Peterson was added to Arizona's roster on Tuesday for its NL Wild Card Series matchup against the Brewers, Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com reports.

Peterson was initially left off the Diamondbacks' roster, but he will be a last-minute replacement for Jake McCarthy (oblique), who injured himself during batting practice Tuesday. Peterson will give the D-backs depth at multiple positions as they look to get past Milwaukee.

Rivera is not in the lineup Tuesday for Game 1 of the NL Wild Card Series against the Brewers.

Evan Longoria will start at third base and bat eighth versus the Brewers and right-hander Corbin Burnes. Rivera had a promising first half this season with Arizona, but the 27-year-old slashed just .146/.234/.164 over his final 64 plate appearances dating back to the beginning of August.

Longoria is starting at third base and batting eighth Tuesday in Game 1 of the NL Wild Card Series against the Brewers.

Longoria and Emmanuel Rivera are Arizona's two options at third base with Jace Peterson being left off the roster for the best-of-three series versus Milwaukee. Longoria gets the call in Tuesday's opener as Rivera rides the pine. Both players struggled offensively over the final month of the regular season.

The Cubs transferred Madrigal (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Sunday, Meghan Montemurro of the Chicago Tribune reports.

After Chicago was officially eliminated from playoff contention Saturday, the team made a slew of roster moves ahead of Sunday's season finale versus the Brewers. Madrigal and Michael Fulmer (forearm) were both transferred to the 60-day IL for procedural reasons, as the moves opened up spots on the 40-man roster for relievers Shane Greene and Tyler Duffey. Madrigal will be activated and added back to the 40-man roster over the offseason and should be fully recovered from his right hamstring strain well in advance of spring training.

Bohm went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional RBI in Sunday's 9-1 win over the Mets.

Bohm reached the 20-homer mark for the first time in his four-year career with a go-ahead solo shot in the sixth inning. He had gone 0-for-17 over his previous four contests. The third baseman ends the regular season with a .274/.327/.437 slash line, 97 RBI, 74 runs scored, four stolen bases and 31 doubles over 145 games.

Hayes is out of the lineup for Sunday's game versus the Marlins.

Hayes went 2-for-5 with two doubles and a run in Saturday's loss to Miami, which will end up being his final start of the year. The 26-year-old took a step forward at the plate in 2023 with 15 homers and a .273/.310/.455 slash line in 124 games.

Batten is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the White Sox.

Batten will sit for the season finale after a run of 17 straight starts, during which he posted a .626 OPS. He's played in 42 games this season and has a .254/.348/.356 slash line with two homers, 11 RBI and 19 runs.

Machado is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the White Sox.

Machado will sit for the second straight game to close out the season for San Diego. If the 31-year-old doesn't make an appearance off the bench, he'll close the 2023 campaign with a .258/.319/.462 slash line, 30 homers, 91 RBI and 75 runs in 138 contests.

Wisdom went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Saturday's win over the Brewers.

Wisdom also struck out twice in the contest, making this game a good representation of what the 32-year-old brings to the plate. He's batting .205 this season and has struck out nearly 37 percent of the time. Wisdom has struck out at least 34 percent of the time each of the last three seasons. His inability to make consistent contact limits his fantasy upside moving forward, as he seems ticketed for a part-time role where he provides some pop but little else.
