  • Jace Peterson SS | ARI

Brewers' Jace Peterson: Two-run double in win

Peterson went 2-for-4 with a two-run double in Saturday's victory over Cincinnati.

Peterson's two-run double sent Tyrone Taylor and Omar Narvaez home in the sixth and gave the Brewers a 6-1 lead. After a slow start to the year, the third baseman is slashing .286/.345/.510 in June thanks to 14 hits across 16 games. Peterson's season batting average now sits at .235.

  • Ke'Bryan Hayes 3B | CIN

Pirates' Ke'Bryan Hayes: Swipes eighth bag

Hayes went 2-for-5 with a double, a stolen base and two runs scored in a 7-5 loss to the Giants on Saturday.

The Pirates' leadoff man now has eight steals and has been caught stealing three times. He has only two home runs this year but is hitting .275 and is reaching base at a .355 clip. His 28 runs ties him with Bryan Reynolds for the the Pirates' team lead.

  • Nolan Arenado 3B | ARI

Cardinals' Nolan Arenado: Homers, drives in three

Arenado went 2-for-4 with a home run, a walk and three RBI in Saturday's 11-2 rout of the Red Sox.

Arenado kicked off a big offensive day for the Cardinals with a two-run homer to left field in the first inning. He later plated the team's 10th run with a single in the sixth. Arenado has gone deep in each of his past two games following a 25-game cold stretch during which he hit only two long balls and batted a paltry .221.

  • Mets' Eduardo Escobar: Hitless in return

Escobar (impaired vision) went 0-for-3 with a strikeout in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Marlins.

Escobar played the full game, so it appears he's past the headaches and dizziness that kept him out of the last two contests. He didn't do anything to end his skid at the plate, however -- he's 0-for-14 in his last four games, dropping his season slash line to .233/.297/.392 in 259 plate appearances.

  • Ryan McMahon 3B | NYY

Rockies' Ryan McMahon: Ends homer drought

McMahon went 3-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in a 5-4 win over San Diego on Saturday.

McMahon singled in the second, walked in the fourth, singled again in the fifth and smacked the game-winning home run in the eighth to record his first three-hit game of the season. The long ball was the 27-year-old's first since May 16 as he currently sports a .374 slugging that would be the worst mark of his five-year career.

  • Mets' Eduardo Escobar: Back in lineup Saturday

Escobar (impaired vision) is starting Saturday's game against Miami, Deesha Thosar of the New York Daily News reports.

Escobar missed the last two games while dealing with headaches and dizziness, but he'll start at the hot corner and bat seventh during Saturday's matchup. Over the three games prior to his absence, he went 0-for-11 with an RBI, a walk and six strikeouts.

  • Patrick Wisdom 3B | SEA

Cubs' Patrick Wisdom: Not starting Saturday

Wisdom isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against Atlanta, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.

Wisdom started every game over the last month but will get a breather after he went 4-for-16 with a walk and five strikeouts over the last five games. Jonathan Villar is starting at third base while Andrelton Simmons starts at the keystone.

  • Edmundo Sosa LF | PHI

Cardinals' Edmundo Sosa: Lacking playing time

Sosa has started just six of the Cardinals' 17 games in June.

Sosa is mired in an 0-for-14 skid across his last seven games, and he's failed to take hold of a starting role at shortstop. With the emergence of rookies Nolan Gorman and Brendan Donovan, Tommy Edman has been pushed to shortstop against most right-handed pitchers. Sosa's lack of hitting -- he has a .188/.233/.235 slash line in 90 plate appearances -- could also put his spot on the 26-man roster at risk. Paul DeJong has clubbed nine home runs with 29 RBI and 22 runs scored in 31 games since he was sent down to Triple-A Memphis, though he's only batted .228 in that stretch, and his flash of power could eventually see him overtake Sosa again on the organizational depth chart.

  • Nolan Arenado 3B | ARI

Cardinals' Nolan Arenado: Hits 12th homer in loss

Arenado went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Friday's 6-5 loss to the Red Sox.

Arenado hit a game-tying solo shot in the second inning, but the Red Sox later pulled ahead and the Cardinals' comeback fell short. Through 15 games in June, the third baseman has gone 17-for-58 (.293) with three homers, 10 RBI and nine runs. He's been fairly steady all year with a .276/.349/.491 slash line, 12 long balls, 42 RBI, 29 runs and 14 doubles in 62 contests while remaining a fixture in the heart of the order.

  • Mets' Eduardo Escobar: Plans to return Saturday

Escobar (impaired vision) plans to play Saturday against the Marlins, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.

Escobar hasn't played since Thursday while dealing with headaches and dizziness which reportedly stemmed from pressure in his ears. He had to go to the hospital to sort the issue out, but he's seemingly been treated successfully, so he's ready to play again Saturday.
