Donovan went 3-for-4 with a double, two RBI and a run scored in Wednesday's 6-4 loss to the Pirates.

Donovan was at the center of the Cardinals' fifth-inning rally, hitting a two-run double and scoring on a fielder's choice to tie the game at 4-4. The versatile rookie has gone 13-for-21 (.619) in his last five games, and it's that kind of hitting that has forced manager Oli Marmol's hand in finding a place for Donovan in the lineup on a near-daily basis. The 25-year-old is up to a .341/.448/.465 slash line with one home run, two stolen bases, 20 RBI, 22 runs scored and 13 doubles through 153 plate appearances.

McNeil went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional RBI in Wednesday's 10-2 loss to the Brewers.

McNeil tagged Brewers starter Corbin Burnes for a solo shot in the fourth inning and an RBI single in the sixth, but that was the extent of the Mets' run production. It's been a solid June for McNeil, who is 14-for-40 (.350) in 11 games this month. The versatile 30-year-old is up to a .324/.375/.460 slash line with four homers, 31 RBI, 29 runs scored, two stolen bases and 15 doubles through 60 contests in 2022.

India went 1-for-4 with a double and an RBI on Wednesday against the Diamondbacks.

India made his second consecutive start since being activated from the injured list. He's gone 2-for-8 with two RBI since, including an RBI double in the second inning Wednesday. Overall, India has a .288/.327/.346 line, though he has been limited to only 55 plate appearances on the season.

Drury went 1-for-3 with a solo home run Wednesday against the Diamondbacks.

Drury knotted the game at 3-3 in the eighth inning with his 13th home run of the season. He's tallied at least one hit in 13 of his 14 starts in June, racking up five home runs, eight RBI and 17 runs scored in that span. That stretch has added to Drury's excellent .370 wOBA and 134 wRC+, which he's maintained across 222 plate appearances this season.

Marte was removed from Wednesday's win over the Reds with tightness in his hamstring, Zach Buchanan of The Athletic reports.

Marte went 1-for-3 with a walk and a run before being replaced in the field for the ninth inning, and manager Torey Lovullo labeled the second baseman's removal a precautionary move. Marte has not been scheduled for to undergo imaging, per Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic, which suggests the club does not consider the injury serious. The Diamondbacks have a scheduled day off Thursday, so the 28-year-old will have a full day to recover ahead of Friday's series opener versus the Twins.

Gimenez is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rockies.

The 23-year-old has a .324/.395/.588 slash line through 10 games in June but will take a seat Wednesday with lefty Austin Gomber pitching for Colorado. Owen Miller will man the keystone in Gimenez's place.

Manager Dave Martinez committed to Garcia as the Nationals' primary shortstop Wednesday, Jesse Dougherty of The Washington Post reports.

Garcia has performed well as an everyday player for Washington while filling in for Alcides Escobar (hamstring), and Martinez confirmed Wednesday that Escobar will be used as a utility man upon his return while Garcia remains in an everyday role at shortstop. Garcia is slashing .353/.358/.471 with a homer, three doubles, eight RBI and five runs with the major-league club this year.

Biggio is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Orioles.

Biggio will take a seat after he went 6-for-20 with three extra-base hits, four walks, three runs and two RBI while starting in each of the Jays' last six games. The 27-year-old has looked far better with Toronto following his May 26 call-up from Triple-A than he did earlier in the campaign, but he still looks to be stuck in a utility role with Vladimir Guerrero, Santiago Espinal, Bo Bichette and Matt Chapman locked in as the Jays' everyday infielders.

Atlanta announced that Albies underwent successful surgery Wednesday in Green Bay, Wis. to stabilize a fracture in his left foot.

The club's decision to place Albies on the 60-day injured list a day earlier signaled that surgery was a likely outcome for the 25-year-old, who broke his foot during a plate appearance in Monday's win over the Nationals. Atlanta hasn't announced whether it anticipates Albies missing more than the minimum two months, and a clearer target date for his return may not come until he's able to resume baseball activities. Orlando Arcia is expected to serve as Atlanta's primary second baseman while Albies is on the mend from surgery.

Guillorme will start at third base and bat eighth in Wednesday's game against the Brewers.

Guillorme will remain in the starting nine for the sixth time in seven games, this time manning the hot corner after making his previous five appearances at second base. Even though Jeff McNeil and Eduardo Escobar are still expected to see their fair shares of reps at second and third, respectively, Guillorme looks like he'll occupy a near-everyday role while manager Buck Showalter regularly doles out rest days to one or two other regulars in the lineup. Guillorme's stellar glove in the infield along with his surprising growth as a hitter this season (.812 OPS, 142 wRC+) have made it too difficult for Showalter to exclude him from the lineup.
