  • Mark Vientos DH | NYM

Mets' Mark Vientos: Receiving Monday off

Vientos is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Marlins.

Jose Iglesias will move over from his usual spot at second base to cover the hot corner in place of Vientos. The 24-year-old had been included in the lineup in each of the Mets' last 12 games, batting .295 with one home run, four RBI and three runs during that stretch.

  • Noelvi Marte 3B | CIN

Reds' Noelvi Marte: Homers in loss

Marte went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 5-2 loss to the Nationals.

Marte put the Reds up early with a second-inning solo homer. It was his second of the season and first in 14 games. After serving an 80-game suspension, Marte is still getting his timing down. He's batting .176 with a .499 OPS and a 32.9 strikeout percentage over 20 games.

  • Jake Burger 3B | TEX

Marlins' Jake Burger: Clubs 12th home run

Burger went 1-for-3 with a solo homer and a walk in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Mets.

Burger took Adrian Houser deep in the seventh inning for his second homer since the All-Star break and his fifth already in the month of July. Burger has been heating up at the dish, with six of his 12 homers this season coming over his last 18 games, and he's hitting .296/.342/.592 over his last 71 at-bats.

  • Matt Chapman 3B | SF

Giants' Matt Chapman: Notches 10th steal

Chapman went 0-for-3 with a walk, a stolen base and a run scored in Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Rockies.

The steal was Chapman's 10th of the year, matching his total from the previous five campaigns combined. He's logged three of those thefts in July despite hitting just .180 (9-for-50) over his first 14 games of the month. The third baseman is slashing .234/.320/.409 with 13 homers, 43 RBI, 65 runs scored and 25 doubles through 96 contests overall.

  • Nolan Arenado 3B | ARI

Cardinals' Nolan Arenado: Lifts ninth homer

Arenado went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a 3-2 loss to Atlanta in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader.

Arenado also went 1-for-4 with a walk and a run scored in the nightcap, a 9-5 win for St. Louis. The third baseman continues to hit well in July -- he's batting .310 over 15 contests, though just three of his 18 hits this month have gone for extra bases. Overall, he's at a .270/.323/.386 slash line with nine homers, 41 RBI, 39 runs scored, one stolen base and 14 doubles through 92 games.

  • Gino Groover 3B | ARI

Diamondbacks' Gino Groover: Returns from 60-day IL

High-A Hillsboro reinstated Groover (wrist) from its 60-day injured list Friday.

Groover has played in both of Hillsboro's first two games out of the All-Star break, going 2-for-9 with a double and a walk to bring his slash line to .320/.393/.360 through his first seven contests at the High-A level this season. The 22-year-old third baseman had been on the shelf since April 11 with a broken left wrist that required surgery.

  • Dodgers' Enrique Hernandez: Pivotal in win

Hernandez went 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's extra-innings win over Boston.

Hernandez didn't enter the contest until he was put in to pinch hit for Gavin Lux in the seventh inning, though the former would make his presence felt, launching a leadoff homer in the bottom of the ninth to tie the game at 4-4. The utility man added an RBI single in his third at-bat to tie the game again in extra innings, giving him his first multi-hit performance this month. Hernandez has now homered twice in his last eight at-bats, though his average still sits at just .198 on the season.

  • Jake Burger 3B | TEX

Marlins' Jake Burger: Launches 11th homer

Burger went 2-for-4 with a double, a home run, two runs scored and two RBI in Friday's win over the Mets.

The 28-year-old rapped both his extra-base hits off southpaw Sean Manaea, including a solo shot in the fifth inning. Burger appears to be finding his power stroke in July, slashing .292/.333/.583 over 12 games with four of his 11 homers on the season.

  • Marlins' Emmanuel Rivera: Absent from lineup

Rivera isn't in the Marlins' lineup for Saturday's game against the Mets.

Rivera went 0-for-1 with two walks and a sac fly during Friday's win in the series opener, and he'll now get a chance to rest Saturday. His absence will move Jake Burger to third base while Josh Bell starts at first, opening up the DH role for Bryan De La Cruz with Nick Gordon starting in left field.

  • Max Muncy 3B | LAD

Dodgers' Max Muncy: Taking soft toss swings

Muncy (oblique) took soft toss Thursday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Muncy was shut down from swinging July 6 but has resumed swinging a bat by taking soft toss Thursday. While a firm timetable for return hasn't been established, Muncy has been ruled out until at least August, per manager Dave Roberts. Considering the 33-year-old hasn't played since May, he'll likely require a lengthy rehab assignment before being activated from the injured list.
