, so his absence Wednesday is presumably maintenance-related.

The Rangers optioned Ornelas to Triple-A Round Rock on Wednesday.

Ornelas' stay with the big club lasted just two days, as he was sent back to Round Rock while the Rangers were in need of added pitching depth heading into Wednesday's doubleheader with the Athletics. The 23-year-old infielder appeared in one game during his time with the Rangers, going hitless in his lone at-bat.

Drury was removed from Wednesday's game against the Pirates after six innings due to left hamstring tightness. He went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run and one RBI prior to departing.

Drury previously contended with the same injury back in mid-April. He missed a few games with the hamstring injury at the time, and he may not have fully healed up from the injury. Manager Ron Washington should have more information about Drury's condition following the completion of Wednesday's contest.

Gelof (oblique) will join Triple-A Las Vegas this weekend to begin a rehab assignment, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

Gelof has missed the last two weeks with a strained left oblique but has been upping his baseball activities in recent days and was spotted running the bases earlier Wednesday, per Gallegos. Because the young infielder hasn't missed much time, he shouldn't need too many at-bats in the minors before being activated from the 10-day injured list.
