Marte went 2-for-2 with two walks, a double and two runs scored in Wednesday's 8-7 win over the Marlins.

Marte is still batting below .200, but he extended a hit streak to five games, during which he's 6-for-18 with five extra-base hits, three walks and six runs scored. Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo has moved him around the order in effort to jumpstart the bat, and his recent run batting sixth against right-handers appears to have helped.

Hoerner went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's loss to the White Sox.

Hoerner is now riding a modest three-game hitting streak and he's up to two home runs this season. The shortstop isn't a huge power threat, as he failed to hit any long balls across 92 games at the MLB level over the last two years. However, the 24-year-old does make consistent contact at the plate, and he's now batting a solid .276 this season.

Guillorme went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Wednesday against Atlanta.

Guillorme drew a start at second base and hit eighth with Mark Canha drawing a day off and Jeff McNeil shifting to the outfield as a result. Guillorme moved up a slot on the depth chart after Robinson Cano was designated for assignment, and he has now started three of the team's last five games. He took advantage of the opportunity Wednesday by taking Darren O'Day yard for his first homer of the season in the ninth inning. Guillorme is now hitting .243/.364/.405 across 45 plate appearances on the campaign.

India's hamstring injury is the same injury that landed him on the injured list earlier, and it will keep him out "a couple of weeks," but not four-to-six weeks, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports. "It's the same injury, but I've been assured that nothing he did while he was playing made it worse," manager Bell said. "He was trying to play through it, but it just wasn't good enough to continue to play. Based on the information we had, he ran the risk of reinjury if he kept playing."

Remember, this originally was a day-to-day injury that kept the Reds from putting India on the injured list for five days after he initially suffered it against the Dodgers. When all is said and done, India will have missed a cumulative four-to-five weeks, assuming there are no additional setbacks.

Biggio (illness) is scheduled to begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Buffalo on Thursday, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.

After clearing all COVID-19-related protocols Monday and resuming workouts, Biggio advanced to facing live pitching Wednesday, as he stepped up to the plate to take a few at-bats against rehabbing lefty Ryan Borucki (finger). According to Keegan Matheson of MLB.com Biggio is expected to remain with Buffalo at least for the duration of the Blue Jays' weekend road trip in Cleveland, so he's unlikely to be activated from the COVID-19 injured list until next week.

The Astros announced that Altuve was removed from Wednesday's game against the Mariners in the top of the fifth inning with right groin soreness, Julia Morales of AT&T SportsNet Southwest reports. He went 1-for-2 with a walk and two runs before departing.

The injury occurred when Altuve fouled a ball off his groin region during his fourth-inning plate appearance. Though he appeared to be in pain when the play occurred, he stayed in the game and proceeded to record a base hit before coming around to score. Though Altuve appears to have avoided a major injury, the fact that he returned earlier this week from a stint on the injured list due to a hamstring issue means the Astros could take some extra caution with him.

Torres is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game in Toronto, Pete Caldera of The Bergen Record reports.

With DJ LeMahieu reclaiming duties at second base following a one-day respite, Torres will bow out of the starting nine in the series finale. Torres started in each of the Yankees' previous five games, going 5-for-19 with two home runs, an additional run and six RBI during that stretch.

Altuve was lifted from Wednesday's game against the Mariners in the top of the fifth inning after he fouled a ball off his groin area in his plate appearance a half-inning earlier, Danielle Lerner of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Altuve was in pain after the play in question, but he was able to remain in the game and complete the plate appearance, which culminated in a base hit. He came around to score his second run of the day, but the Astros apparently weren't comfortable keeping him in the game defensively. Niko Goodrum entered the game at second base as a replacement for Altuve, who can be viewed as day-to-day heading into Thursday's series opener with the Tigers.

Arroyo (calf) will start in right field and bat ninth Wednesday against the Angels, Bill Koch of The Providence Journal reports.

Arroyo is starting for the first time since experiencing left calf tightness coming out of Saturday's 2-1 loss to Baltimore. He had been available off the bench for both of Boston's last two games, but he went unused. Arroyo will be filling in right field for the lefty-hitting Jackie Bradley, who gets the day off with the Angels bringing southpaw Reid Detmers to the hill.

Andrus is out of the lineup Wednesday against the Rays, Matt Kawahara of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Andrus will take a seat Wednesday after starting each of the Athletics' last seven games, producing just three hits in 24 at-bats during those contests. Kevin Smith will slide over to shortstop and bat eighth as the team takes on Corey Kluber and the Rays.
