Altuve went 1-for-3 with a double, a run scored and a walk Saturday against the Athletics.
Altuve started his second game since returning from a thumb injury and led off the contest with a double before coming around to score. He also worked a two-out walk in the seventh inning, and he has earned a free pass in each of his appearances this season. Altuve will be a fixture atop Houston's order moving forward.

Red Sox's Enrique Hernandez: Notches steal in win
Hernandez went 1-for-3 with a double, a stolen base and two runs scored in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Padres.
Hernandez was plunked by Joe Musgrove in the second inning, then stole second and scored on an Enmanuel Valdez home run. Hernandez also hit a leadoff double and scored in the fourth. The versatile 31-year-old has hit safely in three straight games since returning from a hamstring strain. He's slashing .243/.299/.355 with three home runs, two steals, 16 RBI and 24 runs scored through 41 contests this season.

Red Sox's Enmanuel Valdez: Hits third homer
Valdez went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run and a double in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Padres.
Valdez had gone just 3-for-19 across his last nine games, playing in a strong-side platoon role. The infielder provided all the run support Chris Sale needed Saturday to earn the win. Valdez is slashing .293/.349/.517 with three long balls, 10 RBI, six runs scored and three stolen bases through his first 63 major-league plate appearances.

Red Sox's Christian Arroyo: Beginning rehab assignment Tuesday
Arroyo (hamstring) will begin a rehab assignment Tuesday, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.
Arroyo will likely need to spend a brief stint in the minors as he rehabs from the right hamstring strain that has sidelined him since early in May. If those contests go well, he could be activated at some point next weekend for the series against the Diamondbacks. It's also possible the Red Sox could wait until the following week against the Reds.

Santiago Espinal 2B | LAD
Blue Jays' Santiago Espinal: Exits early Saturday
Espinal exited Saturday's contest with the Orioles early with a right hamstring injury. He went 3-for-3 before leaving.
Espinal was forced out of the game in the top of the eighth inning with right leg discomfort, which is now understood to be hamstring related. Whit Merrifield replaced him at second base and will bat eighth for the remainder of the contest. More information on Espinal's status will likely be provided after the game.

Twins' Edouard Julien: Returns to big leagues
Julien was called up from Triple-A St. Paul on Saturday, Phil Miller of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Julien will replace Jorge Polanco (hamstring) on the big-league roster after Polanco was placed on the 10-day injured list Saturday. Julien is one of the Twins' top prospects and has gone 6-for-27 with two homers, four RBI and four runs scored over eight games with Minnesota in 2023, while the 24-year-old is batting .287 with four long balls, 11 RBI, 26 runs scored and three stolen bases over 108 at-bats in 31 contests with St. Paul this season.

Twins' Jorge Polanco: Placed on 10-day IL
Polanco (hamstring) was placed on the 10-day injured list Saturday, Phil Miller of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
After tweaking his hamstring Wednesday against the Dodgers, Polanco will now be sidelined for at least the next 10 days. The infielder will be eligible to return May 30. In the meantime, Edouard Julien was called up from Triple-A St. Paul to replace him on the major-league roster.

Orioles' Adam Frazier: Goes deep Friday
Frazier went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Friday's 6-2 win over the Blue Jays.
Frazier's already halfway to his career high of 10 homers, as this was his fifth long ball in 44 contests. It came in the ninth inning off Erik Swanson to provide the Orioles some additional breathing room in the win. Frazier has hit .261 (6-for-23) over his last seven contests, and he's at .229 with a .704 OPS, six stolen bases, 18 RBI and 23 runs scored across 150 plate appearances.

Athletics' Jordan Diaz: Sitting Saturday
Diaz is not in the starting lineup Saturday versus the Astros.
Diaz will take a seat after he went 1-for-2 with a walk in Friday's series opener. The 22-year-old has gone 3-for-24 over his last eight contests following a three-homer performance against the Yankees on May 9. Tony Kemp will draw the start at second base and bat eighth against Houston.
