Ketel Marte 2B | ARI
Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Not starting Saturday
Marte is out of the lineup for Saturday's game against the Rockies.
It appears to be a regular day of rest for Marte, who has gone 2-for-10 since coming off the injured list. The 27-year-old was an offensive force, albeit in a small sample, before suffering the hamstring injury and will be one of his team's most valuable contributors once he gets back in the swing of things.

Ketel Marte 2B | ARI
Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Bats leadoff Friday
Marte batted leadoff and went 1-for-5 in Friday's 7-1 loss to the Rockies.
This was Marte's second start since coming off the injured list and first as the leadoff batter. He was the primary leadoff hitter before the injury but slotted in at the two hole Thursday before returning to his customary spot Friday.

Nico Hoerner 2B | CHC
Cubs' Nico Hoerner: Scores three runs
Hoerner went 2-for-5 with a double and three runs scored in Friday's 12-3 win over the Cubs.
Hoerner doubled and scored in the fifth inning and later came around to score in both the seventh and eighth. He's riding a five-game hitting streak, going 8-for-20 with six runs scored during that span. Hoerner owns an .885 OPS through 18 games this season.

Ozzie Albies 2B | ATL
Braves' Ozzie Albies: Launches seventh homer
Albies went 2-for-5 with a walk, a double, a home run, three RBI and a second run scored in Friday's 20-1 rout of the Pirates.
He golfed a pitch down around his ankles over the fence in the fifth inning off Tyler Anderson, one of seven homers on the night for Atlanta. Albies had gone 0-for-16 in his prior four games before busting out Friday, and he's hitting only .224 on the season with seven homers, two steals, 21 RBI and 24 runs through 43 contests.

Nick Gonzales 2B | PIT
Pirates' Nick Gonzales: Suffers broken pinky
Gonzales suffered a fractured pinky finger during a collision at first base, which is why he was placed on the 7-day injured list at High-A Greensboro on Friday, Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports. He is expected to return to baseball activities in 4-to-6 weeks.
As far as injuries go, this one should be pretty minor, particularly regarding Gonzales' long-term development. The No. 7 overall pick in the 2020 draft was hitting .294/.368/.549 with two home runs, two steals and a 16:5 K:BB in 57 plate appearances.

Alan Trejo SS | COL
Rockies' Alan Trejo: Out with dislocated finger
Trejo dislocated his finger while playing for Triple-A Albuquerque on Thursday and will miss the next several weeks, Nick Groke of The Athletic reports.
Trejo spent most of the year on the big-league roster but struggled to a .538 OPS in 41 plate appearances. He played just a single Triple-A game before suffering the injury, which will keep him from returning to the active roster for quite some time.

Luis Urias 2B | ATH
Brewers' Luis Urias: Retreating to utility role
Urias is expected to fill a utility role going forward after the Brewers acquired Willy Adames in a trade with the Rays on Friday, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Urias has been a regular starter at shortstop this season but has once again failed to make an impression at the plate. The infielder is just 23 years old and had a fair amount of prospect pedigree, but he's yet to produce an OPS of even .700 in any of his four big-league seasons thus far. His .676 mark this season actually represents a career high but is far from good enough to justify everyday at-bats.

Brandon Drury 2B | KC
Mets' Brandon Drury: Contract selected by Mets
Drury's contract was selected by the Mets on Friday.
Drury hasn't done much in recent seasons, hitting just .205/.254/.346 in 167 games. He could see a fair number of at-bats in the near future, however, due to the Mets' extensive injury crisis. He'll head straight into the lineup Friday against the Marlins, batting seventh and playing first base in place of Pete Alonso, who hit the injured list with sprained hand in a corresponding move.

Nick Gonzales 2B | PIT
Pirates' Nick Gonzales: On 7-day IL
Gonzales was placed on the 7-day injured list with High-A Greensboro on Friday, John Dreker of Pirates Prospects reports.
It's unclear what the nature of Gonzales' injury is. The star second base prospect was hitting .294/.368/.549 with two home runs, two steals and a 16:5 K:BB in 57 plate appearances.

Brendan Rodgers 2B | BOS
Rockies' Brendan Rodgers: Activated and in starting lineup
Rodgers (hamstring) was activated from the 10-day injured list Friday and will bat sixth and play second base against the Diamondbacks, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
Rodgers has plenty of prospect pedigree and is still just 24 years old, but his star has dimmed somewhat due to persistent injury problems. In 102 plate appearances thus far at the big-league level, he's hit a miserable .196/.235/.227. He's been out since mid-March with a strained right hamstring but could get plenty of chances to show what he can do going forward with the rebuilding Rockies already sitting last in the entire league.
