Merrifield went 2-for-5 with a solo home run, an additional run and a stolen base in Monday's loss to the Diamondbacks.

Merrifield kicked things off for the Kansas City offense with a leadoff homer in the first inning, one of three long balls the team hit in the frame. He scored another run in the second inning after singling, stealing second and coming around on an error. After a brutal start to the campaign, Merrifield is batting .350 (21-for-60) over his past 14 games, adding three homers, 11 RBI, four stolen bases and 15 runs over that span.

Clement is 3-for-10 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored across eight games in May.

With the Guardians' infield fully healthy, there hasn't been much of an opportunity for Clement to start. He'll likely see most of his limited playing time at second base if Owen Miller's hitting form starts to slip, but it's unlikely Clement sees much more than a bench role in the immediate future. Clement has a .204/.283/.259 slash line with three doubles, seven runs scored and three RBI through 61 plate appearances.

McNeil went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run, a walk, three total runs and a stolen base in a 13-3 victory versus the Giants on Monday.

McNeil notched his first hit of the contest in the sixth inning, singling to lead off the frame and swiping a bag before coming around to score. He added a pair of RBI in the eighth with a 408-foot shot to right field. That was just his second long ball of the season, with his previous homer coming in the second game of the season against Washington.

Hoerner (ankle) fielded grounders prior to Monday's game against the Reds, Maddie Lee of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Hoerner has been on the injured list for just over 10 days due to a right ankle sprain, but he's recently been participating in baseball activities. Manager David Ross said Monday that the 25-year-old is close to returning, so it's possible the infielder will be activated within the next few days.

Kim will sit Monday against Milwaukee.

Kim has taken over an everyday role in the absence of Fernando Tatis Jr. (wrist), as his off day is his first since late April. He's swinging a much better bat than he did in his rookie season, though his .222/.313/.402 slash line is still nothing special. Jake Cronenworth slides to shortstop Monday, with Robinson Cano starting at second base.

Chavis is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Rockies.

Thanks to the Pirates facing a lefty-heavy slate of pitching along with Daniel Vogelbach (lower body) missing the entire weekend series with the Cardinals, Chavis picked up starts out of the infield in each of the team's last six games. He recorded at least one hit in each of those contests, going 10-for-21 with a home run and two doubles. With Vogelbach back in action Monday and a right-hander (Chad Kuhl) on the hill for Colorado, Chavis will step out of the lineup, but he could have a case for earning more work if he continues to swing a hot bat.

Rojas (hand) isn't starting Monday against the Royals.

Rojas sustained a bruised left hand in Saturday's win over the Cubs and will be held out of the lineup for a second straight game, even with right-hander Zack Greinke on the mound for Kansas City on Monday. Drew Ellis will remain at the hot corner and bat eighth.

Frazier went 3-for-5 with an RBI single and a two-run home run in an extra-inning loss to the Red Sox on Sunday.

Frazier erased a 2-0 deficit in the sixth inning with a 321-foot shot to right field, and he subsequently added an RBI single that snapped a 3-3 tie in the 10th inning. While the Mariners went on to blow that lead via a Franchy Cordero grand slam in the home half of the frame for the team's latest excruciating loss, Frazier snapped a brief 0-for-14 slump with his spectacular showing, which also marked his first multi-RBI tally since April 27.

Stott is out of the lineup for Monday's game in Atlanta.

Stott made four starts during the Phillies' recent six-game homestand but didn't take advantage of the opportunity, going 1-for-9 to bring his season-long slash line to .131/.185/.148. The rookie will stick around with the big club while Didi Gregorius (knee) is on the shelf, but Johan Camargo may still be ahead of Stott in the pecking order for playing time at shortstop.

Kim went 2-for-5 with a double, run and RBI in Sunday's 10-1 win over the Giants.

Kim was able to beat out prospect CJ Abrams for the top shortstop job just under two weeks ago after the latter was demoted to Triple-A El Paso, but Kim has since cooled off at the plate. Even after Sunday's two-hit effort, Kim is slashing .219/.235/.313 over his last eight games. Kim doesn't look to be in imminent danger of losing the everyday job to Abrams or anyone else in the near future, but the 26-year-old is expected to transition back into a utility role whenever Fernando Tatis (wrist) is cleared to return from the 60-day injured list.
