The White Sox optioned Mendick to Triple-A Charlotte on Monday, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.

Mendick and reliever Anderson Severino were the casualties as the White Sox needed to reduce their active roster from 28 to 26 men prior to Monday's deadline. The 28-year-old utility man started three straight games from April 24 through 27, but he went unused off the bench in each of Chicago's four games that followed.

Rodgers went 2-for-4 with a double, four RBI and a run scored Sunday against the Reds.

Rodgers returned from a four-game absence caused by a back injury and reclaimed his starting role at second base. He began the performance with an RBI single in the first inning, and one frame later he delivered a bases-clearing double. The effort marked the first time Rodgers tallied multiple hits in a game in 2022, and the double was only his second extra-base hit of the campaign. Rodgers has gotten off to a disastrous start to the season by posting a .109/194/.145 line, but Sunday's performance was an encouraging sign that he can get on track at the plate.

Rojas (oblique) will soon begin a rehab assignment and is expected back in the majors during Arizona's upcoming homestand, Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic reports.

Arizona manager Torey Lovullo said Rojas, who has been getting at-bats in extended spring training games, will play for "one or maybe two games" at Triple-A Reno. The rehab assignment likely rules out a return while the Diamondbacks finish a road trip in Miami, but Rojas could make his season debut at some point during the nine-game homestand that begins Friday against Colorado. He played seven innings at shortstop Saturday, but that was to ensure he's comfortable moving around the infield if needed. Lovullo indicated Rojas will see most of his innings at third base.

Ibanez batted seventh and went 1-for-3 with a walk, a stolen base and a run scored in Sunday's 7-3 win over Atlanta.

Ibanez started at designated hitter while Charlie Culberson served as the third baseman against a left-hander. Ibanez has hit safely in six consecutive games to go with his second stolen base in as many contests.

Arraez and the Twins avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $2.13 million contract Sunday, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.

After a hot start to the season, Arraez has been in a slump recently, as he's gone 1-for-15 over the last four games. However, the 25-year-old won't require an arbiter to reach an agreement with Minnesota. In spite of his recent cold spell at the plate, Arraez is hitting .299 with a homer, seven RBI and six runs over 21 games in 2022.

Stefanic, who hadn't played at Triple-A Salt Lake since April 21 due to an unspecified injury, returned to the lineup for Sunday's 9-4 loss to Round Rock. He started at second base and went 0-for-2 with two walks.

Stefanic doesn't possess a spot on the Angels' 40-man roster, but since he's not a young prospect at 26 years old, the organization likely won't hesitate to promote him if his performance at Triple-A warrants a call-up. He's turned in a .781 OPS through his first 14 games, making him a solidly above-average contributor in the Pacific Coast League.

Urias (quadriceps) served as a designated hitter and went 0-for-3 while reaching base on a hit by pitch during his rehab game Sunday with Double-A Biloxi.

Urias has now appeared in seven games at Biloxi, recording only four hits but reaching base eight times in total across 31 plate appearances. He's also seen plenty of time in the field during the rehab assignment, so unless he experienced some sort of setback in his recovery from the left quad injury Sunday, he should return from the 10-day injured list and make his season debut for the Brewers on Tuesday against the Reds. Once activated, Urias should take on a full-time role at third base, where Jace Peterson and Mike Brosseau had been working in a platoon capacity through the first three-plus weeks of the season.

Houston general manager James Click confirmed that Altuve (hamstring) will likely be activated from the 10-day injured list ahead of Monday's game against the Mariners, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports. "All indications are we should be good to go," Click said.

Altuve made what was likely his second and final rehab appearance at Triple-A Sugar Land on Saturday, playing eight innings at second base while going 1-for-3 with a double, a walk and a run scored. Assuming Altuve reports no setbacks with his hamstring when he returns to Houston for re-evaluation, he'll likely be plugged back in as the Astros' everyday second baseman and leadoff hitter as the team prepares for a seven-game week.

Trejo was optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque on Sunday, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.

Trejo mainly operated as a depth option for the Rockies early in the season, but he recently drew four consecutive starts. He appeared in 10 games and hit .257 with a homer, a double, six runs and six RBI, but he'll be demoted since Colorado will activate Garrett Hampson (hand) from the 10-day injured list Tuesday.

Polanco went 4-for-5 with two doubles, four RBI and a run scored during Sunday's 9-3 win over the Rays.

Polanco entered the contest with only two hits over his previous five games, but he erupted for four hits to power Minnesota's offense during the series finale in Tampa Bay. It's been a slow start to 2022 for the 28-year-old, and he now has a .195/.303/.338 slash line with two home runs, 12 RBI and nine runs through 21 games.
