Taylor Walls 3B | TB
Rays' Taylor Walls: Not starting Monday
Walls will be on the bench Monday against the Yankees, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Walls hits the bench after starting 13 games at shortstop. He struggled to a .451 OPS over that stretch, though that wasn't much worse than the .490 OPS he'd managed up to that point. Vidal Brujan will be the shortstop Monday.

Josh Donaldson 3B | MIL
Yankees' Josh Donaldson: Swats homer Sunday
Donaldson went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's loss to Toronto.
The Yankees hit five homers in the contest, though Donaldson's two-run, third-inning shot was the only one that wasn't of the solo variety. The blast snapped Donaldson's 17-game stretch without a long ball and was his sixth overall this season. The veteran hit 26 home runs with Minnesota last season but is well below that pace through 49 contests with New York in 2022.

Jeimer Candelario 3B | LAA
Tigers' Jeimer Candelario: Back from injured list
Candelario (shoulder) was activated off the injured list as expected Monday.
Candelario wound up missing two weeks with a left shoulder subluxation, but he's good to go after grabbing six hits (including two doubles and a homer) across four rehab games. The Tigers will hope to see more performances like that going forward and fewer of the games which saw him slump to a .181/.236/.319 line prior to the injury.

Jeimer Candelario 3B | LAA
Tigers' Jeimer Candelario: Should return Monday
Candelario (shoulder) is expected to be activated from the 10-day injured list ahead of Monday's game at Boston, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.
Candelario has been sidelined with a left shoulder subluxation since June 5, but he's ready to rejoin the Tigers after going 6-for-16 with a home run and two doubles during a four-game rehab stint with Triple-A Toledo. The 28-year-old has an awful .555 OPS through 52 games this season, but perhaps he'll reward patient fantasy managers and continue the strong performance from the rehab assignment upon his return to the big-league club.

Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA
White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Remains out Sunday
Moncada (hamstring) isn't in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Astros.
Moncada suffered an injury to his right hamstring Friday and sat out Saturday while undergoing an MRI, though the imaging results have yet to be disclosed. The 27-year-old should continue to be considered day-to-day until the team updates his status, while Jake Burger receives another start at the hot corner for Chicago.

Matt Duffy 3B | TEX
Angels' Matt Duffy: Takes seat Sunday
Duffy is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mariners, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
Duffy started the past five games and will take a seat after going 3-for-20 with an RBI, a run and five strikeouts. The 31-year-old should continue to see increased playing time with Anthony Rendon (wrist) out for the season, though Tyler Wade, who is starting at third base Sunday, could take on a larger role should Duffy's offensive struggles persist.

Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE
Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Remains on bench Sunday
Ramirez (thumb) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Dodgers.
Ramirez was withheld from Saturday's starting nine due to soreness in his right thumb, and he'll be out of the lineup for a second consecutive game Sunday. The Guardians have a scheduled day off Monday, so the 30-year-old will have an extra day to recover ahead of Tuesday's series opener in Minnesota. According to Mandy Bell of MLB.com, Ramirez underwent a precautionary MRI on Sunday, though the team has yet to receive the results. Ernie Clement will man the hot corner in his absence.

Isaac Paredes 3B | HOU
Rays' Isaac Paredes: Goes to bench Sunday
Paredes is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Orioles, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Paredes started in four of the Rays' past five games while playing three different positions, but he'll shift back to the bench for the series finale. The righty-hitting Paredes will likely see most of his playing time versus left-handed pitching moving forward.

Anthony Rendon 3B | LAA
Angels' Anthony Rendon: To 60-day IL
Rendon (wrist) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Saturday.
Rendon is out for the year after needing wrist surgery. First baseman David MacKinnon's contract was selected from Triple-A in a corresponding move.

Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE
Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Battling sore thumb
Ramirez's absence from the lineup for Saturday's game against the Dodgers is due to right thumb soreness, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports.
Ramirez originally jammed his thumb approximately 10 days ago, and the issue got worse on a swing Friday. He won't be available Saturday but will be checked out Sunday, though the Guardians have an off day Monday and could elect to keep him on the bench for Sunday's series finale in order to secure three consecutive days of rest for their star hitter.
