Semien, who currently has an 11-game hit streak, has reached base safely in 19 consecutive games, during which the second baseman is 27-for-79 (.342) with nine extra-base hits, 15 RBI and 19 runs. The Rangers' leadoff hitter ranks second in MLB in runs (43) and sixth in RBI (38) while maintaining career highs in average and OBP.

  • Gleyber Torres 2B | DET

Yankees' Gleyber Torres: Hits seventh homer

Torres went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Reds.

Torres extended the Yankees' lead to 3-1 in the sixth inning with an opposite-field shot off Hunter Greene. It was Torres' seventh homer of the season and his first since May 9. The 26-year-old second baseman is slashing .253/.338/.431 with 22 RBI, 29 runs scored and five stolen bases through 201 plate appearances this season.

  • Royals' Michael Massey: Cranks two-run home run

Massey went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's loss against the White Sox.

Massey drove in the only two runs scored by the Royals on Sunday, taking Lance Lynn yard for a two-run homer in the second inning that scored Edward Olivares. After going homerless in his first 30 games of 2023, Massey has clubbed three long balls in his last 11 appearances to raise his slash line to .213/.259/.307 on the year.

  • Romy Gonzalez 2B | BOS

White Sox's Romy Gonzalez: Steals second bag

Gonzalez went 3-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, one run scored and one steal in Sunday's 5-2 victory over the Royals.

Gonzalez drew the start at shortstop for the White Sox on Sunday and collected a trio of hits. His performance was highlighted by a two-RBI triple in the fifth inning off Max Castillo that plated Gavin Sheets and Clint Frazier to give Chicago the lead. Sunday's outing was Gonzalez's first multi-hit performance in 2023, while his stolen base was his first since April 9. Though Gonzalez may have earned himself some more opportunities moving forward after Sunday's contest, he shouldn't be considered in most formats given his .195/.190/.293 slash line this season.

  • Red Sox's Enmanuel Valdez: Exits Sunday's matchup

Valdez was removed from Sunday's game against the Padres for precautionary reasons, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.

The exact nature and severity of Valdez's injury are unclear, but he was replaced defensively in the bottom of the seventh inning after going 0-for-2 to begin the game. Whether he'll be available for Monday's series opener against the Angels remains to be seen.

  • Jose Caballero 2B | NYY

Mariners' Jose Caballero: Three swipes and a home run Sunday

Caballero went 1-for-1 with a walk, a solo home run and three stolen bases during Sunday's 3-2 loss against Atlanta.

Caballero was hit by a pitch in his first at-bat and proceeded to steal second and third but was stranded to end the inning. He walked in the third and stole another bag, marking his sixth swipe of the year. In his final plate appearance, the rookie hit his first career home run to cut Atlanta's lead to 3-2. Caballero started the year in a platoon with Kolten Wong, but the youngster has outplayed the veteran thus far.

  • Blue Jays' Santiago Espinal: May not require injured list

Espinal, who is out of the lineup Sunday against the Orioles with a hamstring injury, said he shouldn't need a trip to the injured list, Mike Wilner of the Toronto Star reports.

The 28-year-old exited Saturday's contest with a right hamstring issue, but it doesn't appear to be a serious injury. Even if available, Espinal isn't guaranteed to rejoin the starting nine within the next couple days since Toronto's position players are otherwise healthy.

  • Angels' Brandon Drury: Breather Sunday

Drury is not in the starting lineup Sunday versus the Twins, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Drury will get a breather after he went 2-for-7 with two doubles, an RBI and a run scored over the first two games of the series. Luis Rengifo will take over at second base and bat seventh in the series finale with Minnesota.

This was Frazier's first multi-hit effort since May 4. He's been solid this month, batting .283 with two home runs, eight RBI, nine runs scored and two stolen bases across 17 contests. The second baseman is slashing .244/.333/.407 through 155 plate appearances this season.
