  • Twins' Eduardo Escobar: Logs multi-hit performance

Escobar went 3-for-4 with three doubles and one RBI during Sunday's loss to the Indians.

Escobar plated Minnesota's lone run on an RBI double in the first inning. He's put together a seven-game hitting streak, going 12-for-27 with seven extra-base hits and seven RBI over that span. Escobar is slashing .302/.353/.579 with 12 homers and 45 RBI through 65 games this season.

  • Jace Peterson SS | ARI

Orioles' Jace Peterson: Drives in four

Peterson went 2-for-4 with a home run, a double and four RBI during Sunday's tilt with Miami.

Peterson struck in the second inning with a two-run double, followed by a two-run homer in the fifth to extend the lead. Despite collecting four RBI, Peterson is slashing a disappointing .196/.320/.308 with one homer and 15 RBI through 39 games this season.

  • Danny Valencia 3B | BAL

Orioles' Danny Valencia: Heads to bench Sunday

Valencia is out of the lineup Sunday against the Marlins, Eduardo A. Encina of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Valencia will sit for the first time in six games after going 2-for-4 with an RBI in Saturday's 5-4 loss to boost his June batting average to .293. Jace Peterson will man the hot corner in Valencia's stead.

  • Tigers' Jeimer Candelario: Scores twice Saturday

Candelario went 1-for-4 with a walk and two runs scored in Saturday's win over the White Sox.

Candelario has now batted second the past three games, which puts him in front of Nick Castellanos. On Saturday, that was a good thing, as Castellanos belted two home runs and drove in five. If Candelario keeps batting second instead of in the middle of the order, he should get plenty of pitches to hit and could see an uptick in runs scored due to Castellanos' production. However, his RBI totals might take a slight hit.

  • Matt Duffy 3B | TEX

Rays' Matt Duffy: Another homer Saturday

Duffy went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to the Yankees on Saturday.

Duffy blasted a 404-foot shot to left to lead off the ninth against Chasen Shreve. It would turn out to be the only run of the day for the Rays, who were otherwise stymied during another Luis Severino masterpiece. It was Duffy's second round-tripper in three games, doubling his season total. Duffy has enjoyed a stellar month of June overall, as he's hitting .310 with four doubles, a triple, the two homers and five RBI while generating six multi-hit efforts.

  • Alex Bregman 3B | CHC

Astros' Alex Bregman: Knocks another homer Saturday

Bregman went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run, a second run scored and a fourth RBI in Saturday's win over the Royals.

Bregman singled and scored in the first inning before taking Burch Smith deep in the ninth inning for his 10th homer of the season -- and second in as many games. The third baseman has now collected a hit in all but one game this month, a 13-game stretch during which he's slashing .278/.344/.630 with five homers, 15 RBI and 13 runs.

  • Orioles' Manny Machado: Drives in two Saturday

Machado went 2-for-5 with two RBI in Saturday's loss to the Marlins.

Machado put Baltimore on the board with his two-run single in the third inning, but it wouldn't be enough for the Orioles to snap their nine-game losing streak. Despite his .227/.308/.364 line through 12 games this month, Machado is still slashing an impressive .308/.377/.570 with 18 homers and 52 RBI this season.

  • Royce Lewis 3B | MIN

Twins' Royce Lewis: Dealing with minor knee issue

Lewis exited Saturday's minor-league game with a knee injury that is not believed to be serious, Jeff Johnson of The Cedar Rapids Gazette reports.

Lewis has apparently been dealing with the issue recently and aggravated it Saturday. Doctors have already evaluated the 19-year-old and determined there's nothing structurally wrong with his knee. Lewis recently returned to action after missing a couple of games with a leg injury.

  • Matt Chapman 3B | SF

Athletics' Matt Chapman: Heading for further evaluation on hand

Chapman will get further evaluation of his hand injury Monday, Jane Lee of MLB.com reports.

An MRI had previously revealed no structural damage, but Chapman was nevertheless placed on the disabled list Friday. The fact that he's getting further evaluation is potentially a bad sign, though the severity of his injury should become a lot clearer following the visit.

  • Mike Moustakas 3B | CHW

Royals' Mike Moustakas: Drives in three in loss

Moustakas went 1-for-3 with a double, a walk and three RBI in a loss to the Astros on Friday.

Moustakas accounted for all of the Royals' run production Friday, slashing a two-run double -- his 17th two-bagger of the year -- off Charlie Morton in the third inning and later walking with the bases loaded in the fifth. Moustakas is hitting .259/.315/.477 with 13 home runs and 33 runs scored, and his 45 RBI rank third among all MLB third basemen.
