  • Red Sox's Anthony Seigler: Replaces injured Mead at 2B

Seigler came off the bench in the fifth inning of Monday's 4-2 win over the Athletics and went 0-for-2. Curtis Mead (wrist) in the fifth inning of Monday's 4-2 win over the Athletics. The former went 0-for-2.

Seigler entered the contest as a replacement for the newly acquired Curtis Mead, who was making his team debut. After he was plunked on the wrist by a pitch in the top of the fourth inning, Mead stayed in the game for the bottom half of the frame before Seigler substituted in for him. Mead was diagnosed with a bruised wrist following his early exit, and while he appears to have avoided a serious injury, the Red Sox could still turn to Seigler to make a start at second base Tuesday.

  • Vaughn Grissom 2B | LAA

Angels' Vaughn Grissom: Homers in three-hit effort

Grissom went 3-for-5 with a solo home run and an additional RBI in Monday's 6-4 loss to Houston.

Grissom poked an RBI single into right field in the first inning before clobbering a solo homer to left-center field in the third frame. He added another single in the fifth inning, marking the infielder's fourth game with at least three hits this season. The 25-year-old has heated up with an .878 OPS in July, bringing his season slash line to .259/.325/.411 with seven homers, 43 RBI and 26 runs scored across 66 contests.

  • Nico Hoerner 2B | CHC

Cubs' Nico Hoerner: Plates four runs in victory

Hoerner went 4-for-5 with a home run, two total runs and four total RBI on Monday in a 7-3 win against St. Louis.

Hoerner's RBI came on a two-run single in the fifth inning and a two-run homer in the ninth. The veteran infielder continued what has been a scorching second half so far -- over 10 games since the All-Star break, he's batting .432 (19-for-44), with two four-hit performances during that span. Though his homer Monday was just his second extra-base hit among the 19 knocks, he's plated 10 runs across that 10-game stretch.

  • Yankees' Jazz Chisholm: Posts big line in victory

Chisholm went 2-for-4 with a double, two runs, two RBI and two stolen bases in Monday's 9-5 win over the White Sox.

Chisholm's biggest contribution was a two-run double in the fourth inning that tied the score 3-3. The speedy infielder further beefed up his line with a pair of stolen bases to boost his total to 29 thefts on the campaign, third-most in the majors. That puts Chisholm one steal away from a third consecutive 30-SB season, and he has a legitimate chance of reaching the career-high 40 regular-season thefts he recorded in 2024.

  • Ozzie Albies 2B | ATL

Braves' Ozzie Albies: Knocks in team's three runs Monday

Albies went 2-for-4 with a home run and three total RBI in a loss to the Mets on Monday.

Albies gave Atlanta an early lead with an RBI single in the first inning. He then tied the score at 3-3 with a two-run homer in the fourth, but New York went on to score the final 11 runs of the contest. Albies has flexed his power of late, launching four long balls over his past eight games. He's having a resurgent season with 18 home runs, 60 RBI and a .754 OPS through 106 contests after finishing with a career-worst .671 OPS across 157 regular-season games last year.

  • Marcus Semien 2B | NYM

Mets' Marcus Semien: Goes deep for second straight game

Semien went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run and a walk and scored two additional runs in Monday's 14-3 win against Atlanta.

Semien's blast was a 424-foot, two-run shot in the sixth inning that broke a 3-3 tie. It was his second homer in as many games and his third over his past five contests. Semien also logged his first multi-hit performance over his past 13 games, snapping what had been an ugly 4-for-43 stretch at the plate. He's batting just .214 on the campaign, but with 12 homers through 88 contests, Semien is only three shy of the 15 long balls he swatted across 127 regular-season contests last year.

  • Brandon Lowe 2B | PIT

Pirates' Brandon Lowe: Plays hero in extra-inning win

Lowe went 3-for-5 with a double and two RBI during the Pirates' 3-2 extra-inning win over the Diamondbacks on Monday.

Monday's game was a low-scoring affair, but Lowe put the Pirates on the board with an RBI single in the sixth inning before sending fans home happy with a walk-off RBI single in the 10th. He's tallied three hits in back-to-back games and six times this season, and it was also his 16th multi-RBI game of the year. Lowe is slashing .251/.319/.478 with one steal, 21 home runs and 67 RBI over 436 plate appearances this season.

  • Zach McKinstry 2B | DET

Tigers' Zach McKinstry: Triples, reaches three times Monday

McKinstry went 2-for-3 with a walk, a triple, an RBI and a run scored in Monday's 8-5 loss to the Orioles.

McKinstry is struggling overall with a .206 batting average and .594 OPS this season, though he's been better since the start of June. While the veteran utility player feels unlikely to match last year's career best totals of 12 home runs and 19 stolen bases, he is at least seeing regular playing time. McKinstry is known for moving around defensively, though he may focus primarily on right field in the short term with Wenceel Perez (orbital) and Kerry Carpenter (foot) both on the injured list.

  • Hao Yu Lee 2B | DET

Tigers' Hao-Yu Lee: Extends hitting streak to 12 games

Lee went 1-for-3 with two RBI during the Tigers' 8-5 loss to the Orioles on Monday.

Lee got the Tigers on the board with a sacrifice fly in the second inning before driving in another run on an infield single in the fourth. That single extended Lee's hitting streak to 12 games, which is currently the longest in the majors. In that span, he has gone 15-for-40 (.375) with two home runs, four doubles and 10 RBI.

  • Pedro Ramirez 2B | CHC

Cubs' Pedro Ramirez: Taking seat Monday

Ramirez is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Cardinals.

Though he'll cede his spot to Miguel Amaya on Monday, Ramirez appears to be emerging as a regular in the Chicago lineup. He had started in six of the Cubs' previous eight contests, going 11-for-25 with four doubles, two walks, one stolen base, six RBI and five runs during that stretch.
