Rays' Vidal Brujan: Set to debut in Game 1
Brujan will make his major-league debut in Game 1 of Wednesday's doubleheader against Cleveland, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports. He will bat fifth and play second base.
Brujan was recalled to serve as the 27th man for the twin bill and manager Kevin Cash will take waste no time getting the prized prospect into his first big-league game. While Brujan is currently slated to be with the club for just one day, the Rays could make another transaction later Wednesday to keep Brujan on the 26-man roster going forward.

Owen Miller 2B | CHC
Indians' Owen Miller: Back with Cleveland as 27th man
Miller was recalled from Triple-A Columbus to serve as the 27th man for Wednesday's doubleheader against the Rays.
Miller joined the big club June 30 to serve as the extra man for the twin bill against Detroit and was retired in his lone at-bat as a pinch hitter. He'll return to majors Wednesday but will likely be sent back to Columbus once again following Game 2.

Rays' Vidal Brujan: Officially called up Wednesday
Brujan was called up from Triple-A Durham on Wednesday to serve as the 27th man for the doubleheader against Cleveland, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.
It was reported Tuesday that Brujan would join the Rays for the doubleheader and now the move has been made official. While he's currently slated to be with the club for just the one day, it would not be surprising if Tampa Bay makes another move later Wednesday to keep him on the 26-man roster going forward, especially considering that outfielder Manuel Margot (hamstring) was placed on the injured list. Brujan, who slashed .259/.344/.471 with nine homers and 29 RBI at Durham, will be making his highly anticipated major-league debut if he's able to get into a game Wednesday.

Elvis Andrus 2B | ARI
Athletics' Elvis Andrus: Three hits in loss
Andrus went 3-for-5 with a double, two runs scored, an RBI and a stolen base in Tuesday's 9-6 loss to the Astros.
The veteran shortstop remains in a groove at the plate, slashing .280/.323/.398 since the beginning of June with five of his eight steals on the year as well as his only homer. Andrus doesn't have a tremendous fantasy ceiling at this stage of his career, but as long as he's rapping out hits, he'll have some value.

Gleyber Torres 2B | DET
Yankees' Gleyber Torres: Managing hamstring issue
Torres is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Mariners while dealing with hamstring cramps, Erik Boland of Newsday reports.
The injury apparently surfaced during Sunday's doubleheader against the Mets, resulting in Torres sitting out the nightcap. Manager Aaron Boone doesn't believe it's a serious injury, and the infielder isn't currently scheduled to undergo any medical testing.

Gleyber Torres 2B | DET
Yankees' Gleyber Torres: On bench Tuesday
Torres is out of the lineup Tuesday against the Mariners.
Torres also sat Game 2 of Sunday's doubleheader against the Mets, and he finds himself on the bench again Tuesday. Gio Urshela will shift to shortstop and DJ LeMahieu to third base while Rougned Odor covers the keystone.

Jack Mayfield 2B | LAA
Angels' Jack Mayfield: Recalled by Angels
Mayfield was recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake on Tuesday.
Mayfield was claimed off waivers by the Angels in mid-June, and he slashed .329/.382/.657 with five homers, 14 runs and 11 RBI across 15 games during his time at Triple-A Salt Lake. The 30-year-old should serve as a utility option for the Angels after Anthony Rendon (hamstring) was placed on the 10-day injured list in a corresponding move.
-
Tony Kemp 2B | MIN
Athletics' Tony Kemp: Out of lineup against lefty
Kemp is not in the starting lineup Tuesday against the Astros and lefty Framber Valdez, Matt Kawahara of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Kemp's strong month of June helped him get more time against left-handed starters, but he'll take a seat against Valdez to start the series. Chad Pinder, Ramon Laureano and Stephen Piscotty will fill the outfield from left to right Tuesday.

Vidal Brujan 2B | NYM
Rays' Vidal Brujan: Call-up expected Wednesday
Brujan is expected to be called up as the 27th man for Wednesday's doubleheader against Cleveland, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
While Brujan should be available for Wednesday's twin bill, he could remain on the active roster going forward since Manuel Margot (hamstring) will likely be placed on the 10-day injured list as part of a corresponding move. The 23-year-old has hit just .210 since June 1, but he's slashing .259/.344/.471 with 21 extra-base hits, 37 runs, 29 RBI and 15 stolen bases at Triple-A Durham in 2021.
