  • Mets' Jose Iglesias: Game-winning RBI against Arizona

Iglesias went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base in Thursday's win over the Diamondbacks.

The veteran infielder came up big when it mattered, bringing home Tyrone Taylor with a single up the middle in the top of the ninth inning to break a 2-2 tie. Iglesias continues to get consistent playing time at second base while occasionally filling in at third base, and through 65 plate appearances in August he's slashing .276/.338/.328 with two steals, five runs and five RBI.

  • Otto Lopez SS | MIA

Marlins' Otto Lopez: Three hits in Thursday's win

Lopez went 3-for-4 with a walk, two doubles and a run scored in Thursday's win over the Rockies.

The Marlins took advantage of their last game in Coors Field for the season with an 18-hit, 12-run barrage, and Lopez carved out his share of the production. The 25-year-old infielder has hit safely in five straight games and 12 of the last 13, slashing .362/.444/.532 over the latter stretch with six doubles, a triple, two steals, five runs and seven RBI.

  • Brice Turang 2B | MIL

Brewers' Brice Turang: Sitting out afternoon game

Turang is absent from the lineup for the first game of Friday's doubleheader in Cincinnati.

Turang will surely be back in there for the nightcap, but he'll sit out the afternoon tilt. Andruw Monasterio will play second base and bat ninth for the Brewers in the first game.

  • Reds' Jonathan India: Drives in two in comeback win

India went 1-for-3 with a walk, two RBI and a run scored in Thursday's 10-9 win over the Athletics.

India walked with the bases loaded to deliver a run, then hit a sacrifice fly for another. He also singled and scored in the Reds' three-run bottom of the ninth as part of the team's second comeback during the game. India has hit safely in four of the last five contests but has struggled overall since the All-Star break, posting a slash line of .187/.286/.302. However, he remains Cincinnati's leadoff batter.

  • Rockies' Brendan Rodgers: Cranks two homers

Rodgers went 3-for-5 with a pair of home runs, three total RBI and three total runs scored in Thursday's 12-8 loss to the Marlins.

Rodgers got Colorado on the board with a solo shot off Valente Bellozo in the third inning before adding a two-run homer in the fourth. It's the first multi-homer game of the year for Rodgers, who'd been marred in a 3-for-24 slump coming into Thursday's contest. Overall, the 28-year-old second baseman has put together a solid campaign -- he's now slashing .274/.319/.419 with 12 homers, 48 RBI, 57 runs scored and one stolen base across 180 plate appearances.

  • Bryson Stott 2B | PHI

Phillies' Bryson Stott: Two steals in win

Stott went 0-for-1 with three walks and two stolen bases in Thursday's 5-4 win over Atlanta.

Stott had walked just four times over his first 22 games in August before drawing three free passes Thursday. He's batting just .213 (17-for-80) this month, though he has logged five steals. For the season, the second baseman is 28-for-30 on stolen base attempts while adding nine home runs, 47 RBI, 56 runs scored, 15 doubles, two triples and a .241/.319/.352 slash line over 123 contests.

  • Luis Guillorme 3B | HOU

Diamondbacks' Luis Guillorme: Sitting against lefty

Guillorme is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Mets.

Guillorme will hit the bench along with fellow left-handed hitters Joc Pederson and Adrian Del Castillo as the Mets send southpaw David Peterson to the hill for the series finale. Kevin Newman will get the nod at second base Thursday, but Guillorme should be locked in the large side of a platoon at the position until Ketel Marte (ankle) is ready to return from the injured list.

  • Padres' Xander Bogaerts: Rare day off Thursday

Bogaerts is absent from the lineup for Thursday's game in St. Louis, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Bogaerts had a day off in his second game back from the injured list back on July 13, but Thursday's contest will mark the first time he's been out of the lineup since then. Donovan Solano will enter the lineup in his place at designated hitter, with Jake Cronenworth covering second base and Luis Arraez manning third base.

  • Thairo Estrada 2B | BAL

Giants' Thairo Estrada: Placed on waivers

The Giants placed Estrada on waivers Wednesday, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Estrada has taken a considerable step back at the plate this season, slashing .216/.246/.345 with nine home runs and 46 RBI through 374 plate appearances. Due to his poor performance, the Giants have now made him available for any other team willing to pay the remainder of the $4.7 million contract he signed with San Francisco during the offseason. He is still eligible to play while on waivers.

  • Rockies' Brendan Rodgers: Resting amid slump

Rodgers is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Marlins.

Rodgers is likely getting a veteran's rest day after he had started each of the Rockies' last 20 games. He owns an .818 OPS for August but has cooled off at the plate of late, going 3-for-24 with 11 strikeouts and no walks over his last six contests. Aaron Schunk will step in at second base for the slumping Rodgers.
