Cardinals' Nolan Arenado: Goes yard in win

Arenado went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run, a double and an additional run scored in Wednesday's 5-4 win over the Brewers.

Arenado has posted four multi-hit games in his last six. He's added three homers, seven RBI and five runs in that span while continuing to bat well in the heart of the Cardinals' order. The third baseman is up to 14 long balls, 48 RBI, 33 runs scored, 16 doubles and a .278/.348/.508 slash line through 67 contests this season.

  • Patrick Wisdom 3B | SEA

Cubs' Patrick Wisdom: Homers again Wednesday

Wisdom went 2-for-4 with a home run, two runs scored and four RBI in Wednesday's win over the Pirates.

Wisdom also struck out twice, a reminder of his feast-or-famine profile, but fantasy managers won't complain too much. The third baseman now has home runs in his last two games, giving him a team-high 14 for the season. Wisdom's four RBI also pushed him to 36 for the season, putting him two ahead of Ian Happ for the team lead.

  • Evan Longoria 3B | ARI

Giants' Evan Longoria: Late addition to lineup

Longoria will start at third base and bat sixth Wednesday against Atlanta.

The 36-year-old was poised to receive Wednesday off, but he'll end up joining the lineup after Luis Gonzalez was scratched with lower-back tightness. Longoria is 2-for-18 with five walks, a run and six strikeouts over his past eight contests.

  • Ke'Bryan Hayes 3B | CIN

Pirates' Ke'Bryan Hayes: Receives rest day

Hayes is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cubs.

He'll sit for the first time since getting a breather in the second half of a doubleheader with the Cardinals on June 14, ending a streak of six straight starts. With Hayes on the bench, Hoy Park will cover third base, while rookie shortstop Oneil Cruz gets a look in the leadoff role.

  • Evan Longoria 3B | ARI

    Giants' Evan Longoria: Sitting Wednesday

Longoria will sit Wednesday against Atlanta.

Longoria will get a day off after he went 2-for-7 with a run scored in the first two games of the series. Wilmer Flores will get the start at third base and bat third Wednesday.

  • Austin Riley 3B | ATL

Braves' Austin Riley: Takes seat Wednesday

Riley isn't starting Wednesday's game against the Giants.

Riley has been an everyday player for Atlanta this season but will get a breather after he went 4-for-12 with a double, two runs, an RBI, a walk and two strikeouts over the last three games. Orlando Arcia is shifting to third base while Phil Gosselin starts at the keystone.

  • Nick Senzel 3B | LAD

Reds' Nick Senzel: Riding pine Wednesday

Senzel isn't in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Dodgers.

Senzel will get a breather after he went 2-for-17 with two runs, a walk and five strikeouts over the last five games. Albert Almora is starting in center field while Matt Reynolds takes over in right.

  • Mike Moustakas 3B | CHW

Reds' Mike Moustakas: Not starting Wednesday

Moustakas isn't starting Wednesday against the Dodgers.

Moustakas started in the last seven games and hit .280 with a double, three RBI, two runs and a stolen base. However, he'll get a breather while Brandon Drury serves as the designated hitter with Donovan Solano starting at third base.

  • Buddy Kennedy 3B | SEA

Diamondbacks' Buddy Kennedy: Not starting Wednesday

Kennedy (wrist) isn't starting Wednesday against the Padres, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Kennedy was removed from Tuesday's game against San Diego due to left wrist discomfort and isn't in the lineup a day later. It's not yet clear whether he'll be available off the bench.

  • Padres' Manny Machado: Not yet ready to start

Machado (ankle) is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Diamondbacks, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Though the Padres remain optimistic the sprained left ankle Machado sustained in Sunday's loss to the Rockies won't force him to the 10-day injured list, the star third baseman will remain on the bench for the third day in a row. Ha-Seong Kim will once again replace Machado at the hot corner.
