Yankees' Gio Urshela: Crosses home twice in win

Urshela went 2-for-5 with a double, RBI and a pair of runs Sunday in the Yankees' 10-3 win over the White Sox.

With Didi Gregorius getting the day off, Urshela checked into the lineup at third base while Gleyber Torres shifted over to shortstop. Gregorius should be subjected to fewer off days as he regains conditioning following his long layoff from Tommy John surgery, which could relegate Urshela to the bench more frequently. Urshela has already noticed a downturn in playing time lately, as he sat out two of the four games in Chicago.

  • DJ LeMahieu 2B | NYY

Yankees' DJ LeMahieu: Bags two more hits

LeMahieu went 2-for-5 with a run scored Sunday in the Yankees' 10-3 win over the White Sox.

LeMahieu has compiled seven multi-hit games thus far in June, racking up eight runs and nine RBI across 14 starts. Though the Yankees have bolstered their offense with the acquisition of Edwin Encarnacion and will soon get star outfielders Giancarlo Stanton (shoulder) and Aaron Judge (oblique) back from the injured list, LeMahieu's role as the team's everyday leadoff man looks fairly secure.

  • Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA

White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Expected to play Tuesday

Moncada (back) should be ready to return to the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Cubs, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.

Moncada was forced to leave Sunday's matchup with the Yankees due to upper-back tightness, the second time he's had to leave a game in the last week. Luckily, the White Sox benefit from an off day Monday, and skipper Rick Renteria expects his starting third basemen to rejoin the starting nine for the series opener.

  • Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA

White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Exits with upper-back tightness

Moncada was removed from Sunday's game against the Yankees with upper-back tightness, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.

Moncada was held out for the previous four games after suffering the back strain Monday, and he was unable to make it through Sunday's game after being re-inserted into the lineup. The 24-year-old should be considered day-to-day for now, but a trip to the injured list seems possible given he's been battling the back issue for most of the week.

  • Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA

White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Rejoins lineup

Moncada (back) will start at third base and bat sixth Sunday against the Yankees.

Moncada had been sidelined for the previous four games with a strained back but made enough progress in his recovery over the past few days to avoid a trip to the injured list. The White Sox's decision to deploy Moncada in the field rather than at designated hitter suggests the team is comfortable with where he's at on the health front, so fantasy managers who were anxiously awaiting his return to the lineup shouldn't hesitate to activate him.

  • Matt Chapman 3B | SF

Athletics' Matt Chapman: Another pair of hits in win

Chapman went 2-for-4 with an RBI double, a walk and two runs in a win over the Mariners on Saturday.

It was a second consecutive strong performance for Chapman, who'd broken out of a slump Friday with another two-hit effort that included his second triple of the season. Saturday brought another extra-base hit, as well as Chapman's first RBI since June 5. The two-game surge has boosted his June average back over the Mendoza Line to .208, although his overall struggles have resulted in a 14-point tumble for his season average since the start of the month.

  • Alex Bregman 3B | CHC

Astros' Alex Bregman: Bats leadoff Saturday

Bregman went 1-for-3 with a walk and an RBI in Saturday's 7-2 win over the Blue Jays.

Bregman served as Houston's leadoff hitter for a second straight game, as manager AJ Hinch rotates various players in that spot while George Springer (hamstring) is on the injured list. Bregman is a pure hitter who will thrive at any spot in the order and has driven in four runs over the two games. He leads the Astros with 48 RBI.

  • Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA

White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Expected back in lineup Sunday

Moncada (back) could be available off the bench Saturday against the Yankees and is expected to return to the starting lineup for Sunday's contest, Scot Gregor of the Chicago Daily Herald reports.

Moncada hasn't appeared in a game since leaving Monday's contest against the Nationals with a mid-back strain, but it sounds as though that's about to change. Jose Rondon will fill in for him Saturday.

  • Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA

White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Still out Saturday

Moncada (back) remains out of the lineup Saturday against the Yankees.

Moncada hasn't played since leaving Monday's game against the Nationals due to a mid-back strain. He stated Thursday that he was hoping to be back in action Saturday or Sunday, so he still has time to hit that target. Jose Rondon will start again at third base.

  • Matt Chapman 3B | SF

Athletics' Matt Chapman: Rips triple in loss

Chapman went 2-for-3 with a triple, a walk and a run in a loss to the Mariners on Friday.

On a night when the Athletics offense was largely silent, Chapman made some noise with his second triple of the season. The two-hit effort was a much-needed respite from a multi-game slump, as Chapman had gone just 1-for-27 over the previous seven contests.
