Rays' Isaac Paredes: Out of lineup

Paredes will not start Saturday's game against Atlanta, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

  • Jace Peterson SS | ARI

Athletics' Jace Peterson: Sits against southpaw

Peterson will hit the bench against lefty James Paxton and the Red Sox on Saturday.

Peterson started against a lefty in Friday's series opener, but Brennan Bernardino was merely an opener in that contest. Peterson owns a career 52 wRC+ against southpaws, so it's no surprise to see him sit against Paxton. Aledmys Diaz will take over at the hot corner.

White Sox's Jake Burger: Knocks 19th homer

Burger went 2-for-2 with a home run, a double, three RBI, two runs scored and two walks in Friday's win over St. Louis.

Ramirez went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in a 6-1 win against Kansas City on Thursday.

Ramirez launched a solo shot to left field in the sixth inning to give Cleveland its first lead of the game. The long ball was his first in what has been a quiet start to July, as he's slashing .217/.333/.391 without a steal so far this month. Ramirez started June off quietly as well, but he picked things up with a .392/.462/.772 slash line, seven homers, 22 RBI and four thefts over his final 20 games of that month.

The outing marked Henderson's first career multi-homer game while also setting a career high in RBI despite him going 0-for-3 in his final three plate appearances. Through 76 games, the second-year infielder is slashing .246/.339/.465 with 13 home runs and five stolen bases but is striking out at a 30.8 percent clip.

  • Taylor Walls 3B | TB

Rays' Taylor Walls: Swipes two bags

Walls went 0-for-3 with a walk and two steals in Thursday's 3-1 loss against the Phillies.

Walls continued to run all over the Phillies, racking up his second and third stolen bases of the series Thursday. The pair of swipes pushed him to 20 on the season, the ninth most in baseball. Though he's managed to produce in the steal column lately, Walls is going through a mini-slump, having gone hitless in each of his last four games (10 at-bats).
