Harold Castro 2B | KC
Tigers' Harold Castro: Tallies three hits Tuesday
Castro went 3-for-5 with two doubles, two RBI and a run scored in Tuesday's win over the Guardians.
Castro batted cleanup and did his part, driving in half of the Tigers' four runs. All three of his hits came against Cleveland starter Zach Plesac. Castro is now batting a robust .282 for the season, and with Spencer Torkelson toiling in Triple-A, the former should continue to see regular playing time at first base for Detroit.

Enrique Hernandez SS | LAD
Red Sox's Enrique Hernandez: Returns from IL
The Red Sox activated Hernandez (hip) from the 60-day injured list Tuesday, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports. He'll start at shortstop and bat seventh in his return to the lineup Tuesday in Pittsburgh.
Hernandez is finally back and ready for his first big-league action since June 7, when he suffered a right hip flexor strain. The 30-year-old should eventually settle into an everyday role in center field and push Jarren Duran to the bench, but Hernandez will make his return at shortstop while Xander Bogaerts (shin) is day-to-day.

Jorge Polanco 1B | NYM
Twins' Jorge Polanco: Not starting Tuesday
Polanco (knee) is not in the lineup Tuesday against Kansas City.
The infielder should be considered day-to-day after he hurt his knee on a slide Monday. Luis Arraez figures to be the everyday second baseman for however long Polanco is sidelined.

Whit Merrifield 2B | ATL
Blue Jays' Whit Merrifield: On bench Tuesday
Merrifield isn't in the lineup Tuesday against Baltimore.
It will be difficult to fit both Merrifield and Santiago Espinal, who's playing second base Tuesday, in the lineup every day now that George Springer's back in action. Merrifield has hit .250 with one RBI and one stolen base in nine games since joining the Blue Jays at the deadline.

Brandon Lowe 2B | PIT
Rays' Brandon Lowe: Sits versus lefty
Lowe is on the bench Tuesday versus the Yankees, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Lowe retreats to the bench with lefty Nestor Cortes on the mound for New York. Yu Chang is playing second base Tuesday, and Lowe will almost certainly re-enter the lineup Wednesday against right-hander Domingo German.

Sam Haggerty LF | TEX
Mariners' Sam Haggerty: Swipes seventh base
Haggerty went 1-for-4 with a stolen base and a run in a win over the Angels on Monday.
Haggerty's stolen base was part of a wild ninth-inning rally for the Mariners that the hot-hitting veteran ignited with a one-out single. Haggerty subsequently advanced on a wild throw to second by catcher Max Stassi and then swiped third base before escaping a rundown attempt to score Seattle's first run. The 28-year-old has been a constant thorn in the side of opposing pitching all season and boasts a .385/.433/.577 slash line across the 30 plate appearances covering his last eight games.

Tony Kemp 2B | MIN
Athletics' Tony Kemp: Swipes seventh base Monday
Kemp went 1-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in a loss to the Rangers on Monday.
Kemp extended his on-base streak to nine straight starts with Monday's production. The veteran's steal was also a long time coming -- he'd last pulled off a successful pilfer July 1 -- and he's now just two swipes away from tying the career-high nine he recorded in 2018.

Mauricio Dubon 2B | ATL
Astros' Mauricio Dubon: Steps back into lineup
Dubon went 1-for-5 with a run scored Monday against the White Sox.
Dubon got the start at second base and led off with both Jeremy Pena (neck) and Jose Altuve out of the lineup. He led off the game with a single before coming around to score on a Yordan Alvarez sacrifice fly. Including Monday, Dubon has started only six of Houston's 13 games in August, collecting two hits across 20 at-bats.

Luis Rengifo 2B | MIL
Angels' Luis Rengifo: Continues power surge
Rengifo went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to the Mariners on Monday.
Rengifo provided an early spark for the Angels, slugging a game-tying solo shot off Luis Castillo in the first inning. The long ball was his third in his past seven games after he failed to go deep in 28 straight contests from July 5 to Aug. 7. Rengifo is slashing .315/.341/.500 with six homers, 13 doubles, 23 RBI and four stolen bases over his past 45 games.
