  • Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE

Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Logs 35th steal

Ramirez went 1-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in Friday's 3-1 win over the Dodgers.

Ramirez's steal was his 35th of the year, setting a new personal best for the third baseman. He had been caught stealing in each of the previous two games, but that hasn't dampened his willingness to run. He's now at a .273/.331/.522 slash line with 34 home runs, 106 RBI, 101 runs scored, 31 doubles and one triple over 138 contests in what's been one of his most productive seasons.

  • Addison Barger 3B | TOR

Blue Jays' Addison Barger: Available off bench

Barger (knee) is feeling better and will be available off the bench for Friday's game against Atlanta, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.

A knee issue has kept Barger sidelined since Tuesday, but he seems to be trending in the right direction. While his overall numbers this season remain underwhelming, Barger has an .827 OPS and seven homers in 30 games since his return to the majors in late July. He should see regular starts for Toronto when healthy.

  • Paul DeJong 3B | KC

    Royals' Paul DeJong: Sitting Friday

DeJong is not in Friday's lineup against the Twins.

DeJong has seemingly taken over the primary third base duties of late, with Maikel Garcia often manning second base and Michael Massey seeing time at designated hitter. In Friday's lineup, however, DeJong is the odd man out against righty Zebby Matthews.

  • Addison Barger 3B | TOR

Blue Jays' Addison Barger: Still out Friday

Barger (knee) is not in Friday's lineup against Atlanta.

Barger hasn't played since Tuesday due to a knee issue. Ernie Clement is starting at the hot corner and batting fifth.

  • Alex Bregman 3B | HOU

Astros' Alex Bregman: Takes seat Friday

Bregman is not in Friday's lineup against the Diamondbacks.

With Kyle Tucker (shin) rejoining the lineup, Bregman will get a day off as Mauricio Dubon handles the hot corner. Bregman returned Wednesday after missing four games with an elbow injury, and perhaps he will still need the occasional maintenance day down the stretch.

  • Ramon Urias 3B | BAL

Orioles' Ramon Urias: Nearing baseball activities

Urias (ankle) is progressing and said Friday that he's confident he'll play again before the end of the season, Rich Dubroff of BaltimoreBaseball.com reports.

He hasn't resumed baseball activities yet, but that could happen soon, per Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com. Urias sprained his right ankle Aug. 31. The Orioles have been using a mix of Coby Mayo, Emmanuel Rivera and Nick Maton at the hot corner in Urias' absence.

  • Miguel Vargas 3B | CHW

White Sox's Miguel Vargas: Still out Friday

Vargas (eye) is not in Friday's lineup against the Red Sox.

Vargas has not played since exiting Tuesday's game with a right eye abrasion suffered during a collision in the field. Lenyn Sosa will start at third base while batting seventh.

  • Coby Mayo 3B | BAL

Orioles' Coby Mayo: Sitting out opener

Mayo is not in Friday's lineup against the Rays.

Since Ramon Urias sprained his ankle Aug. 31, Mayo has made two starts at third base, with Emmanuel Rivera also getting two starts at the hot corner. Nick Maton is picking up his first start at third base for the Orioles on Friday, so the position appears to be a full-on timeshare.

  • Rays' Junior Caminero: Knocks in two

Caminero went 1-for-4 with two RBI on Thursday against the Twins.

Caminero has started 20 of 21 games since being recalled Aug. 13. He's had a strong showing, maintaining a 10.1 percent walk rate and a 22.2 percent strikeout rate with a .263 batting average. Caminero has also shown some decent pop, collecting seven extra-base hits across 90 plate appearances.

  • Jace Jung 3B | DET

Tigers' Jace Jung: On bench Thursday

Jung is not in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Padres.

Jung started in three consecutive games before Thursday's game. In that span, he collected one hit and a walk across 11 plate appearances. Andy Ibanez has the start at third base and is batting second Thursday.
