Biggio (elbow/back/neck) took batting practice on the field Saturday, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Biggio hit the injured list with back and neck issues in early August and then sprained his left UCL in a rehab game. He was shut down for a week but is back on the path to recovery now, though exactly when the Blue Jays expect him to return from the injured list is not yet clear.

Motter was added to Boston's active roster Saturday.

Claimed off waivers from Colorado on Thursday after being designated for assignment, Motter will be up to provide depth for a Red Sox team down several regulars. He can play all over the field, but Motter has hit just .189/.261/.304 in parts of four big-league seasons.

Semien went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run in Friday's 11-10 win over the A's.

The veteran infielder came through when it counted for the Jays, launching a walkoff blast off Sergio Romo in the ninth inning of a game in which Toronto had been trailing 8-2 heading into the eighth. His heroics also gave Semien a new career high with 34 homers on the season, eight of which have come in his last 17 games.

Kemp went 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBI in Friday's 11-10 loss to the Blue Jays.

His two-run shot in the sixth inning chased Alek Manoah from the game. Kemp is on a tear with four multi-hit performances in his last six games, going 9-for-22 (.409) over that stretch with two of his six homers on the year.

Torres is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Orioles.

Torres just returned to action Friday after missing three-plus weeks with a sprained left thumb, and it seems the Yankees are playing it safe and easing Torres back into action after he played in only three rehab games. Andrew Velazquez will start at shortstop and bat eighth against righty Chris Ellis.

Torres went 0-for-4 in Friday's 4-3 extra-innings win over Baltimore.

Torres missed nearly a month with a sprained left thumb, and he showed a little rust at the plate with his 0-fer performance. Prior to the injury, he had hit safely in 17 of 22 games coming out of the All-Star break, posting a .300/.337/.500 slash line in that span. He should take over as the Yankees' everyday shortstop going forward.

Short was optioned to Triple-A Toledo on Friday.

Short didn't start any of the last three games, but he should receive more consistent at-bats in the minors. The 26-year-old had slashed just .111/.150/.222 with three home runs, 10 RBI, nine runs and a stolen base in 38 games since the All-Star break.

Gimenez went 2-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored in Friday's 8-5 loss to Boston.

The infielder recorded his first multi-hit effort in 18 games since he was recalled from Triple-A Columbus on Aug. 7. Gimenez has notched four steals in that span, but he's just 10-for-46 (.217) at the plate. He's added two home runs, seven RBI, eight stolen bases and 14 runs scored through 141 plate appearances overall.

Arauz went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a double and two total runs scored in Friday's 8-5 win over Cleveland.

The infielder started at shortstop with Xander Bogaerts (COVID-19) unavailable. In the fourth inning, Arauz took Cleveland starter Cal Quantrill deep. The homer snapped an 0-for-13 skid at the plate for Arauz, who is now slashing .188/.304/.354 with a pair of homers, six RBI, seven runs scored and two doubles through 56 plate appearances. He'll likely see regular playing time until Boston gets some of its ailing infielders off the COVID-19 list.

Polanco went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Friday's 5-3 loss to the Rays.

Polanco got the Twins on the board early with his solo shot off Michael Wacha in the first inning. He later knocked an RBI double in the eighth. It was his first homer since going deep in three straight games from Aug. 23-25 and he's gone 21-for-63 (.333) with nine extra-base hits over his last 15 games. Polanco is slashing .276/.334/.498 with 80 RBI through 125 games.
