Guillorme is out of the lineup for the first game of Monday's doubleheader with Atlanta.

The lefty-hitting Guillorme will be on the bench for a second straight game after he was out of the lineup during Sunday's 5-2 loss to the Nationals while southpaw Patrick Corbin took the hill for Washington. Though Jeff McNeil (hamstring) won't start in Game 1, he was reinstated from the injured list Monday and is expected to take hold of an everyday job in the infield. Guillorme will likely shift into a utility role as a result.

Manager Luis Rojas said that McNeil (hamstring) was activated from the injured list Monday, as expected, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.

McNeil wound up missing over a month with a hamstring strain. He'd been having a down season prior to the injury, hitting just .242/.336/.374 in 32 games, though he'd been starting to turn things around right before he got hurt, posting an .850 OPS over his last 11 games. He should be an everyday player going forward, though he won't be asked to start two games in one day immediately upon his return. He'll be on the bench for the first half of Monday's doubleheader against Atlanta, but he should be in the lineup for the nightcap.

Lopez went 3-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored in Sunday's 7-3 win over Boston.

The infielder has found a groove, going 10-for-17 (.588) across his last five games. Lopez is now slashing .260/.350/.329 with seven stolen bases, 12 RBI and 29 runs scored through 205 plate appearances this year. Adalberto Mondesi left Sunday's game with a side injury -- if he's forced to miss time, Lopez would likely pick up playing time at shortstop.

Arraez went 3-for-5 with a run scored in Sunday's 4-2 win over Texas.

He's gone 7-for-20 (.350) with a triple, one RBI and three runs scored in six games since he returned from a shoulder injury. Arraez has added virtually no power or speed this year -- he has one home run and he's 0-for-1 in stolen base attempts. The utility man is slashing .283/.359/.346 with 15 RBI and 23 runs scored across 184 plate appearances. His defensive versatility should give him a consistent role even when Josh Donaldson (calf) is back in action.

Albies went 1-for-3 with a stolen base in a 9-1 loss to St. Louis in Game 1 of Sunday's doubleheader.

Albies hit a single in the fourth inning, then stole second. His dart to the keystone bought Freddie Freeman enough time to steal home for Atlanta's lone run in the loss. Albies is up to a .255/.323/.490 slash line with 10 home runs, seven steals, 43 RBI and 40 runs scored through 288 plate appearances.

Marte went 3-for-4 with two doubles, three runs, two RBI and a walk in Sunday's 9-8 loss to the Dodgers.

Marte doubled and scored in both the fourth and sixth innings and came up twice in the eighth, walking and recording a two-RBI single. This was his fifth straight game with a hit. Although he has only four home runs, Marte's batting a robust .357 with a .404 on-base percentage.

Merrifield went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run and an additional run scored in Sunday's win over the Red Sox.

Merrifield blasted his sixth homer of the season during the sixth inning off reliever Yacksel Rios, and that means he's now hit safely in seven straight games while posting five multi-hit performances during that stretch. In fact, Merrifield has hit safely in all but two of Kansas City's games this month and is hitting an impressive .337 during June.

The Cubs are hopeful that Hoerner (hamstring) will be ready to begin a minor-league rehab assignment in 7-to-10 days, Tony Andracki of Marquee Sports Network reports.

Hoerner has been able to complete full pregame workouts in recent days, leaving the Cubs optimistic about where he stands in his recovery from a strained left hamstring. He'll continue to build up during the current week before the Cubs map out a schedule of minor-league games for him to play. The 24-year-old would appear to have an outside chance of making it back from the 10-day injured list before the end of the month, but an early July return appears more realistic.

Hernandez went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run, a double and a walk in Sunday's loss against the Royals.

Hernandez socked his sixth homer of the season off Mike Minor in the second inning, and he was Boston's biggest source of offense in a game during which the team just couldn't take advantage of their opportunities. The former Dodgers utility man is hitting only .233 on the season but might be on the rise after hitting safely in four of his last five games.

Arroyo (lower leg) underwent X-rays on his right leg that revealed no structural damage Sunday, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.

Arroyo suffered a bone bruise on his right shin when he collided with teammate Enrique Hernandez in the fifth inning Sunday, and he needed to be helped off the field. While the 26-year-old is sore, manager Alex Cora sounded optimistic about the infielder after the game, so he should be considered day-to-day for now.
