Mark Vientos DH | NYM
Mets' Mark Vientos: Out with ankle injury
Vientos didn't play Monday against the Cardinals after fouling a ball off his right ankle Sunday, MLB.com reports. "Kind of [swelled] up after the game, but he's better today," manager Carlos Mendoza said Monday. "He's a player for us, but I just wanted to give him a day."
The third baseman was still able to go through his normal pregame routine, so the day off appears to be merely precautionary. Vientos is slashing .241/.300/.537 over 15 games since the All-Star break with four homers and nine RBI, but those numbers could improve in a hurry if he returns to the lineup Tuesday, as the Mets begin a three-game series at Coors Field.

Noelvi Marte 3B | CIN
Reds' Noelvi Marte: Goes yard in win
Marte went 1-for-5 with a home run and two RBI in Monday's 10-3 win over the Marlins.
Marte swatted a two-run homer in the fourth inning to give the Reds a 6-0 lead. It was his third home run of the season and first in 10 games. Marte, who entered the game with a .168 average, batted ninth for the second time in three games and has gradually moved down the order from the fifth spot when he first returned from an 80-game suspension in late June.

Matt Chapman 3B | SF
Giants' Matt Chapman: Homers again in win
Chapman went 1-for-4 with a three-run homer in Monday's win against the Nationals.
The Giants third baseman smashed a 409-foot, three-run homer off Patrick Corbin in the third inning to notch his third straight game with a long ball. Chapman has been on fire since the All-Star break, batting .311 (19-for-61) with five homers, five doubles, three steals, 15 runs scored and 11 RBI across 17 games. The two-time Platinum Glover has been a fantasy stalwart this season, slashing .246/.334/.444 while going 12-for-13 in steal attempts with 78 runs scored and 54 RBI over 476 plate appearances.

Cavan Biggio RF | KC
Dodgers' Cavan Biggio: Designated for assignment
Biggio was designated for assignment by the Dodgers on Monday, Eric Stephen of SBNation.com reports.
Biggio appears to be the odd man out on the Dodgers' 40-man roster with Freddie Freeman (personal) being activated from the restricted list Monday. Biggio will now be placed on waivers and if he goes unclaimed, he'll either report to Triple-A Oklahoma City or elect free agency, the latter of which seems more likely. Over 30 games with the Dodgers this season, Biggio has produced a .192 average with three home runs, 10 RBI and 11 runs scored.

Trey Lipscomb 3B | WAS
Nationals' Trey Lipscomb: On bench Monday
Lipscomb is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Giants, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.
Lipscomb will get a chance to clear his head after going 0-for-7 in his last three starts. Ildemaro Vargas will bat eighth and play third base Monday.

Mark Vientos DH | NYM
Mets' Mark Vientos: Getting breather
Vientos is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Cardinals.
After making 12 consecutive starts, Vientos will get the night off Monday. Jose Iglesias will fill in for Vientos at the hot corner and bat sixth.

Emmanuel Rivera 3B | BAL
Marlins' Emmanuel Rivera: On base three times Sunday
Rivera went 2-for-4 with a run scored and a stolen base in Sunday's win over Atlanta.
The 28-year-old has started five of the last six games for the Marlins as he gets a chance to lock down the starting job at third base. Rivera has gone 5-for-20 with his first homer and second steal of the season during that stretch, and while his career .662 OPS in the majors over 947 plate appearances doesn't suggest he has much fantasy upside, he is at least a defensive upgrade at the hot corner on Jake Burger

Alec Bohm 3B | PHI
Phillies' Alec Bohm: Goes deep in win
Bohm went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's win over the Mariners.
Bohm went back-to-back with Bryce Harper during a five-run eighth inning to help the Phillies break away for the win. The home run was his first since July 3 and he now has six RBI over his last four games. Bohm has been one of the one of the most consistent hitters over the course of the season and is currently riding a 22-game on-base streak. For the year, he's slashing .295/.352/.483 with 12 homers, 77 RBI, 50 runs, five steals and a 35:67 BB:K in 466 plate appearances.

Max Muncy 3B | LAD
Dodgers' Max Muncy: Sim game on tap
Muncy (oblique) is scheduled to face live pitching Thursday in a simulated game at Dodger Stadium, MLB.com reports.
Muncy will take part in the sim game along with three of the Dodgers' other rehabbing hitters in Mookie Betts (hand), Tommy Edman (wrist) and Miguel Rojas (forearm). Rojas appears to be the closest of the three to returning from the injured list, while Edman and Betts could be cleared for rehab assignments following Thursday's sim game. Muncy, meanwhile, looks to be further away, given that he's been on the shelf since May 17 with a right oblique strain and had made limited progress in his recovery until recently having a breakthrough when a chiropractor performed a procedure on his body. The Dodgers will wait and see how Muncy comes out of Thursday's sim game before determining his next steps.

Jonah Bride 3B | TEX
Marlins' Jonah Bride: Slugs third homer
Bride went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run and a walk in Sunday's win against Atlanta.
Bride has started the last eight games for Miami since being called up in late July, batting 7-for-29 (.241) with three home runs, seven RBI and three runs scored. Even with the hot streak, the 28-year-old has managed only a .241 average and an ugly 3:12 BB:K, making him hard to trust in a middling Marlins lineup.
