Rengifo was optioned to the Angels' alternate training site Thursday, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Rengifo was a relatively consistent member of the starting lineup early in the season, but he's seen his playing time drop recently as he's struggled at the plate. The 23-year-old hit .157/.283/.235 with one home run and one RBI over 18 games to begin the year, and he'll attempt to sort things out at the alternate camp and return before the end of the campaign.

Lowe isn't in Thursday's lineup against the Orioles.

Lowe will get a day off with left-hander John Means serving as the starting pitcher for the Orioles on Thursday. Joey Wendle will start at second base while Hunter Renfroe will be deployed as the right fielder.

Mendick went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run during Wednesday's 10-3 win against Pittsburgh.

The 26-year-old capped off the White Sox's four-run second inning by hitting a two-run shot to right field. Mendick has been a fixture at the bottom of the lineup with Nick Madrigal (shoulder) and Leury Garcia (thumb) sidelined, and he's taken advantage of the opportunity with a .266/.314/.443 slash line and nine runs, three homers and six RBI in 25 games.

Lowe went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run Wednesday against the Orioles.

Lowe took Asher Wojciechowski deep in the third inning for his 10th homer of the season. After a power surge throughout the middle of August, Lowe has cooled a bit at the plate, as he's now just 3-for-22 across his last six games. Despite a slow stretch at the dish, Lowe is still hitting an impressive .296/.397/.676 with 26 runs scored and 27 RBI across 126 plate appearances to this point in the season.

Kemp isn't starting Wednesday's game against the Rangers.

Kemp will take a seat with southpaw Kolby Allard on the mound for the Rangers on Wednesday. Franklin Barreto is starting at second base in his absence.

Rengifo went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk and an additional run scored in the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Astros.

Rengifo made the most of a start in Game 2 of the twin bill, crushing a 422-foot shot to left field in the fourth inning for his first long ball of the season. The homer was only the second extra-base hit of 2020 for Rengifo, who has struggled to a .157/.283/.235 slash line through 60 plate appearances.

Espinal went 3-for-4 with a double and a run scored in Tuesday's 9-7 loss to the Red Sox.

The former Boston farmhand, acquired a couple years ago for Steve Pearce, showed his old bosses what they were missing both at the plate and in the field. Since taking over as the Jays' main shortstop when Bo Bichette (knee) got hurt, Espinal has three multi-hit performances in his seven starts but is 0-for-11 in the other four games, leading to a .304/.320/.391 slash line during that stretch.

Haggerty went 1-for-4 with a stolen base in Tuesday's win over the Padres.

Make it three steals through six games for Haggerty. He also has a homer, three RBI and three runs scored. "He can do a lot of things on the field," manager Scott Servais told Lauren Smith of The News Tribune. "I'm excited with how he's swinging the bat. That was the report coming out of the Tacoma -- these quality at-bats, they were there." A 24th-round pick in 2015, Haggerty was traded from Cleveland to the Mets in January of 2019 before the Mets ultimately DFA'd him. Haggerty stole 49 bases at the High-A level in 2017 and clearly has a fan in Servais, as Haggerty has been anchored in the two hole and playing left field every day since his callup.

Kemp went 1-for-2 with three runs scored and a walk in Tuesday's 10-3 win over the Rangers. He was also hit by a pitch.

Kemp scored all three times he got on base, making a noticeable contribution to the Athletics' big win. He's hit safely in four straight games, going 4-for-14 (2.86) in that span. The second baseman is slashing .250/.384/.283 with one RBI, 11 runs scored and two stolen bases across 74 plate appearances.

Semien went 3-for-5 with a two-run home run, an additional run scored and a double in Tuesday's 10-3 win over the Rangers.

Semien swatted his fifth homer of the year in the fifth inning, accounting for what would be the winning run. In the seventh, the shortstop got aboard on a fielder's choice and later scored on Stephen Piscotty three-run double. Semien has back-to-back three-hit games, raising his batting average to .233 across 143 plate appearances. He's added 12 RBI, 18 runs scored and three stolen bases in 31 games this year.
