Pirates' Adam Frazier: Stuck in bench role following Marte's return
Frazier is out of the lineup Sunday against the Rockies.
After maintaining an everyday role with the Pirates since mid-May, Frazier looks bound to serve as a lightly used utility man off the bench following Starling Marte's reinstatement from suspension earlier in the week. It looks like Frazier, who has started just one of the Pirates' last seven games, won't warrant much consideration for duties in right field either after Gregory Polanco (hamstring) landed on the disabled list Saturday. John Jaso picked up the start at the position Saturday and Jose Osuna will man right field Sunday, so those two players could end up working in a platoon until Polanco returns.

Dilson Herrera 2B | CIN
Reds' Dilson Herrera: Potentially out for season
Herrera (shoulder) is probably done for the season, at least according to his Triple-A manager Delino DeShields, the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
The Reds' team doctors in Cincinnati will examine Herrera in the upcoming week, but the initial prognosis doesn't look good. Herrera has started only 66 games since the Reds acquired him in the Jay Bruce deal. The lack of progress from Herrera and Jose Peraza has been one of the biggest disappointments for the Reds this season.

Reds' Dilson Herrera: Placed on disabled list
Herrera was placed on the 7-day disabled list with Triple-A Louisville on Friday due to right labrum inflammation, MLB.com's Mark Sheldon reports.
Herrera will get his shoulder examined by team doctors sometime next week, but hasn't been able to consistently play through the injury. Following his check-up, the team should be able to provide a diagnosis and a timetable for the 23-year-old. Moving forward, if Herrera is able to recover from this setback, he would be a solid candidate to join the Reds come September.

Reds' Dilson Herrera: Dealing with shoulder injury
Herrera will get his shoulder examined next week, Zach Buchanan of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Herrera has played in just four games since July 13, as the club continues to monitor his condition. Although there wasn't much concern initially, the Reds have been alarmed by the lack of recovery while he's been resting. The 23-year-old has been in the midst of a fairly decent season at Triple-A Louisville, hitting .264/.312/.397 with seven home runs and 42 RBI.

Logan Forsythe 2B | LAD
Dodgers' Logan Forsythe: Rides pine Thursday
Forsythe is not in the lineup Thursday against the Braves, Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Forsythe has just four hits over the past week with only one of those going for extra bases. He'll cede Thursday's start, allowing Chase Utley to fill in for him at the keystone.

Ketel Marte 2B | ARI
Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Connects for second homer
Marte went 1-for-3 with a home run, a walk, two RBI and two runs scored in Thursday's win over the Reds.
The long ball, a two-run shot off Ariel Hernandez in the ninth, was Marte's second in 16 games since his recall. Thursday's start was just Marte's second since the All-Star break, and with sporadic playing time, Marte's appeal is limited mostly to daily and NL-only formats.

Yangervis Solarte 2B | SD
Padres' Yangervis Solarte: Could hit from both sides Thursday
Solarte (oblique) could be cleared Thursday to take batting practice from both sides of the plate, Dennis Lin of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
The oblique issue that has sidelined Solarte for the past month apparently isn't as problematic when he swings the bat, but the injury continues to hamper him in the field. Until Solarte is able to perform full baseball activities for a few days in a row, a rehab assignment shouldn't be considered forthcoming. Solarte's extended absence has allowed rookie Carlos Asuaje to see regular starts at second base.

Brandon Drury 2B | KC
Diamondbacks' Brandon Drury: Left out of Thursday lineup
Drury is not in the Diamondbacks' lineup Thursday, Jody Jackson of Fox Sports Arizona reports.
Drury rarely plays a full week's worth of games, despite his versatility in the field, as the Diamondbacks continue to mix and match second base and shortstop between Drury, Chris Owings and Ketel Marte. The latter two are starting up the middle Thursday, in fact. Drury's deep-league fantasy owners must continue monitoring his lineup status.

Enrique Hernandez SS | LAD
Dodgers' Enrique Hernandez: Homers twice in Wednesday's win
Hernandez went 2-for-4 with two solo home runs in Wednesday's 9-1 win over the White Sox.
Both shots came off Carlos Rodon, as Hernandez continues to be a lefty killer this season. Nine of his 10 homers on the year have come against southpaws despite the fact that he's seen fewer plate appearances against them, and his 1.033 OPS versus lefties is close to double his .587 figure against righties.

Adam Frazier 2B | LAA
Pirates' Adam Frazier: Rides pine Monday
Frazier is not in the lineup Monday against the Brewers.
Although Frazier has six hits in 12 at-bats since the All-Star break, he'll hit the bench for a night off Monday against left-hander Brent Suter, allowing Jose Osuna to man left field. Frazier's playing time is expected to dwindle a bit moving forward with Starling Marte (suspension) expected to return Tuesday, although the former's positional versatility should help him carve out a semi-regular role if he continues to swing a hot bat.
