Twins' Luis Arraez: Encouraging MRI results
Arraez (hamstring) underwent an MRI after being removed from Wednesday's win over the Royals, and manager Rocco Baldelli said there are no serious concerns, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Arraez suffered the injury during the first inning Wednesday when he singled and came around to score. Baldelli expects the 25-year-old back in action "relatively soon," and Arraez's availability for Thursday's series finale remains up in the air.

Elvis Andrus 2B | ARI
White Sox's Elvis Andrus: Two hits, stolen base in loss
Andrus went 2-for-4 with a stolen base in Wednesday's 3-0 loss to the Rockies.
Andrus singled and stole second base in the fifth frame before later adding another base knock in the bottom of the seventh. The stolen base was his 10th of the year and second over his last four games. Since Aug. 27, Andrus has produced multiple hits in 11 out of 17 games, batting .371 with five homers, 16 RBI, 13 runs and two stolen bases over that stretch.

Santiago Espinal 2B | LAD
Blue Jays' Santiago Espinal: Three hits, two runs scored in win
Espinal went 3-for-3 with an RBI and one run scored in Wednesday's 5-1 win over Tampa Bay.
After going hitless in his previous eight at-bats, Espinal responded with three hits Wednesday. The multi-hit effort was his fourth of the month and raised his average to .268. He also came around to score twice, bringing his season-long run total to 50. While he's conceded playing time on occasion, Espinal has proven to be a reliable middle-infield option this season, especially in deeper fantasy leagues.

Luis Arraez 2B | SF
Twins' Luis Arraez: Pulled with hamstring tightness
Arraez was removed from Wednesday's game versus the Royals with left hamstring tightness, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
The 25-year-old led off the game with a single and came around to score, but he apparently suffered the hamstring injury while on the bases since he was replaced in the field for the following frame. The severity of the injury remains unclear, and Arraez should be considered day-to-day heading into Thursday's series finale against Kansas City.

Brandon Lowe 2B | PIT
Rays' Brandon Lowe: MRI reveals inflammation
Lowe underwent an MRI that showed some inflammation in his back, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Lowe landed on the 10-day injured list with lower-back discomfort Tuesday and will seek additional medical opinions following his updated diagnosis. While a better recovery timetable will likely come into focus once he visits with additional doctors, the Rays hope the 28-year-old will play again this season.

Nicky Lopez 3B | CHC
Royals' Nicky Lopez: Sits Wednesday
Lopez isn't in the lineup Wednesday against the Twins.
Lopez went 0-for-2 during Tuesday's loss to Minnesota and will be out of the lineup for the second time in the last three games. Bobby Witt is taking over at shortstop and batting second.

Gleyber Torres 2B | DET
Yankees' Gleyber Torres: Knocks in three runs Tuesday
Torres went 1-for-5 with a double, three RBI and a stolen base in Tuesday's 7-6 extra-inning win over the Red Sox.
Torres' lone hit of the game was huge, as his three-run double in the 10th inning provided just enough support for New York's bullpen to wrap up the victory. The two-bagger extended Torres' modest hitting streak to four games, during which he's batting .316 (6-for-19) with three extra-base hits (including two homers), eight RBI and a stolen base. His 23 doubles on the season are three shy of his career-best mark of 26 set in 2019.

Jack Mayfield 2B | LAA
Angels' Jack Mayfield: Returns from IL
Mayfield (undisclosed) went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to Sugar Land after being activated from Triple-A Salt Lake's 7-day injured list.
Mayfield had been sidelined for the past six weeks due to the unspecified injury. The 31-year-old utility man owns a .230/.279/.394 slash line over 179 plate appearances at Salt Lake this season.

Michael Stefanic 2B | TOR
Angels' Michael Stefanic: Called up Wednesday
Stefanic was recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake on Wednesday.
Stefanic was sent to the minors in late July, and he missed a few games at the end of August due to back spasms. However, he's been back in action over the last few weeks and has slashed .484/.590/.871 with two home runs, a triple, four doubles, nine runs and nine RBI over nine games since the start of September. He should have a chance to carve out playing time for the Angels down the stretch after Andrew Velazquez (knee) was placed on the 10-day injured list Wednesday.

Jorge Polanco 1B | NYM
Twins' Jorge Polanco: Could return this week
Polanco (knee) could be activated from the injured list at some point this week, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Polanco's return date continues to be a moving target, as he's been said to be close to returning at several points in the past week. It doesn't sound like he'll need a rehab stint, so he could be activated as early as this weekend.
