  • Brice Turang 2B | MIL

Brewers' Brice Turang: Swipes bag in win

Turang went 1-for-2 with a run scored and a stolen base in Thursday's victory over the Marlins.

Turang stole second base after reaching on an infield single in the seventh inning and was then driven home on a Tyrone Taylor double to put the Brewers up 4-2. It was the second baseman's fifth steal this month and the fourth in his last five starts. However, he's still batting just .243 in September with four RBI and five runs scored, while his last home run came back on Aug. 7.

  • Twins' Kyle Farmer: Swats two-run homer

Farmer went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run and an additional run against the White Sox in a 10-2 win Thursday.

Farmer's blast in the seventh inning gave the Twins a 6-0 lead and marked the end of Chicago starter Jose Urena's outing. It was the second straight game with a long ball for Farmer, marking the second time he has gone deep in back-to-back contests this season. Farmer is slashing .254/.311/.424 with 11 home runs, 36 RBI, 42 runs and one stolen base across 106 contests on the campaign.

  • Edouard Julien 2B | COL

Twins' Edouard Julien: Goes deep in victory

Julien went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk Thursday in a 10-2 victory versus the White Sox.

Julien and Royce Lewis provided the Twins with some rookie power in the fourth frame, with each of the young stars producing a solo shot. Like Lewis, Julien is up to 13 homers on the campaign, and he's gone deep twice in his past three contests. Overall, Julien is slashing a solid .270/.382/.460 with 27 RBI, 51 runs and three thefts across 347 appearances in what has been a strong first big-league season.

  • Luis Rengifo 2B | MIL

Angels' Luis Rengifo: Moved to 60-day IL

The Angels transferred Rengifo (biceps) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day injured list Thursday.

This is simply a procedural move, as Rengifo had already been ruled out for the remainder of the 2023 season after suffering a ruptured left biceps tendon last week. The 26-year-old posted a .783 OPS with 16 homers, 51 RBI, six steals and 55 runs scored across 126 games this year.

  • Vidal Brujan 2B | NYM

Rays' Vidal Brujan: Sent back to Durham

Brujan was optioned to Triple-A Durham on Thursday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Manuel Margot (elbow) is coming off the 10-day injured list in a corresponding roster move. Brujan, 25, has put up intriguing offensive numbers throughout the minors, but he holds a career .157/.218/.221 batting line in 272 plate appearances at the big-league level.

  • Ronny Mauricio 2B | NYM

Mets' Ronny Mauricio: Out again with illness

Mauricio (illness) remains out of the lineup Thursday against the Diamondbacks, Abbey Mastracco of the New York Daily News reports.

He should be available off the bench, however, after fully sitting out of the Mets' win over the Diamondbacks on Wednesday. Mauricio, 22, has batted .306/.342/.444 with one homer and four steals through 10 major-league games since his Sept. 1 call-up.

  • Andres Gimenez 2B | TOR

Guardians' Andres Gimenez: Keeps running Wednesday

Gimenez went 1-for-5 with a stolen base and a run scored in Wednesday's 6-5 extra-inning loss to the Giants.

Gimenez has quietly had a strong September, batting .318 (14-for-44) with six stolen bases over 12 contests. The second baseman's power has been largely absent this month -- he has just two extra-base hits, both doubles. For the season, he's at a .242/.310/.378 slash line with 28 thefts, 12 home runs, 51 RBI and 65 runs scored over 140 contests in a near-everyday role.

  • Kolten Wong 2B | BAL

Dodgers' Kolten Wong: Homers off bench Wednesday

Wong went hit a solo home run in his only at-bat in Wednesday's 6-1 loss to the Padres.

Wong didn't start the game, but the Dodgers subbed out Mookie Betts late in the game. Wong ended up getting an at-bat in the ninth inning and broke up the Padres' shutout with his solo shot, his second homer and third hit over eight games with the Dodgers. The second baseman is at a .170/.245/.257 slash line with four homers, 24 RBI, 23 runs scored and three stolen bases over 229 plate appearances between the Dodgers and the Mariners this season.

  • Royals' Michael Massey: Homers again Wednesday

Massey went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's 7-1 win over the White Sox.

Massey has homered three times over his last six games, driving in seven runs in that span. The second baseman has also collected just one other hit over that stretch while striking out eight times. He's up to 13 long balls, 51 RBI, 38 runs scored, six stolen bases and a .222/.268/.371 slash line through 116 contests this season. With the Royals in prospect evaluation mode, he may not see a full-time role for the remainder of the season, as Nick Loftin has also seen time at the keystone.

  • Nico Hoerner 2B | CHC

Cubs' Nico Hoerner: Tallies four hits in loss

Hoerner went 4-for-5 with a run scored in Wednesday's 7-3 loss to the Rockies. He also stole one base in two attempts.

All four of Hoerner's hits were singles, and despite reaching four times, he only came around to score once. He did, however, record his 40th stolen base of the year in 47 attempts. The steals have been the infielder's biggest source of fantasy value, and he's now doubled his total from 2022. Hoerner should keep running frequently as the Cubs try to chase down a playoff spot in the final weeks of the season.
