Julien was added to Minnesota's 40-man roster Tuesday, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.

The 23-year-old posted an incredible 19.7 percent walk rate and should move to Triple-A St. Paul this coming year, and he could also sniff the majors.

  • Joseph Ortiz 2B | MIL

Orioles' Joseph Ortiz: Protected from Rule 5 draft

Ortiz was added to the Orioles' 40-man roster Tuesday.

Few minor leaguers were more productive than Ortiz in the final three months of last season. He hit .351/.416/.625 with 17 home runs and seven steals in 74 games from July through September across stops at Double-A and Triple-A. Ortiz also grades out as a quality defensive shortstop, which makes him one of the game's most underrated prospects.

The Red Sox added Valdez to the 40-man roster Thursday, Alex Speier of The Boston Globe reports.

The 23-year-old was slated to become a minor-league free agent due to his service time in the minors, but the move to the 40-man roster will keep him in the organization. Valdez was acquired by the Red Sox from the Astros at the 2022 trade deadline along with Wilyer Abreu in exchange for Christian Vazquez.

After going 0-for-23 in his first 23 postseason at bats, Altuve has completely turned it around, going 7-for-18 in the last four games and achieving a four-game hitting streak. The 32-year-old is heating up at the perfect time for the Astros as they head to Philadelphia for Game 3.
